The Different Kinds of
Demonic Spirits
o those of you who would like to learn more about the deliverance ministry, we are going to use this article to give you more specifics on the different kinds of demonic spirits that are out there.
This article will attempt to take you into the heart of the different kinds of strategies that demons will use against people.
For the most part, demons are known by their “function names.” The function name will tell you what the demon specializes in once he becomes attached to a person, whether it be on the outside of the person or on the inside of the person.
For instance, a spirit of lust will specialize in transmitting lust onto the person they are attached to. Once they transmit that feeling of lust onto this person, they will then try and get the person to act out on it. This is how many people end up engaging in fornication, adultery, or pornography. This is what you call a person coming under “direct demonic influence.”
Most of these cases are not full possession type cases, so God will still hold the person completely responsible for their actions, even if a demon is sliming them with this lustful feeling, along with providing them with the actual compulsion to try and act out on it. God still held both Adam and Eve totally responsible for their actions in the Garden of Eden, even though it was the devil himself who tempted Eve to eat the fruit off that forbidden tree, and then Eve persuaded Adam to do the same thing.
Satan still has not changed his tactics and strategies, and he still uses both demons and other people to try to get us to fall into various types of sins. But whether we are coming under any kind of direct influence from demons or other people, the choice will always remain with us as to whether or not we will fall for the temptation to sin directly against the Lord.
All demons can do is try and make you do bad and evil things. And unless you are dealing with a case of temporary possession, or someone who has become mentally ill in some way, most of the time the person will have all of his senses fully intact enough to know right from wrong, and will know what the full consequences of their acts will be if they decide to go all the way through with it.
A good example of this are the people who murder their loved ones in a fit of rage and jealousy. Many of the times, these crimes are premeditated, which means the person is actually thinking about it and planning on how to do it.
Once they go into this kind of a planning stage, the demons will then keep the pressure on from the back end to try and get them to follow all the way through it. But the person can still stop it and call it off anytime they want to. They know full well what the consequences are going to be if they get caught – life imprisonment or the death penalty. But in many of these cases, they will still follow all the way through with it and actually kill their spouse or whoever else they have targeted.
Demons with function names of murder, rage, and hate are many of the times the driving force behind these types of horrible crimes. But again, the person is still fully cooperating with these demons with their free will and as a result, they will be held totally accountable and responsible by both the law if they are ever caught, and by God Himself once they die and cross over to face Him head on for their own personal judgment.
Most of the time people have no idea that it really is demons who are operating behind the scenes providing more fuel to their fires with what they specialize in, such as spirits of hate, murder, jealousy, rage, anger, bitterness, and unforgiveness. Once a group of these types of demons attach to a person who may have been really hurt in a love affair, or a spouse being divorced by the other spouse, or a spouse catching another spouse in an adulterous love affair, they will then try and do everything they can to slime the person with what they specialize in so as to try and get them to act out on these negative feelings and emotions.
This is why it will really help everyone if they knew what some of the basic function names of the demons were, so they can then immediately spot their negative influence when they do try and move in for an attack on someone who may be open to their negative and evil influence.
The first basic rule of any type of warfare, whether it be spiritual warfare or natural warfare, is to know your enemy. And knowing the basic function names of the demons who are out there will give you a good head start, as their function names will tell you how they are “playing” that person, along with providing you with clues as to what their legal rights may be on that person.
In this article, I am going to give you some of the basic groupings which will show you the different areas that demons will like to target once they move in on a person. Here they are in a bolded, numbered format so you can have all of them right at the top of this article:
- Murder
- The Occult
- Lust
- Pride
- Mental Health
- Unforgiveness
- Sickness
- Different Kinds of Vices
- False Religions
These 9 specific areas are some of the major areas that demons will try and target once they move in for an attack on someone. These are the “games” that demons will try and play on us, and these are real life-and-death games, not fun type games. This is why the Bible tells us to always be sober, vigilant, and alert for any kind of demonic activity that could set in on either us, or any of our close loved ones.
Now I will go ahead and discuss each one of these groups under the captions below so you can see how demons will try and operate against you.
Here are the main groups and the function names of the demons operating in each of these specific groups. These demons are still to this day roaming in the air trying to attack us anytime they see a hole occur in our protective hedge with the Lord. Also note that demons can play more than one of these games on any one individual person.
1. Murder
These types of demons, and the ones who specialize in the occult, are the two worse kinds of demons you can ever come across.
In this first group are the demons who specialize in trying to set people up to murder and kill. This will include demons who will try and get people to either kill themselves in the form of a suicide, or kill other people in cold-blooded murders. There is not a day that goes by where we do not see reported on our local news stations the murder or suicide of individual people in this life.
In fact, it is so common and so prevalent, that we have become literally desensitized to all of it since we hear about it so much on a daily basis. It is only when it happens to someone who may be close to us that we are given the full realization of how evil of an act murder and suicide really is. And if it should happen to a very close loved one like your child, your spouse, or a parent, it will rip your heart into a million pieces and leave a hole in your soul that will never fully go away until you cross over to the other side to be with Jesus for all of eternity.
Through the power of the Holy Spirit on the inside of you, God can help heal the emotional wounds of this kind of trauma, but you will never lose the actual memory of the event, or the sadness at losing a close loved one in such a horrible, evil, and senseless fashion.
The Bible has already given us fair warning that Satan and his demons have come to kill, steal, and destroy, and until Jesus comes back to set up His Millennium Kingdom from the the city of Jerusalem, we are all going to have to battle this kind of an evil reality on a regular basis whether we like it or not. As such, it will really help everyone if they can learn how the enemy will try and operate against them.
Here are some of the main function names of the demons who specialize in this kind of extreme evil activity:
- Murder
- Hate
- Rage
- Anger
- Violence
- Death
- Revenge
- Destruction
- Darkness
- Suicide
- Abortion
- Jealousy
- Sadism
- Fighting
As we have said before, demons usually travel in groups or clusters, with one demon being the chief demon and the rest of the demons being his underlings under his direct control and direction.
In many of these types of cases, the chief demon will be a spirit of murder and then he will have his underlings having some of the functions names listed above. They will then move in and set up shop on someone if they have the appropriate legal rights to be able to do so, and they will then try and work and play that person over a period of time to either try and get them to kill themselves or other people, or possibly both, as murder-suicides are still very common in this day and age.
Again, in most of these cases, the person is not in a fully possessed state. They still have most, if not all of their senses fully intact, and know basic right from wrong.
The demons will then plant their thoughts, their suggestions, their pictures in their mind’s eye, and their strategies on how to do this – but the person can still resist these types of evil temptations at anytime and choose not to act out on them.
Demons cannot make you do anything against your own free will. All they can do is try and persuade you to do it, along with trying to give you the actual desire and compulsion to want to do it. From there, the choice will be up to that person as to whether or not they will want to go all the way through with it and actually act out on these evil desires being implanted into them by the demons.
It simply amazes me how so many people will blindly follow these kinds of evil demonic suggestions and promptings, and actually carry out acts of pure, cold-blooded murders on either themselves or anyone else the demons have targeted for them. Just because you get an evil thought or an evil desire to kill either yourself or someone else does not mean that you have to actually try and carry it out.
Again, people need to be taught the basics on how demons will try and play mind games with you so they can get you to do their evil bidding. The mind is the battlefield in the area of spiritual warfare, with both demons and God tying to reach you through your mind. God will be trying to transform and renew your mind through His Word, and demons will be trying to reach your mind so they can get you to act out on their evil suggestions.
2. The Occult
This next class of demons are the next worse kind of demons you can ever come across. Many deliverance ministers have found out on the actual battlefields that demons who specialize in any area of the occult are some of the more evil and powerful demons in Satan’s kingdom, and sometimes are the hardest kind to be able to actually cast out. This is why God the Father was so strict back in the OT with the Jewish people in that they were to have absolutely nothing to do with any kind of occult activity whatsoever.
In the Spiritual Warfare section of our site, we have an article titled, “Dangers of the Occult.” In this article are all of the main verses on God warning us to stay completely away from any kind of occult activity.
I believe there are demons who literally specialize in every single kind of occult activity that is out there. For the purposes of this article, I am going to go ahead and list all of the different kinds of occult activities that we are to stay completely away from in this life. All of these were listed in our “Dangers of the Occult” article. Here they are once again so you can have all of these at a quick glance with this specific article:
- Fortunetelling – of any kind such as palm reading , crystal ball gazing, numerology, or seeing psychics.
- Tarot Cards
- Ouija Boards and Automatic Writing
- Seances and any involvement with mediums or spiritists.
- Astrology and any form of horoscopes
- I Ching
- Hypnotism
- Transcendental Meditation or any type of Far Eastern Meditation.
- Crystals
- Witchcraft
- Satanism
- Voodoo
- Channeling
- Reincarnation
- Astral Projection
- ESP
- Dungeons and Dragons – role-playing games.
- New Age Movement techniques and activities.
- Necromancy
Again, we cannot emphasize strongly enough that both believers and nonbelievers alike stay completely away from this kind of demonic activity. Every single one of the above activities have specific demons assigned to them, and they will come directly after you if you attempt to try any of these kinds of activities out.
If you want to see what demons can do to a person once they have opened up the doors by engaging with any type of occult activity, read our 2 articles titled, “The Extreme Dangers of the Ouija Board” and “The Dangers of Automatic Writing.”
In these two articles are two dramatic, bone-chilling testimonies of two people who drew in very heavy demonic attacks on them as a result of dabbling with a ouija board and automatic writing.
3. Lust
This next class of demons have probably been responsible in bringing down more modern day ministries than all of the other ones combined and put together, especially with men. These types of demons are also responsible for all of the different kinds of perversions and filth we see running across every segment of our society today.
Here is a basic list of some of these kinds of demons:
- Lust
- Fornication
- Adultery
- Pornography
- Pedophilia
- Rape
- Incest
- Homosexuality
- Transvestism
- Transsexuality
- Sexual Orgies
- Wife swapping
- Prostitution
- Bestiality
- Sadomasochism
All of these forbidden areas with the Lord have one major thing in common – and that is they are all tied into a spirit of lust, a spirit of sexual arousal where the ultimate aim is for some kind of sexual gratification.
If you will notice, all of these kinds of activities are having our sexuality to be tied into the wrong kinds of targets. God Himself created us with the ability to have sexual thoughts and feelings, but this gift was only meant to be used and shared within the confines of a holy heterosexual marriage, not in the above kinds of aberrant activities.
Demons obviously know we have this kind of incredible gift from the Lord, so they will do everything they can to try and get you to release this gift through the wrongs kinds of targets and activities such as the ones listed above. How many marriages, ministries, and personal lives have been totally destroyed and brought down as a result of people following after the different kinds of spirits of lust.
The strongest man in God to have probably ever lived, Samson, was completely brought down as a result of lusting after the wrong kind of woman. And to this very day, many people still have not learned from the past and how deadly this kind of spirit can be.
We still have many married people across the world who are still cheating on their spouses in their marriages. And then to top it off, we still have to deal with all of the rapists and pedophiles who are out there preying on all of our young children and women, all because they are choosing with their own free wills not to try and fight this kind of bad and evil spirit.
4. Pride
In the Sanctification Section of our site, we have an article titled, “Pride Will Come Before the Fall.” In this article are all of the main verses having to do with pride and how pride will come before the fall. Satan himself is a perfect example of someone who fell from grace and favor with the Lord as a result of too much pride being built up in his personality over a certain period of time.
As we explained in that article, once too much pride starts to build up over time in your personality, you will then start to lose your ability to see what the real truth is in many of the important matters in your life. The only truth you will now see is what you think the truth is, even if that truth goes against God Almighty Himself.
You will then start to become a little god yourself, thinking that all of the world revolves around you and your own set agendas. You will then become very selfish and narcissistic and will refuse to listen to any kind of correction or counsel the Lord will try and bring your way.
Demons know how powerful and destructive of a thing pride can be in helping to bring a person down, so they will do everything they can behind the scenes to try and build up a person’s ego through false flattery and vain imaginations.
Here is a list of some of the different kinds of demons who will try and bring someone down through the use of pride:
- Pride
- Arrogance
- Haughtiness
- Rebellion
- Blasphemy
- Control, Domination
- Possessiveness
- Contention
- Quarreling
- Critical, Judgmental
- Selfish
- Narcissistic
- Unbelief
- Skepticism
- Greed
- Paranoia
- Deceit
- Mockery
Once the spirit of pride enters into someone, either through demons and/or through a person’s own human spirit, many of the above qualities will follow right along with it.
How many prideful people do you know who also exhibit additional negative qualities such as being too judgmental and too critical of other people. Since their inflated sense of pride tells them they are always right and never wrong, then there is no room for anyone else who does not agree with them. As a result, they will become very judgmental and critical of anyone else who does not agree with them.
As their pride continues to build up, they will then become more selfish and narcissistic, as all they will be able to see is what is in their own little world. As a result, everything else in their lives will become totally irrelevant, including the members of their own families.
They will then start to want more and more, especially in the area of power, wealth, authority, control, money, and material goods. From there a strong spirit of greed will start to enter in and before you know it, they will have lost all contact with God, their best friends, and family members. They will then become an island and a god all to themselves.
And then it happens, everything comes tumbling down around them. They lose all of their friends, their families, their wealth and money, and most importantly of all, they lose their connection and personal relationship to God Himself.
Saddam Hussein of Iraq is a perfect example of someone who had it all in the area of power and material wealth, and then lost all of it in a matter of days as a result of letting his pride get in the way of letting the UN inspectors into his country to look for weapons of mass destruction that were never found.
Demons are masters at playing the pride game with people since that is what caused all of them to get cast out of heaven in the first place. And so many people to this very day are still continuing to fall for this type of evil spirit, such as some of our politicians, the CEO’s of different companies, and even some of the pastors and clergy in our different churches.
Just realize that pride is a major, offensive weapon of demons, and they will play this kind of game with anyone they feel will be susceptible to it, especially those who are in any type of leadership position.
5. Mental Health
The Bible tells us that God has given us a spirit of power, love, and a “sound mind.” And what do you think demons will want to try and do just off this one verse alone – to try and give all of us an unsound mind. In other words, they will try to make us mentally unstable as much as they can.
Here is the verse from our Bible giving us this very powerful revelation about God wanting to give all of us a very sound mind in Him:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
This, without question, is one of the favorite games that demons will try and play with all of us. If they can make us mentally unstable to any significant degree, they will then be able to do significant damage to our abilities to our operate in our callings for the Lord, if not completely knock us right out of our calls.
Here are some of the function names of the demons who will operate in this realm:
- Fear
- Depression
- Torment
- Dread
- Hopelessness
- Despair
- Insecurity
- Paranoia
- Suspicion
- Distrust
- Insecurity
- Loneliness
- Shyness
- Discouragement
- Passivity
- Lying
- Deceit
- Antisocial
- Compulsive neurotic behavior
- Phobias
- Madness
- Insanity
- Schizophrenia
- Multiple Personalities
- Hearing Voices
- Mind Control
We all battle some of these types of faults and imperfections from time to time. Not everyone who has fear, shyness, or loneliness on them is under any kind of demonic attack. But where you can get into problems with some of these types of conditions is when demons do move in and try to intensify what you may already be going through.
For instance, if you are battling your own emotions of fear and insecurity as a result of having just lost your job, then the demons will try and attach to you if they can, and then start to slime and hit you with their own fear. Once their fear starts to hit you on top of your own fears already hitting you, then you are getting hit with what I call a double whammy.
Demons are always looking for an opening in your defenses, a chink in your armor. If they see that you are battling any type of abnormal fear for any type of crisis you are going through, they will then try and add to it so they can get you paralyzed. And if you get paralyzed enough, then you will stop trying to move forward. And if you stop trying to move forward, then you may end up handcuffing God in being able to work with you. This is why it is so important that you realize the types of games demons are capable of playing with you so you do not fall into their traps.
If you have just lost your job, you will need to start seeking and searching for that next new job. And as you are seeking and searching for that next new job, then God will fully guide your steps into the next new job He will want you to have.
But if you quit seeking after that next new job due to battling too much fear and insecurity, then God may not be able to lead you to that next new job because you have just taken yourself off His playing field. And that is exactly what the demons will try and do to you – knock you right off the playing field and onto the bench, so God will not be able to use you or work with you.
Again, do not fall for these kinds of tricks and traps from these demons. This is why the Bible tells us that having knowledge can help keep us from being destroyed and going into any type of captivity. And if the demons can start to play this kind of mind game with you where they can get you mentally unstable to any kind of a significant degree, then you will go into a certain amount of mental captivity. And that certain amount of mental captivity could then end up freezing and paralyzing you and keep you from being able to progress any further on the divine path that God has you set up on.
If demons cannot kill you, they will then try and paralyze you so you can no longer move forward and function in the calling that God has set up for your life. That is why having some semblance of a good sound mind in this life will really help you in being able to fully complete your call for the Lord. Demons know this and that is why they will try and slime you with some of the above negative qualities.
6. Unforgiveness
Another major area that demons will try and target once they see this kind of an opening in your defenses is in the area of unforgiveness. The reason they will try and target this specific area is due to the following verse:
“AND WHENEVER YOU STAND PRAYING, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” (Mark 11:25)
Not only does this verse tell us that God will not be forgiving all of our trespasses if we do not forgive the ones who have trespassed against us, but this verse is also implying that we may have a very hard time in getting any of our personal prayers answered with Him, as it starts out with the specific wording, “And whenever you stand praying.”
And if you cannot get your own personal prayers answered with he Lord, then you will not be able to operate in the calling that God has set up for your life. This is why demons will especially target this area, so they can sever the prayer line between you and the Lord.
Your prayer line to the Lord is your lifeline. Have that lifeline damaged, cut, or severed in any way, and all of the forward momentum in your calling with the Lord will completely shut down until you can get it re-established again.
Here are some of the function names of the demons who will play this kind of mind game with us:
- Unforgiveness
- Bitterness
- Jealousy
- Resentment
- Anger
- Stubborness
- Envy
- Hard-heartedness
All of these negative qualities will all go right along with the main spirit of unforgiveness. These additional qualities is what many of the times will keep you from being able to forgive someone who has trespassed against you. Anger, bitterness, resentment, and a hard heart could all prevent you from being able to try and forgive someone for something bad they may have done to you in your past.
We have a special article in the Psychological Issues of our site titled, “How to Handle Negative Feelings When Wronged by Someone Else.” If any of you are battling any type of unforgiveness in your life, you may want to read this article, as we go further in depth on this topic and show you how you can really do this with the Lord’s help.
God does not want us walking around with any type of heavy anchors and burdens wrapped around us. And holding any type of major unforgiveness against anyone will be a major heavy anchor wrapped around your soul until you can get it completely cut away from you by the power of the Holy Spirit.
7. Sickness
As a result of the Adamic curse that is still in full operation on this earth, every single one of us will have to battle a certain amount of sickness and illness in this life.
Most of the times, any type of sickness or illness we may get will be due to natural type causes. With all of the bad foods we eat, the pollution that is in our air, and just the normal wear-and-tear and aging our physical bodies will go through, all of these will contribute to our bodies breaking down with various types of illnesses and diseases at times.
However, if you study many of the deliverances that Jesus did in the Gospel accounts, there were quite a few times that a person’s illness was directly due to a demonic spirit. And once that demon was cast out, then the person had a full physical healing.
These types of spirits are called spirits of infirmity, and they will specialize in attacking our physical bodies and causing them to get sick in some way. You will need proper discernment from the Holy Spirit as to whether or not someone’s illness is being caused by a demon, or if it is just coming from natural cause and effect from all of the different Adamic curse factors that are still in full play.
Here are some of the function names of the demons who will operate in this realm:
- Spirit of Infirmity (any kind of disease or illness)
- Death
- Anorexia
- Bulimia
- Insomnia
- Abnomal amounts of lethargy, sleepiness
- Epilepsy
- Gluttony
Again, you will need proper discernment from the Holy Spirit as to when you are dealing with a demon who is causing a specific type of illness or disease. But just remember this is a type of game that demons can play with us and not to overlook this possibility if you are dealing with a specific type of illness or disease with someone.
Anorexia and bulimia especially should be looked at very carefully, as demons love to do these two if they can get away with it. If they can prevent you from properly eating, then you will not have the proper nutrients entering your body to properly function, and you could then seriously put your own life in danger if you stay in these two conditions long enough.
However, gluttony will be the opposite end of this extreme. If the demons cannot try and kill you by starving your body to death, they will then try and kill you by causing you to overeat.
Many of our natural illnesses, such as heart attacks and cancers, are caused by people overeating of the wrong kinds of foods over too long of a period of time. And spirits of gluttony love to attach to people to see if they can get them to eat themselves to death.
8. Different Kinds of Vices
If demons will try and cause you to either overeat or under eat in order to try and kill you, then this next realm should come as no surprise. This next realm is where you get into the different types of vices and addictions that are out there – and demons love to play this kind of extreme game on anyone they can.
Here are some of the main function names of these kinds of demons:
- Alcohol
- Cocaine
- Heroin
- Meth
- Marijuana
- LSD
- Anti-prescription drugs
All of these vices can become extreme addictions and they can all shorten our life span, not to mention they can all seriously cripple us and prevent us from being able to properly function in this life and in our specific callings for the Lord. Get hooked on any of these types of heavier drugs, or get to the point where you have become an alcoholic, and God will then not be able to use you in the calling that He has set up for your life until you can get yourself properly cleaned up and fully delivered.
Again, this is why demons will play this kind of heavy, extreme game with some of us, as they know once they can get a person hooked on these kind of addictive substances, they will then knock that person right out of their divine destinies with the Lord. How many potential great men and women of God have never made it to the starting line with the Lord due to the fact that they could never fully break free from their specific addictions?
Once demons see someone starting to dabble and experiment with the above substances, they will waste no time in trying to move in for the kill, as they know they will have the appropriate legal rights to be able to attach to that person.
This is why experimenting or dabbling with some of the above heavier drugs could get you into major trouble in the spiritual realm, as demons just watch and wait for people to punch a hole in their protective hedges by experimenting with these kinds of forbidden substances.
9. False Religions
Our Bible is very clear on this next issue. Per our article titled, “The Basics of Salvation Through Jesus Christ,” there is only one name and one way into heaven – and that is directly through Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death on the cross.
There are no other ways, no other names, and no other religions in this world that can get us into heaven. Jesus has made it very clear that He, and only He, is the only way into heaven, and that no one will come to His Father unless they come directly through Him.
With Jesus being the only way into heaven, then it can only be expected that demons will try and conjure up as many other “ways” as they possibly can so they can keep people from finding the only one true Way. Hence you have many false religious systems that are still in operation in the world today.
We believe that all of these other false religious systems in the world today are being run by demons, and each one of these areas are major stronghold areas, with some of Satan’s best and smartest demons running all of these false religious systems.
Here are the major false religious systems still in operation in the world today, with each one of them being run by demonic spirits who specialize in each one of these demonic systems:
- Islam
- Jehovah’s Witnesses
- Mormonism
- Hinduism
- Buddhism
- Confucianism
- Shintoism
- Sikhism
- Jainism
- Zoroastrianism
- Spiritualism
- Christian Science
- Hare Krishna
- Scientology
- Kabbalah
- Unification Church
- Freemasonry
- The Children of God
- EST
- Eckanar
- The Forum
- The Way International
- Theosophy
- Rosicrucianism
- Atheism
- Legalism
I know in the politically correct climate we are now all living in, the above statement is very extreme and controversial. But our Bible leaves us with no other logical explanation as to how the big picture is really set up.
In our article on the basics of salvation through Jesus Christ, we have listed all of the verses showing that Jesus Christ is the only way into heaven. I am going to list them once again under this caption so you can see how God the Father is really driving home the point that no one is going to get to Him and where He lives at unless they come through His Son and the blood that His Son has shed for all of us on the cross.
Simply put – we either come through the blood and the cross, or we do not come through at all.
As such, there are no middle grounds or neutral areas for people to walk into if they do not want to accept Jesus. This is why all of the above religious systems are called “false” religions, because none of them will lead to true eternal salvation with God the Father. They are all dead ends being run by demons.
Once again, here are the most powerful verses in all of Scripture telling us that Jesus Christ is the only way to be able to receive eternal salvation with God the Father:
- “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
- “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all …” (1 Timothy 2:5)
- “There is one body and one Spirit … one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.” (Ephesians 4:4)
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)
- “I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and find pasture … I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:9)
- Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” (John 11:25)
- Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
- And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” (John 6:35)
- “I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.” (John 6:51)
- “… whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:15-16)
- “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3:36)
- “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” (John 8:24)
- “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.” (John 5:24)
- “… And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; He who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11)
- “And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.” (1 John 4:14)
When you read each one of these verses one right after the other, you can really feel the power and authority that is on each one of them, and that God the Father is telling all of us, in no uncertain terms and very easy to understand language, that no one is going to be getting into heaven unless they come directly through His Son Jesus – and that any other ways and any other names in this life are not going to be tolerated and accepted by Him.
The world may want us to have a politically correct tolerance for all of these other false religions of this world, but God the Father is not going to, and as such, and as His direct ambassadors on this earth, we have to tell the rest of the world what the real truth is.
Once you see what the real truth is through Jesus Christ, it is just heart-breaking to see so many people bound up and in captivity to all of these other false religious systems across the world. Millions and millions of people are being held behind enemy lines in all of these other false religions, and they have absolutely no idea and no clue they are all on the wrong side of the fence.
This is one area where Satan and his demons have been very successful across much of the world. To think that there is only one way, one name, and one faith – and that Satan has managed to create all of these other false religions in order to try and prevent people from finding this one true way is just heartbreaking!
Conclusion
As you can see from this big list, there are demons who literally cover every type of evil we can think of. And to think that all of these evil demons were initially born and created good up in heaven by the Lord.
The Bible tells us that one-third of the angelic host ended up rebelling against God, and as a result, they are now all lost forever and will never, ever get another chance to get back into heaven.
As a result, every single one of these demons have now descended down into the dark side where they have now become nothing but pure evil – and the sum total of their existence is to now live and operate within their function names so they can try and drag all of us down into their lower way of living and then eventually into hell itself.
What a sad and unbelievable reality! And to think that all of these fallen angels had it all at the very beginning of their existence with the Lord.
Knowing some of the basic function names of these demons may help in some of the cases God may bring your way. Again, for the most part, demons will travel in groups or clusters, and when they are allowed to enter into a person’s body, the whole group will then usually move in at once and set up shop. The group will have a head demon, who is known as the chief demon, and the rest of the demons will then be the underlings under his direct control.
At certain times, the Holy Spirit can either give you a word of knowledge or some type of discernment as to what types of demons you are dealing with so you can find out what all of their legal rights may be. And then once you find out what all of the legal rights are, then you can proceed to properly break all of them before the Lord. And once all of the legal rights have been properly broken before the Lord, the demons will then have nothing else left to hold onto, and they will then be able to be cast out of the person with the appropriate command words.
Knowing some of the basic function names and groupings of these demons will also help in giving us a heads up when demons do try and nip at us from time to time. Knowing what kind of evil they like to specialize in will help tip us off when it really is them attacking us.
If more people knew what the basic functions and games of these demons were, they would not so easily fall prey to some of their specific temptations like murder, suicide, and the different types of addictions. Many cold-blooded murders could have easily been stopped dead right in their tracks if more people would have known they were being played by these demons who specialize in the negative feelings and emotions of hate, rage, anger, and murder.
Demons play some of these people just like fiddles, and they then lead them right off the end of some serious life-and-death cliffs. Again, this is why every single church should have some kind of basic teaching on spiritual warfare so the flock will know how the enemy will try and operate against them.
The Bible has already told us that those who lack knowledge will perish and fall into captivity. And not having some of this basic knowledge on how demons can move and operate have caused many to have either seriously stumbled in their walks with the Lord, or have knocked some of them right off the playing field of life itself with an early death and departure from this life. And this was all as a direct result of not knowing how the enemy can move and operate against them.
How many people have been led into murders, suicides, drug addictions, adultery, crime, and perverted sexual lifestyles – all as a direct result of demons playing them on the back end, giving them these unholy desires in the first place, and then prompting them to act out on it – and then with most of these people never stopping to think or analyze where these kinds of unholy desires were coming from in the first place.
Again, a lot of this kind of demonic activity could have easily been stopped dead right at the outset if more people knew how demons really operated behind the scenes.

I CAME ACROSS THIS ARTICLE PRETTY INTERESTING
Very informing
Very good article..Thank you very much !
Is a sin for a Christian to take alcohol beverage of any kind? The Bible is not explicitly clear on this, which have let people with all kinds of opinion on this. Can you shed light on this issue?
I truly receive this information in what I was lead in the spirit to find in the name of Jesus! Lord this is very important to learn.
Thank You !!!!!
Emmanuel, the intake of alcohol is not evil. I think we can all agree that Jesus did not sin, and he drank on occasion. His first public miracle involved the production of alcohol. It is wine that he offered up during the last supper and proclaimed his blood. Before he died, he said “I thirst.” They gave him wine in a sponge and he drank it. Wine is not evil. It is a symbol of salvation. It is used thus because at that time, there was only one way to make sure drinking water was safe, and that was to put alcohol in it. In that way, Alcohol in moderation became a symbol of salvation, and it is used as such in the bible. (Specific quotes elude me at the moment and I do not have a bible on hand.) Alcohol in itself is not evil. It is the abuse of alcohol that is evil.
Wine is not evil, however, overdoing it is. Too much of anything is unbalanced and God is a God of order. However, I would never tell anyone to drink alcohol, you can drink wine just to taste or help your stomach out for whatever reasons. Wine actually represents doctrine in the scriptures, not alcohol…just clearing that up.
Responding to what Emmanuel posted: I would to say that you my good fried Emmanuel should want to have a balance knowledge of wine in Bible can you use my email to contact me.Sorry Jesus did not at any time drank acoholic substance of any make.Yes He turned water into wine but wgat sort of wine? It was not intocicating substance or acohol.Himself is the wine of our soul.Wine spaeks of true life satisfaction and all suficiency which He is to the soul. The people drank it and quarel among themselves questioning why such was brought last because it was sufficiently and evidentialy different from all other kind ever bread. In the Old covenant the Priest does take alcohol. In the New covenant The Believer in Christ is a believer Priest and cannot take anything alcoholic.Alcohol general to a true child of God is sin. What Timothy was recommended to take for his stomach was not alcoholic in content wine but what would be call today as alum. What was use by the good Samaritan was what is known today as iodine solution. What Jesus used for representation of His flesh was fruit of the vine that contain no alcohol.Wine was produced by variety of fruit to to produce the kind of wine for what need that arises.I will be ready to help you more even in other areas of need.Thank you wish Christmas with Jesus Christ.
aResponding to what Emmanuel posted: I would want to say that “you my good friend Emmanuel” and any other persons who would want to have balance knowledge of wine in Bible, can you use my email “lcovenant@rocketmail.com” to contact me. Sorry, and excuse me, JESUS DID NOT AT ANY TIME DRANK ALCOHOLIC SUBSTANCE OF ANY MAKE. Yes He turned water into wine but what sort of wine? It was not intoxicating substance or alcohol. Himself, is the wine of our soul. Wine speaks of true life satisfaction and all sufficiency which He is to the soul. The people drank it and quarrel among themselves, questioning why such was brought last because it was sufficiently and evidentiary different from all other kind ever bread. In the Old covenant, the Priest does not take alcohol. In the New covenant, The Believer in Christ is a believer Priest, and cannot take anything alcoholic substance. Alcohol generally to a true child of God is sin. What Timothy was recommended to take for his stomach was not alcoholic in content as par the wine so mentioned, but what would be call today as alum or water purificant. What was use by the Good Samaritan was what is known today as iodine solution or specially bred substance for wounds and injuries cum bruises. Wine in the early New Testament or even Old covenant was a general reference to any liquid substances but differentiated by the type of fruits used in breeding it. What Jesus used for representation of His flesh was fruit of the vine that contain no alcohol. Wine was produced by variety of fruit to produce the kind of wine for what need that arises. I will be ready to help you more even in other areas of need. Thank you wishing you Christmas with Jesus Christ.
My daughters ex-husband has all of these demons except for number 2 and 8, but he use to drink. I thought I was losing my daughter to Satan that is how bad it got. Now he is onto a new victim. I pray for her and her daughter to be safe, you would think she would be smarter than to fall for it. She is a teacher and this man that has the demons has 3 kinds by three different women. Common denomiator. HIM. I praise the Lord that he answered my prayers to save my daughter, now I hope to do it for someone else, before it is to late. Thank you for explaning the demons for me.
thank you for this.It is eye-opening and quiet informative
i want this information sent to my email. Thanks
Jehovah’s Witnesses are Not a false religion. My parents are both Jehovah’s Witnesses and I have been attending the congregation since I was a child. Everthing Jehovah’s Witnesses believe are backed up with scriptures from the Holy Bible. Jehovah’s Witnesses proudly name themselves after Gods name, which many religions wrongly refuse to use. Jehovah’s Witnesses obey ALL of Gods commandments, they do not get drunk, commit adultery, harm themselves or others in any way, steal, lie, gamble, ect. Jehovah’s Witnesses actively preach Gods word to others. How many other religions actively witness to others? Jehovah’s Witnesses should not be on that list
I agree with all but nine, in truth, some of these religions, like Buddhism, are far far more forgiving than ours. A Monk is similar to a nun, they cut off from all worldly distractions, they don’t drink, and they are extremely forgiving … i heard this one case where a cook at a temple stole money from it and killed all but 1 monk, killing his brother and closest friends … AND HE FORGAVE HIM!!, and they believe in virtues, not multiple gods like stereotypes say, some remarkably similar to the Christian Commandments. One last thing … Monks are calm, collective, and will love, care for, and forgive anyone despite what they may have done. Sadly, people seem to forget that our religion was extremely prejudice not 100 years, Buddhism should not be on this list, their far too similar to a nuns and Christian monks, ARE FAR TOO FORGIVING -_-.
Nicole- Unfortunately any teaching that leads people away from accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior should indeed be included on that list. John 1:1 clearly shows that Jesus and God are one. And Jesus says in John 14:6 that no one can go to the Father (to Heaven) except through Him. I know it may be hard to see initially, because you were brought up in that church, but if you pray that God reveal the Truth to you, and He won’t let you down. A good place to start is http://www.gotquestions.org/Romans-road-salvation.html
A Thoughtful Person- Buddhist monks may have all the patience in the world, but unfortunately works alone cannot buy your way into heaven. Someone can be the most loving caring person in the world, but we have all sinned, and therefore can’t bargain our way into Heaven. There has to be some atonement for our sin. In the Old Testament in the bible, they would sacrifice lambs. When Jesus came, He became the sacrifice for the rest of mankind so that’s why we don’t sacrifice animals anymore. However, the only way to take advantage of this sacrifice is to admit that you too have sinned, and to accept the gift that Jesus gave. If monks (or anyone for that matter) does not believe that Jesus is the *only* way to Heaven, then unfortunately, there is only one other place to go.
I know there are so many false religions out there that confuse people. People are like lost sheep, searching for the Truth. But just pray that God open your eyes and you’ll find Him. Open the bible, read the “red letters” those are the words that Jesus spoke, and let His words speak life into you. Ask questions, and let God completely transform your life!
Press on and fight the good fight….Good ALWAYS wins over Evil….
I’ve been able to see entities ever since I can remember. Lately I’ve been seeing A LOT of demons. I know the Lord is with me but, I don’t know why he doesn’t save me from them. I know he protects us, his Sons and Daughters, and i try my best to pray every day. but because of this ive been wondering if God is really cheering for me..or if He gave up on me.. What should I do? I’ve talked to my Youth Pastor and we prayed..can ya’ll pray for me? please? ive been scared out of my mind since this started. What makes it scarier is that im only a 15 yr old ..if anyone has advice can Ya’ll please tell me? -Thank you and God Bless you all
If it was not for my own personal experience as a Christian, I wouldn’t know if I would believe half of the stuff on this website but sad to say it is all true. Does anyone know about demon(s) which actually tries to make you move. That’s my story. If I allowed it…I would be pretty much a muppet on strings but I have no intention in allowing it to deceive me. However, initally, I mistakenly thought it was the Holy Spirit working in me…until it started to show it true colors. It seems to have this particular trait a lot where it wants me to tilt my head backwards to face the sky. Does anyone know of anything similar? I am undergoing deliverance and believe that we will get cast the slimeball out eventually but I figure knowing how it got there might be helpful. I get the impression it may be ancestral and other than the occassional supernatural book pre-christian, I wasn’t into anything deep.
Hannah- You are wrong. The Bible CLEARLY states that Jesus is Gods Son. Here is an article from http://www.watchtower.org- Is God Always Superior to Jesus?
JESUS never claimed to be God. Everything he said about himself indicates that he did not consider himself equal to God in any way—not in power, not in knowledge, not in age.
In every period of his existence, whether in heaven or on earth, his speech and conduct reflect subordination to God. God is always the superior, Jesus the lesser one who was created by God.
Jesus indicated his Father’s superiority when he said: “Jehovah’s spirit is upon me, because he anointed me to declare good news to the poor.” (Luke 4:18) Anointing is the giving of authority or a commission by a superior to someone who does not already have authority. Here God is plainly the superior, for he anointed Jesus, giving him authority that he did not previously have.
Jesus made his Father’s superiority clear when the mother of two disciples asked that her sons sit one at the right and one at the left of Jesus when he came into his Kingdom. Jesus answered: “As for seats at my right hand and my left, these are not mine to grant; they belong to those to whom they have been allotted by my Father,” that is, God. (Matthew 20:23, JB) Had Jesus been Almighty God, those positions would have been his to give. But Jesus could not give them, for they were God’s to give, and Jesus was not God.
Jesus’ own prayers are a powerful example of his inferior position. When Jesus was about to die, he showed who his superior was by praying: “Father, if you wish, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, let, not my will, but yours take place.” (Luke 22:42) To whom was he praying? To a part of himself? No, he was praying to someone entirely separate, his Father, God, whose will was superior and could be different from his own, the only One able to “remove this cup.”
Then, as he neared death, Jesus cried out: “My God, my God, why have you deserted me?” (Mark 15:34, JB) To whom was Jesus crying out? To himself or to part of himself? Surely, that cry, “My God,” was not from someone who considered himself to be God. And if Jesus were God, then by whom was he deserted? Himself? That would not make sense. Jesus also said: “Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit.” (Luke 23:46) If Jesus were God, for what reason should he entrust his spirit to the Father?
After Jesus died, he was in the tomb for parts of three days. If he were God, then Habakkuk 1:12 is wrong when it says: “O my God, my Holy One, you do not die.” But the Bible says that Jesus did die and was unconscious in the tomb. And who resurrected Jesus from the dead? If he was truly dead, he could not have resurrected himself. On the other hand, if he was not really dead, his pretended death would not have paid the ransom price for Adam’s sin. But he did pay that price in full by his genuine death. So it was “God [who] resurrected [Jesus] by loosing the pangs of death.” (Acts 2:24) The superior, God Almighty, raised the lesser, his servant Jesus, from the dead.
Does Jesus’ ability to perform miracles, such as resurrecting people, indicate that he was God? Well, the apostles and the prophets Elijah and Elisha had that power too, but that did not make them more than men. God gave the power to perform miracles to the prophets, Jesus, and the apostles to show that He was backing them. But it did not make any of them part of a plural Godhead.
Jesus Had Limited Knowledge
WHEN Jesus gave his prophecy about the end of this system of things, he stated: “But of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Mark 13:32, RS, Catholic edition) Had Jesus been the equal Son part of a Godhead, he would have known what the Father knows. But Jesus did not know, for he was not equal to God.
‘New Testament research has been leading an increasing number of scholars to the conclusion that Jesus certainly never believed himself to be God.’ —Bulletin of the John Rylands Library
Similarly, we read at Hebrews 5:8 that Jesus “learned obedience from the things he suffered.” Can we imagine that God had to learn anything? No, but Jesus did, for he did not know everything that God knew. And he had to learn something that God never needs to learn—obedience. God never has to obey anyone.
The difference between what God knows and what Christ knows also existed when Jesus was resurrected to heaven to be with God. Note the first words of the last book of the Bible: “The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him.” (Revelation 1:1, RS, Catholic edition) If Jesus himself were part of a Godhead, would he have to be given a revelation by another part of the Godhead—God? Surely he would have known all about it, for God knew. But Jesus did not know, for he was not God.
Jesus Continues Subordinate
IN HIS prehuman existence, and also when he was on earth, Jesus was subordinate to God. After his resurrection, he continues to be in a subordinate, secondary position.
Speaking of the resurrection of Jesus, Peter and those with him told the Jewish Sanhedrin: “God exalted this one [Jesus] . . . to his right hand.” (Acts 5:31) Paul said: “God exalted him to a superior position.” (Philippians 2:9) If Jesus had been God, how could Jesus have been exalted, that is, raised to a higher position than he had previously enjoyed? He would already have been an exalted part of the Trinity. If, before his exaltation, Jesus had been equal to God, exalting him any further would have made him superior to God.
Paul also said that Christ entered “heaven itself, so that he could appear in the actual presence of God on our behalf.” (Hebrews 9:24, JB) If you appear in someone else’s presence, how can you be that person? You cannot. You must be different and separate.
Similarly, just before being stoned to death, the martyr Stephen “gazed into heaven and caught sight of God’s glory and of Jesus standing at God’s right hand.” (Acts 7:55) Clearly, he saw two separate individuals—but no holy spirit, no Trinity Godhead.
In the account at Revelation 4:8 to 5:7, God is shown seated on his heavenly throne, but Jesus is not. He has to approach God to take a scroll from God’s right hand. This shows that in heaven Jesus is not God but is separate from him.
In agreement with the foregoing, the Bulletin of the John Rylands Library in Manchester, England, states: “In his post-resurrection heavenly life, Jesus is portrayed as retaining a personal individuality every bit as distinct and separate from the person of God as was his in his life on earth as the terrestrial Jesus. Alongside God and compared with God, he appears, indeed, as yet another heavenly being in God’s heavenly court, just as the angels were—though as God’s Son, he stands in a different category, and ranks far above them.”—Compare Philippians 2:11.
The Bulletin also says: “What, however, is said of his life and functions as the celestial Christ neither means nor implies that in divine status he stands on a par with God himself and is fully God. On the contrary, in the New Testament picture of his heavenly person and ministry we behold a figure both separate from and subordinate to God.”
In the everlasting future in heaven, Jesus will continue to be a separate, subordinate servant of God. The Bible expresses it this way: “After that will come the end, when he [Jesus in heaven] will hand over the kingdom to God the Father . . . Then the Son himself will be subjected to the One who has subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.”—1 Corinthians 15:24, 28, NJB.
Jesus Never Claimed to Be God
THE Bible’s position is clear. Not only is Almighty God, Jehovah, a personality separate from Jesus but He is at all times his superior. Jesus is always presented as separate and lesser, a humble servant of God. That is why the Bible plainly says that “the head of the Christ is God” in the same way that “the head of every man is the Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:3) And this is why Jesus himself said: “The Father is greater than I.”—John 14:28, RS, Catholic edition.
The fact is that Jesus is not God and never claimed to be. This is being recognized by an increasing number of scholars. As the Rylands Bulletin states: “The fact has to be faced that New Testament research over, say, the last thirty or forty years has been leading an increasing number of reputable New Testament scholars to the conclusion that Jesus . . . certainly never believed himself to be God.”
The Bulletin also says of first-century Christians: “When, therefore, they assigned [Jesus] such honorific titles as Christ, Son of man, Son of God and Lord, these were ways of saying not that he was God, but that he did God’s work.”
Thus, even some religious scholars admit that the idea of Jesus’ being God opposes the entire testimony of the Bible. There, God is always the superior, and Jesus is the subordinate servant.
Jesus Distinguished From God
TIME and again, Jesus showed that he was a creature separate from God and that he, Jesus, had a God above him, a God whom he worshiped, a God whom he called “Father.” In prayer to God, that is, the Father, Jesus said, “You, the only true God.” (John 17:3) At John 20:17 he said to Mary Magdalene: “I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.” (RS, Catholic edition) At 2 Corinthians 1:3 the apostle Paul confirms this relationship: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Since Jesus had a God, his Father, he could not at the same time be that God.
The apostle Paul had no reservations about speaking of Jesus and God as distinctly separate: “For us there is one God, the Father, . . . and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 8:6, JB) The apostle shows the distinction when he mentions “the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of the elect angels.” (1 Timothy 5:21, RS Common Bible) Just as Paul speaks of Jesus and the angels as being distinct from one another in heaven, so too are Jesus and God.
Jesus’ words at John 8:17, 18 are also significant. He states: “In your own Law it is written, ‘The witness of two men is true.’ I am one that bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.” Here Jesus shows that he and the Father, that is, Almighty God, must be two distinct entities, for how else could there truly be two witnesses?
Jesus further showed that he was a separate being from God by saying: “Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone.” (Mark 10:18, JB) So Jesus was saying that no one is as good as God is, not even Jesus himself. God is good in a way that separates him from Jesus.
God’s Submissive Servant
TIME and again, Jesus made statements such as: “The Son cannot do anything at his own pleasure, he can only do what he sees his Father doing.” (John 5:19, The Holy Bible, by Monsignor R. A. Knox) “I have come down from heaven to do, not my will, but the will of him that sent me.” (John 6:38) “What I teach is not mine, but belongs to him that sent me.” (John 7:16) Is not the sender superior to the one sent?
Jesus Preaching
Jesus told the Jews: “I have come down from heaven to do, not my will, but the will of him that sent me.” —John 6:38
This relationship is evident in Jesus’ illustration of the vineyard. He likened God, his Father, to the owner of the vineyard, who traveled abroad and left it in the charge of cultivators, who represented the Jewish clergy. When the owner later sent a slave to get some of the fruit of the vineyard, the cultivators beat the slave and sent him away empty-handed. Then the owner sent a second slave, and later a third, both of whom got the same treatment. Finally, the owner said: “I will send my son [Jesus] the beloved. Likely they will respect this one.” But the corrupt cultivators said: “‘This is the heir; let us kill him, that the inheritance may become ours.’ With that they threw him outside the vineyard and killed him.” (Luke 20:9-16) Thus Jesus illustrated his own position as one being sent by God to do God’s will, just as a father sends a submissive son.
The followers of Jesus always viewed him as a submissive servant of God, not as God’s equal. They prayed to God about “thy holy servant Jesus, whom thou didst anoint, . . . and signs and wonders are performed through the name of thy holy servant Jesus.”—Acts 4:23, 27, 30, RS, Catholic edition.
God Superior at All Times
AT THE very outset of Jesus’ ministry, when he came up out of the baptismal water, God’s voice from heaven said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.” (Matthew 3:16, 17) Was God saying that he was his own son, that he approved himself, that he sent himself? No, God the Creator was saying that he, as the superior, was approving a lesser one, his Son Jesus, for the work ahead.
