In this article, I will give you 100 of the best battle verses from the Bible. I simply cannot stress enough the power that is on these particular verses. Here’s a direct link to all the verses on 1 page.

For those of you who have read the entire Old Testament, one of the things that really stands out is how God the Father would not hesitate go into battle for His chosen people, the Jews, when they were walking in good stead with Him.

God the Father was absolutely ferocious in His defense of the Jewish people when the situation would warrant Him coming to their aid.

The Bible tells us that God the Father does not change. And if God is still the same today as He was in the past, then this means that He will also come to the aid of all New Testament Christians who are walking in good stead with Him.

The best analogy I can give you on this is the family analogy. For those of you who are married and have children, just imagine that you just found out that someone was going to try and abduct and kill one of your children. What do you think your natural response to such a horrible threat would be?

You would have a strong righteous wrath rise up on you, and you would not hesitate to go into battle to either kill this abductor in self-defense if you had to, or arrange to make sure he got caught by the police and properly prosecuted.

I have had mother after mother tell me that they would not hesitate to kill someone like this if they thought their child was going to be killed or seriously injured by such an evil individual.

It is the exact same way with God the Father. God is our real Father, and as such, can you imagine what some of His emotional responses may be when He sees one of His own children come under any type of human or demonic attack?

God the Father is a God of maximum intensity. This means that all of His emotions within His personality are going to be of a maximum intense nature.

So if God would have a very strong righteous wrath rise up on Him when seeing any of His own children come under any kind of an evil attack – can you just imagine what the intensity of that righteous wrath would be like?

This is why some of the battles God fought for the Jewish people back in the Old Testament were so bloody and so intense. Some of these battles were the full wrath and anger of God coming into full manifestation to defeat some of Israel’s enemies.

Just as God was so ferocious in His defense of the Jewish people back in the Old Testament – God can be just as intense and just as ferocious in His defense of you or any of your loved ones should the need ever arise where you would need His protection.

This is why the battle verses I will list in this article are so important for each and every Christian to have full knowledge of.

However, in order to be able to get God’s maximum protection on you, there are several things you must do before God will go this far with you. As I have said in my article on “How to Plead the Blood of Jesus for Deliverance and Protection,” many of God’s children are getting beat to a pulp in the playing field of life.

The main reason for this is that many Christians are lacking real working knowledge in the area of spiritual warfare.

God says in His Word that His people will perish for having lack of knowledge. And not having the right kind of knowledge in spiritual warfare is what is getting so many of His people beat up in this life.

Demons, and humans who have chosen to live this life on the dark side, are constantly on the prowl seeking who they are going to try and devour next.

All you have to do is watch the daily news and it is one horror story after another. Robberies, abductions, murders, and thefts are occurring every minute of every day in our country and all across the world. And some of those who are coming under these types of evil attacks are Christians.

For those of you who really want to learn how to get God to protect you from some of these types of vicious and evil attacks – I would strongly recommend that you read and study the article I did on how to Plead the Blood of Jesus – and then go into our Testimonies section and study some of the testimonies we have written up showing you how to go into battle against some real adverse situations.

The battle advice that we had given to each person in these testimonies brought complete and total victory against the adverse situations they were all facing.

Once you have the knowledge on how to get God to move on your behalf in a battle situation – defeating whatever enemy has come your way can then become quite easy, since God is all-powerful and there is nothing that He cannot do – which would include handling any type of storm cloud that may have just come your way.

I would also highly recommend that you write or type out all of these battle verses on index cards in the order that I will give them to you. If you are willing to take this kind of extra step with the Lord, then you will have right at your fingertips all of the main battle verses of the Bible.

As you will see when reviewing some of our testimonies, you will need to incorporate some of these battle verses into your own personal battle prayers when engaging with whatever enemy may have come your way.

A good example of this is the testimony titled, “Battle Prayer Against Terminal Hodgkin’s Disease.” In this testimony, the battle prayer that I had given to this woman came in a little bit longer than some of the other ones. In this battle prayer are quite a few healing and battle verses that were put into the battle prayer itself so she could go on the offensive against the terminal cancer that had just struck her brother.

This is why I cannot stress enough how powerful these battle verses really are. If you are willing to put these battle verses into an index card system – you will then have right at your fingertips “God-torpedoes” to shoot at whatever enemy may come your way – whether it be human, demonic, or any kind of illness or disease.

As you will see in some of the battle verses I will list below – there are several verses that talk about God the Father being a “Man of War,” and that He can be stirred up to go into battle for you. And the way that you stir up God the Father to go into battle for you is to form out the appropriate battle prayers that will fit the specific battle situation you may be facing.

The other angle on all of this is that more Christians need to learn how to go on the offensive against whatever enemy has come their way. Too many Christians are way too passive when they are hit by any type of serious storm cloud.

God the Father is just waiting for you to come directly to Him to take this storm cloud head on operating under His full power and authority to be able to do so. But if you are not willing to go on the offensive against these bad storm clouds like David did with Goliath, then neither will God.

And this is why so many Christians are getting defeated when these types of bad storm clouds do come against them – all due to passive inaction on their part.

Now I will take you into some of the most powerful verses in all of the Bible showing you how God can go into battle for you to defeat whatever enemy may come your way – no matter how big, mean, or nasty you think this enemy may be!

Study these verses very, very carefully, as they are all showing you the “war side” to God the Father’s personality and how ferociously He can go into battle for you to defeat any enemy that may try and come against you in this life. These are whopper power verses, and I mean whopper power verses!

1. The Full Surrender
2. Going On the Offensive Against Your Enemies
3. Walk in All of God’s Ways – Keep All of God’s Commandments
4. God Will Anoint You With His Power To Go Into Battle
5. God Will Give You His Strength, Boldness, and Courage to Walk With His Anointing
6. God Will Run Protection For You
7. God Will Go Before You To Fight Your Battles
8. Battle Angels

Stay Humble in Your Battle Walk With the Lord

I will end this article with two very good verses showing us that even though God can come to our aid in very powerful and miraculous ways to defeat our enemies – He still wants us to remain humble with all of this, along with making sure that we treat all of our enemies with love, respect, and kindness.

  1. Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; lest the Lord see it, and it displeases Him, and He turn away His wrath from him.” (Proverbs 24:17)
  2. If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; for so you will heap coals of fire on his head, and the Lord will reward you.” (Proverbs 25:21)

Notice the first verse is telling us not to rejoice and be happy when God does have to move into battle to defeat our enemies. The reason for this is because your enemy has now been placed under judgment with God, and God is now deeming that some kind of appropriate action has to be taken.

This is actually a very sad state of affairs when God is forced to have to render some type of judgment on someone.

This is why God does not want us rejoicing when He does have to go this far with someone. The best analogy to understand this principle is with our criminal justice system.

Even though everyone is glad and relieved when a murderer is caught and sent to prison for the rest of his life – the sad part about all of this is the fact that the murderer has chosen with his own free will to live his life on the dark side and that he will go straight to hell when he dies and crosses over, unless he gets saved and gets all of his sins forgiven with Jesus before he dies.

The Bible tells us that murderers will not be inheriting the Kingdom of God unless they get saved and washed clean under the Blood of Jesus. If they do not, then it is very sad thing knowing what awaits all of them on the other side once they die and cross over. I think this is why God wants all of us to treat even our worst enemies with love, respect, and kindness.

Conclusion

All of the above Scripture verses will give you more than enough live ammunition should you ever need them to face any enemy or storm cloud head on.

You can also use many of these battle verses in conjunction with the healing verses of the Bible when you are needing a healing on something.

All sickness and disease is also our enemy, and as such, you can ask God to move into battle for you against any sickness or disease that is attempting to come against you as we have shown you how to do in the Testimonies Section of our website.

Just pick out the appropriate battle and/or healing verses for whatever enemy you are attempting to engage with – then form out your own personal battle prayer with God the Father – and then go on the offensive against that enemy if you have a solid green light from the Lord to take that enemy head on.

Our God is a powerful Man of War – and He can be stirred up to go into battle for either you or any of your close loved ones if your enemy will not retreat or back down.

I was so happy to find your page please snd me verses that I can pray to move God in this battel God bless you I am greatful below is my story

its three am and I can not sleep, my heart is over whelmed with pain my mind racing with thoughts and prayers, I pray day and night for my husband, we have been married twenty one years this December. in June 2010 my husband came home and set down and said to me we need to talk, then he told me he had a girl friend and that he was moving out {my husband was a christen when we got married but had backslid en} I could not believe what I was hearing, he packed his bags and left, I cryed and prayed day and night cryed so hard that my eyes were bleeding, the girl her name is Tonya she is twenty years younger then my husband. I stood on Gods word and my husband would call me almost every day he would say he loved me but that he wasn’t in love with me any moore, he would also tell me to keep praying and trusting God, I was doing that any way no matter what he said. then he came home January 2, 2011, I was so happy and so grateful for what God had dune Aaron was happy to and prayed with me, and was very loving his old self. However the girl would not give up she would drive by our house day and night she was constantly calling and texting, my husband is a entertainer she showed up every time he performed front and center, dressed very sexy and she would follow us when we went places, when we would even go to the store she would be out side in the lot when we came out, I also prayed for her all the time and I forgive her, when she would do these things and I would start to feel any kind of haterd for Tonya I would ask God not to let me hate her and I ask that God would remove her from our lives and save her. She came to my doore three different times when I would answer she would tell me that my husband didn’t love me that he loved her that he didn’t want me he wanted her and many moore evil and hurtful things she would how I was a old woman {my husband and I are a year and have apart} I told her that I forgave her and that I pray for her every day, that seamed to make her mad and she said that she was a Christan and not to judge her, she also said to me good luck with your prayers so on October 14, 2011 my husband again told me he was leaving to move in with her. I am praying and crying out to the Lord day and night for my husbands heart to be turned to me and for him to come home and for her to be removed from our lives for ever please I ask with a humble heart for any help you can give me I need a miracle. I told my husband before he left that we are one and that I don’t want to live a Tonya’s house and he said honey don’t give up, just trust God to bring me back. He 55years old. God gave me a vision that would like to share with you also,

I was laying in my bed had been praying for my husband and was unable to go to sleep, just telling the Lord and crying out about my marriage, then all of a sudden I seen a small white cloud come through the window coming at me even thought it be a short distances from my window to where I lay, it was moving slow yet moving as thought it was moving yet slow and came three times, on the thirded time it came to me then I was suddenly above the earth way above sailing you might say I could see the earth below me as I moved over it I see the valleys and munitions and Cannon’s below me, then I was back in my home {and I keep my bible open on the table where I read and pray}and I seen my bible on the table and there came a what looked like a tornado yet everything in the house was still and the tornado was right over my open bible and the tail of the tornado was right in the center as the bible layed open, suddenly all the pages started coming out of the bible being taken into the tornado one page at a time until all the pages were inside the tornado until just the shell was left. Then I was standing in front of my husband he was setting in a chair in the spirit of the stranges woman’s house {though I have never been there I knew that where I was} his arm was on the back of the chair and one arm on the table and the pages from my bible that were in the tornado sudnley covered him like papermashay I could see the out line of my husband but there was no spot on him that was not covered from head to toe with the pages, {in my mind I was thinking that I was there but he knew not that I was there} then I was home in my bed still awake and it was over.

    i. Many Christians have a wrong idea about spiritual warfare. They picture the Christian army as assaulting the kingdom of hell, and on patrol against demons and spiritual enemies. Much of this is based on a misunderstanding of Matthew 16:18: And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

ii. It’s easy to see how a first reading of this passage gives the picture of the church as an assaulting army, bombarding the gates of Hell, and plundering Hell and conquering it. The problem is that this understanding is completely inconsistent with the rest of the Scriptures. Nowhere do we read of the church assaulting or conquering Hell in this way.

iii. Instead, we should understand what is meant by the phrase “the gates of Hades.” In the ancient world, the city council, judges, and city leadership gathered together at the gates of the city. It was the place where the city life was planned, organized, strategized. It’s in this sense that Jesus speaks of the gates of Hades. He means that no satanic strategy, no plot from Hell will ultimately succeed against the church.

iv. Instead of picturing the army of the church seeking out and attacking some kind of demonic fortress, we are to have the idea that Jesus illustrated in His ministry. Jesus didn’t patrol around, looking for demons to conquer. That would almost be allowing demons to set the agenda for His ministry. Instead, Jesus knew what God the Father wanted Him to do, He set about doing it, and He dealt with satanic opposition when it arose. When satanic opposition raised itself, Jesus stood against it and was not moved.

    v. So the idea is that God has given us a call, a mission, a course to fulfill. Satan will do his best to stop it. When he attacks and intimidates, we are to stand. It is plain that this is Paul’s emphasis in Ephesians 6:11 and 6:13. We love an energetic church that advances the Kingdom of God so vigorously that it shakes the councils of hell, but we don’t let principalities and powers set our agenda. We do the Lord’s work and stand against every hint of spiritual opposition.

Here are some of my favorite WARfare verses against the enemy. A few of mine are the same as quoted above. Satan loves to use unbelievers and false professors of christianity to do his bidding and most of mankind are under various levels of demonic control and influence. Without the Holy Spirit they are literally marionette puppets of the devil in varying degrees. I’ve used these and many other verses against these kinds of people not as a direct attack against them but the spirits who control them. They are very powerful!

Do good O Lord, to those who are good, And to those who are upright in their hearts. As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, The Lord shall lead them away with the workers of iniquity. ~Psalm 125:4,5

I have walked in Your Truth and no longer sit with idolatrous mortals, nor will I go in (harlot “church” denominations) with the hyprocrites. ~ Psalm 26:3,4

    Dear Sharon Bell

Please ask god to put a hedge around him. Like in HOseaa chapter how god puts a hedge around Gomer his wife and she returned to him after going astray. I will support you in prayer. Remember our god is a compassionate and faithful god. He will answer your prayer speedily.

where are the 100 verses on this page??

    • Chris - July 23, 2013 at 5:00 pm

Hi Jordan, they are spread out among the 8 different parts to this article. Originally, the article was 30+ pages and with tablets, smart phones, it was too big and would take to long to download so I have been breaking some of these longer articles into their own articles and creating a series on these. But I think you gave me a great idea where I can list all the verses at the end of this article so its all on one page. Give me a day and I’ll have it done

This is powerful or as you called it whopper information. Thank you so much for the warfare scriptures. I myself is a strong person because all the fairy darts the devil threw at me I am still standing strong especially with my son battling addiction. Because the LORD has given me boldness, and faith to deal with this knowing that the end result is VICTORY. Right now I am on fasting because I remember JESUS told his disciples when they could not cast out the demons out of this man and JESUS did it, “that these things only comes out with prayer and fasting. So with these warefare scriptures that THE LORD JESUS gave you the time to prepare and provide I KNOW the positive result of my sons supernatural and miraculous healing is eminent, and don’t forget the glorious crown awaits you in heaven.
Thank you and may God bless you now and forever

    • Titilayo Olowoyeye - July 16, 2017 at 12:52 pm

      Hello Sharon,

I hope that you get this message. It has been a long time since you wrote it, and I pray that all is well with you now, and your husband. I too am kind of going through something similar, and like you, I am also in prayer mode. With faith, I am believing God almighty, for a miracle.

I read your vision as well, and can only interpret it as this. The white cloud is your husband, and he is good inside, but has let the flesh or satan in the world, take over himself, in the form of adultery. The way the cloud went and came to you, may represent your husband going and coming back. That is, leaving you to go to the lady, and then coming back. He could be having a mid life crisis, and let the devil in, by finding solace in a younger lady.

Sharon, your then being lifted up over the earth, and seeing mountains, cannons, and valleys, represent a time or journey of struggle and marital suffering. This has caused pain in your life and marriage. Your husband still loves you, and is confused.

Last of all, the tornado in the center of the holy scriptures, represent your strong prayers for your marital reconciliation, as well as for your husband. The chapters or verses you pray for your husband and marriage, then going upon your husband, is Jehovah God’s sign to you, that he is working on it. You have to be patient. The way you see him in the lady’s spirit, shows that she has a strong hold on him, but your prayers to Jehovah God, prevail. He is confused. This represents one hand on the table, and one hand on the back of the chair. the chair and table, could also represent you, and the lady. One he loves (You), and the other, the lady, who is just a cover up, for his insecurities in mid-life. So, please, keep praying. Your marriage will work out. After it is put together again, please, keep praying. You and him. If he isn’t praying, continue the prayer. Jehovah will prevail.

      Jehovah blesses you.

      Amen.
