Hindrances to Receiving a Healing

Last updated on:

Sometimes God will not move to heal someone due to some type of block or hindrance. Once this person finds out what that block or hindrance is and gets it properly removed, then many of the time God will move back in to fully heal them.

The following verses will give you some major insight into what some of these hindrances and blocks can be. Again, study these verses very carefully and make sure you do not have any of these possible hindrances before approaching God for your own personal healing. If you do have any of these blocks or hindrances operating in your life – then you will be wasting both your time and God’s time if you start praying for a healing before that block is properly removed.

1. The first block, and this is a major one, is the sin of unforgiveness. As you will see in the following Scripture verse, God the Father will not even begin to hear any of your own personal prayers if you are holding any kind of unforgiveness towards anyone. And if God will not hear any of your own personal prayers – then you will have little or no chance of getting any type of divine healing from Him.

This particular sin is one that God really does not like. The fact that He specifically isolates this sin in reference to your personal prayer life in the following Scripture verse is showing you the extreme importance of it, and that He does not want you holding any type of unforgiveness towards anyone else – no matter how bad any anyone else may have ever hurt or wronged you in your past.

I have read testimony after testimony from people who walk with God’s healing power as part of their anointing, that many of the times God will not heal someone who is holding any kind of unforgiveness towards anyone else. However, once that unforgiveness has been properly taken care of and removed, then God will move in to heal that person.

If you are operating in this specific sin and are holding any type of serious grudges or unforgiveness towards anyone else – then you will need to go before God the Father, confess this sin out, and then tell Him that you will now fully forgive all of the specific people who have ever wronged you in your past.

Tell Him that even though you may not “feel” like you are forgiving these people within your own mind and emotions – tell Him that you are now taking a bold step of faith and that you will now make this confession with your mouth, out of your mind, and that you will do your best not to hold the past against these people.

If you are willing to take this kind of powerful stand with the Lord, then over the course of time God will start to take out the negative emotions of that unforgiveness, and pretty soon you will no longer even feel this unforgiveness towards that person like you had in the past. God will do inner spiritual surgery on the inside of you to remove all of those negative feelings.

Here is the verse.

AND WHENEVER YOU STAND PRAYING, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” (Mark 11:25)

If God will not forgive your own trespasses if you are operating in this sin when you are trying to pray to Him – then I also believe that He may not answer any of your prayers when you are trying to pray for something specific. I believe the four key words in the above verse is “whenever you stand praying.”

2. These next 6 verses will follow-up very nicely to the above verse on unforgiveness. The first verse in this next set will tell you that if you have any kind of “iniquities” that you may be operating in, then this will cause God the Father to hide His face from you and that He will then not “hear” you when you try and pray to Him.

If you are out cheating on your spouse operating in the sin of adultery, then there is a very good chance that God may not hear any of your prayers. And if God is not hearing any of your personal prayers to Him, then you may not be able to receive a divine healing from Him when you will really need one.

So if you are really serious about wanting to approach God the Father for a divine healing, the first thing you must do is make sure that you do not have any sins that may need to be forgiven and washed clean under the Blood of Jesus. You may want to ask the Holy Spirit to help you out. Ask Him to show you if there are any sins that you may not be aware of that will need to be confessed, forgiven, and washed clean under the blood of Jesus.

If you are willing to go this far with the Lord, then you may have just removed any major blocks or hindrances in being able to receive a divine healing from Him. You may have just dramatically increased your chances of now being able to receive a divine healing from God.

Here are the verses. Notice the specific wording in some of these verses – that God will “hear the prayer of the righteous” but that He is “far from the wicked”, that no good thing will He withhold from those who are walking uprightly, that we will receive answers to our prayers if we keep His commandments and do them,” and that He will put “none of these diseases on you” if you do what is right in His sight and keep all His statutes.”

Keep these kinds of verses front and center in your walk with the Lord so that you do not do anything that will prevent Him from wanting to work full force in your own personal walk with Him.

  1. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.” (Isaiah 59:2)
  2. The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.” (Proverbs 15:29)
  3. “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.” (Psalm 84:11)
  4. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.” (1 John 3:22)
  5. My son, do not forget My law, but let your heart keep My commands; for length of days and long life and peace they will add to you.” (Proverbs 3:1)
  6. If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.” (Exodus 15:26)

I believe all of these verses are giving us major insight as to why sometimes we are not getting answers to some of our prayers, especially in the area of divine healing. There is simply no sugarcoating what these verses are trying to tell us.

Even though all of our past, present, and future sins will be fully forgiven under the blood of Jesus, we still have to make every concerted effort on our end to try and stay out of sin. And once we know that we have fallen into a specific sin, then we have to recognize it and admit it before the Lord, and then confess it out to Him as a sin so we can receive His full forgiveness for it.

I believe one of the main reasons why more people do not receive divine healings from the Lord may be due to sins that may not have yet been forgiven because they have not been recognized as actual sins, or that person is unwilling to have their sins be properly dealt with by God the Father.

A person may be operating in the sin of adultery and he simply does not want to give it up. And until he does, there is a very good chance that God will not be hearing any of his prayers, especially in the area of divine healing.

This is why I strongly recommend that anyone who is seeking after a major miracle from God in the area of divine healing – that you ask the Holy Spirit to help you out in discovering what those sins may be that will need to be confessed and forgiven with God the Father. This strategy right here may be the difference as to whether or not you receive a full divine healing from the Lord.

  1. Ok smoking is a strong hold an I pray an ask God to break this Addiction I asked not for me I asked for his qualification I don’t understand this is the only big note saying that I have I have been busted and disgusted taken down to the last thread I have been walking with Christ solid for three years got rid of baggage went through terrible marriage then I was homeless for a year I have been following Christ extremely hard I have been a Christian all my life thank you ✝️ What I’m missing I really have been trusting Jesus for everything an I mean everything ❤️

  2. I don’t know what is and what is not, am only human and I strive to be better, I can only pray and hope that God will show me a little bit of his mercy. I can’t deny that and a sinner and I’d continue to beg for God’s forgiveness and divine healing.

  3. Look I need to be healed and I don’t know what’s blocking it I seek after God everyday. Of course I’m not perfect nor have I ever been. But I have truly been on fire from God I let just about everything I ever enjoy go to be closed to God and nobody even knows what could possibly be wrong with me no doctors so I don’t know but With that’s said I need to know what’s truly blocking me from being healed.

    • Make a decision to trust only in God for your healing. Keep praying and believing, don’t stop! Some healings are not instantaneous, you get better over time. Do not also forget to ask brethren in your local church with your pastor to pray over you. “Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” James 5:13-15

  4. I am truly struggling. I have been following my God for many years. I have not given alot right however, I am trying. I went through a needlestick injury at a health department during a visit. I am so upset at myself because I know God did not want me to go in that particular day and I went anyway…. disobedience…smh. And, now I have also developed lumps in my breasts.

I know God had such great plans for my life because he is a loving God. I have messed everything up. I don’t deserved to be healed but I want to be. This is so much to handle and it’s all because I did not listen to a simple instruction. I want to live. I want my destiny back. Please help.

    • Hebrews 8:12. Hebrews 12:22,24. Please open your heart to receive Gods love .
Jesus said ask .simply ask ,surrender and allow the Holy Spirit do the work , for God says I will do it .peace to your heart and mind

    • God knew you would go, Jesus paid for all our healing so if you have committed your trust to his salvation through the cross healing is yours. I encourage you to study the scriptures and see god healed everyone through Jesus no matter their state of obedience or disobedience, because it is not conditional healing a a free gift to everyone if they will believe that Jesus paid for it, by his stripes we were healed. Be blessed and I pray you will see this truth and receive your full healing as their are no hinderences to healing except our willingness to believe.

    • God does not write you off because of one mistake or many for that matter.
      Please don’t condemn yourself.
Nothing can separate you from the love of god.
Yes, you do deserve to be healed and you will be. Therefore pray to god to heal you. You are under “grace” not the law. When god sees you, he does not see your sin because the blood of Jesus covers you and your sins are no longer remembered. Simply cry out to god for healing. So now , forgive yourself for what you feel is not right, and confidently look forward to gods healing.

    • I feel so much for you and so many on here…

I want you to know that I became so deeply close to God in bodily austerity and conduct that it was unreal. My health gleamed, my essence was pristine and I did healing work only through asking that it be done through me by God.

My journey after that was riddled with ignoring my intuition, sin (gluttony or pride or the inability to honor my destiny and also to share love and grace and forgiveness unto others), and my sins threw me so out of alignment and into a parasite infection, and cancer of the blood and GI tract. God didn’t do this to me, I did because I turned away from God. I am struggling now but I will tell you something…

There are many paths in nature for healing out there and you can find what resonates with you but open your heart…forgive yourself. You too deserve healing as do we all, and I can promise you that although we have some work to do and understandings to embody in our reversals, I can promise one thing for sure:

You are loved, and I feel that God loves you so much more than we can often ever fathom. The heart deepens through suffering, but there is a way through. I’ve struggled so much seeing the life and heart and body I buried in addiction.

You can heal, you are here for a reason and your heart and story can touch many others, even those who are up there with the most vigilant. It touched my soul, and I am grateful for you.

Because you have come to understand God’s love through sorrow, you have been broken and often in breaking we can see the beauty of how the whole picture together really shines.. sometimes that is when we become the closest to God. And you Will make it through, just never forget how much you are loved. If no one told you that today, I want to let you know just how much you mean to this world, and of course you deserve healing and the grace of the Holy Father. Always ♥️

    • Faith Father God is A Forgiving God He is not Holding Anything Against you Once you Ask for Forgiveness it’s Already Done! God will heal you BY Jesus Christ Stripes you are Healed when Jesus went to the Cross he Died for All Our Sickness and Dieases
I Pray you are doing ok I just saw this . Blessings from Evangelist Ella in Texas

  5. perhaps we should start listening and following Gods commands and stop having opinions when preaching or delivering such messages, so lets stick to what the word is saying and sometimes some messages are not meant to be told to a public some words or messages are for individuals.God bless the writer

  6. Not to come across as harsh but this is why ppl don’t get healed because of miss understanding of the wrd I find this strange when u said this

“Sometimes God will not move to heal someone due to some type of block or hindrance. Once this person finds out what that block or hindrance is and gets it properly removed, then many of the time God will move back in to fully heal them.”

Do you remember in the Bible where it says Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever the same never changing we’ll tell me then when Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour was on the earth did he ever operate this way when he came across somebody that needed healing he never not once told one person b4 I heal u u have to stop or promise never to sin again or u have some sort of sin blockage or habit u must correct first neither did any of his disciples operate this way Jesus never turned not one person away who came to him for healing no mater what sin they was or were committing the woman who was caught in the very act of adultry and bought to him by the Pharisees did he say in order for me to forgive u do u promise not to do it again are u sorry about what u did no he forgave her without that requirement then after told her to sin no more in fact it was after Jesus healed ppl that he told them not to sin anymore not b4 so what your saying is not inline with how Jesus operated or his disciples I mean can u point to anyone Jesus or his disciples ever turned anyone away that came to them for help and told them no go correct your sin issue then come to me after and receive that doesn’t sound like Grace that sounds like Old Testament law based where u had to do good to get good Jesus put that law down we no longer operate with that law we operate under Grace the law of the spirit of life and another thing ppl need to understand SIN IS SIN THERE IS NO LITTLE SIN BIG SIN DIFFERENCE ppl always throw the well God really doesn’t like this sin etc dnt ppl realize that if u commit one sin your guilty of all he said it himself if u break one of the laws your guilty of all so to say he not gonna hear u because of Sin means NOBODY ON EARTH WOULD EVER BE HEARD do you ever lie do u ever complain about life get mad at ppl for no reason gossip FORGET TO THANK GOD FOR EVERYTHING U HAVE etc these little so called sins are just as bad as MURDER IN GODS EYES SIN IS SIN so that thing about him not answering prayers because of sin is false look I don’t have all the answers but I know if u have enough faith to believe he exist have enough faith to ask him for what u need and u believe in the name of Jesus Christ and he’s your lord and savior he hears u and even if Jesus is not your Saviour if u have enough faith to ask God for something he will lead u to Christ and still answer your prayer just believe and he will come thru for u but your experience with him is different from everyone else some may receive instant miracles some may take time but it’s not because of him it’s always on us that is why u should also talk to him and ask him to help u not to get in his way be God is faithful and will always listen never let anyone tell u different and one last thing as far as the commandments thing about if u listen and obey them then I will heal u as scriptures say let me ask u which commandments is he talking about as ppl in Christ is he talking about the mossiac law or the new commandments That Jesus Christ gave us which was to believe in the name and to walk in love God Bless hope this helped someone

    • oh my goodness i have never read anything as put together as this truth. i totally agree, thank you.

    • I totally agree with what you said. Thank you. I believe God loves with deep compassion, knows your heart and desires to heal us. Ask and believe God can and will heal with faith and determination.

    • This is definitely good for thought!. Sometimes I feel like I could never measure up to receive anything from God. Over the past years Ive been reevaluating my walk with God and I am so weary of focusing on living right and doing everything right just because I want him to hear my prayers. I was brought up to believe that in order to be a récipient of anything from God you must live a squeaky clean life or hewould not hear my prayers. My parents did everything right but it didnt mater how much they prayed we still suffered financially and physically.

      • It sounds like you are living under fear and condemnation. please don’t do that.
these are the tools of the devil.
You are under no condemnation. Once you have accepted Christ, you are free from any guilt, condemnation and fear. It is no longer your goodness that matters, its Christs goodness that covers you. That’s Calvary. Your righteousness is Christ through faith in his death and resurrection. now if you are covered by the blood of Jesus , you are no longer inadequate or inferior. you are accepted by god. Everything you want or need is just a prayer away. Believing god will answer your prayer is a matter of faith. basically, if you are praying for rain, make sure you carry or have an umbrella handy.

  7. A friend of my family has a brain tumour and has not got long to live. We want to visit and my husband prayed that over her for salvation and healing, and then we were told that she didn’t want anyone to preach to her. Will the Lord heal her if she is not saved

    • Psalms 34:17
The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.

Because you are in Christ your friend will be saved believe that the power of your prayer and the power of GOD ALMIGHTY and HIS GRACE is more powerful then evil force that’s trying to keep her from getting saved and that GOD IS ABLE TO DO ALL THINGS including driving out the devil and unbelief in her heart and changing it to accept Christ I would suggest praying to God for her to accept Christ rather than praying for healing if she accepts Christ she’ll have her healing and more so focus more on praying for that instead of healing itself hope that helps God Bless u and your family

    • I agree with you but that is as far as someone who is yet to believe in Christ is concerned. For if one knows the sin they ought not to do but does it anyways, surely, there is a need for one to repent of such sin or indeed to forgive then one would receive healing.

  8. I don’t believe this. God is supposed to hear our prayers and know our hearts. We shouldn’t have to keep repenting daily. He knows we are human and will sin and make mistakes. But, if he knows our hearts and they are good, he should heal us. He is not supposed to turn away from our prayers. If he doesnt answer your prayers he either cant or doesnt want to. Its that simple.

  9. I don’t understand why your website takes O.T. promises/covenant/verses to make various points in this Church age/very different dispensation/covenant. Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant (Hebr 8)….based on better promises. We no longer live under the law but under grace. I don’t have the answers but I do know that Jesus took the penalty for ALL OF MY SINS on that cross and I am not taking those sins back/or the penalty..I will not insult the Spirit of grace…or treat as unholy the blood of the covenant of Jesus Christ (Hebr 10). Jesus is my Mediator-link to God. Eph 2…For it is by grace we have been saved, thru faith, …its a gift from God……..

God help me & my sisters/brothers to understand Yr grace…Yr will for healing….Help us to study, divide & understand Your Word better…& to submit to the teachings/leadings of HS in the process….I ask You this in Jesus’ Name. We need Your help God.

    • The point is holding onto unconfessed sin, continuing to sin or living under deception and denying God’s power to heal and save through Jesus Christ through His grace, is hindering healing. This is not works its the basis of being humble toward God and having humility.

    • Read the first Chapter of Revelation….God indeed deals with believers. He is speaking warnings to the churches….

    • There is a difference in the penalty of sins and sin nature. Confession is a daily walk. But we serve a faithful God who will forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We do not have to continue in sin where grace may not be abound. This nature must die daily.

    • Amen !! Thank you for writing that! As I was reading I felt like I will never be healed bc I can’t keep the law . Jesus said no one can so He came to abolish the law and we are now under grace. I felt like I had to do so many things for him to even hear me. My heart was in my stomach and stupidity I was willing to do whatever He commands for Him to hear my prayers. This is why I’m so Leary of the church.

  10. I have been unwell since 2013. I am diagnosed with peripheral nerve disorder and hypertension. I have really prayed and believe that God will heal me. Am not yet there. What can I do?

    • Keep praying, be obedient in your prayer life. It is in His will that your prayers will be answered.

    • Keep your faith and keep praying … Its done in the spirit realm …God heals the spirit as that spirit manifest itself of healing to the earthly temple (our body) . Your level of faith and belief heals, or delays…
Without faith its impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).
Anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exist.. and the He rewards those who earnestly seek Him..

  11. Hi. If I have accepted Christ, then I have been forgiven of all sins, past, present and future. Then all those old testament scriptures about sin and it affecting our lives and prayer lives etc are null and void. Or am I missing something?
I am asking a serious question here.
Doesn’t accepting Jesus kind of negate those OT scriptures. Aren’t we already cleansed and made white as snow in God’s eyes. When God looks at us He sees Jesus. So then our sins can’t hold back our prayer life as we are seen as sinless, saved and set free from all effects of sin through the Jesus Christ.

    • We have been forgiven this is the truth, but if we resist the work of God in our life and if you harbor unforgiveness. You limit what God wants to do for you. You are not seeing any change in your life. The question would be, did you surrender your life fully to the Lord. We still deal with the residual of what we were like before the Christ. Those things God will help us to change. Key allowing the sanctifying power of God to rule in reign in our life, changing us into his image. It is a process of seeking to enter into his place of rest. If we are blatantly sinning, there are areas a person has not yet surrendered.

    • In Matthew 6:15 Jesus was giving the sermon on the mount to his twelve diciples and he said “But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” That was his own diciples he wastalking to. If God won’t give you FORGIVENESS for not forgiving others, then why in the world would He give you healing? Jesus died to set us free from sin not so we could continue in it and still be forgiven. Hebrew 10:26 “For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.” You really have to study the word of God and not listen to anyone, including preachers, or you’re going to miss out on SO much. 1 John 2:27 But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.

    • Just accepting Jesus Christ does not make you saved like most churches preach.
You must be baptized in Jesus name and receive the Holy Ghost which the sign of receiving is speaking in tongues.
      Read Acts 2:38

      • Read Eph.2:8,9. You can’t add anything to what Jesus has done. No righteous works can be done to save you like baptism, speaking in tongues, etc. St. Paul would have been speaking blasphemy when he said that Jesus didn’t send him to baptize but to preach the gospel etc. 1Cor. 1:17.

      • It doesn’t say anything about speaking in tongues in that verse. That is our own context added. They went on to teach and pray and thousands of souls added to the Kingdom they are and broke bread.

    • You are correct. However, it would apply to non believers who seek God through prayer when in trouble but have no interest in him other than that. Or, Christians that have an intellectual acceptance but are not really Christian for they do not have the spirit (the Sunday Christians, not daily walk Christians with a personal relationship with God). You can have an intellectual acceptance of the gospel but still not be cleansed and renewed(made righteous) through rejection of the old self and old ways, deciding to follow Christ in every aspect of their life. God hears the prayers of the righteous or the forgiven who walk with Jesus.

    • There’s Scripture to support your claim that ‘When you accepted Christ, He forgave all your of your sins – past, present, and future. No child of God continues in sin; so for a Christian to seek forgiveness for future sin is ungodly.

  12. I believe Jesus healed many sinful people because He often forgave their sins as they were being physically healed. When anyone came to Jesus for healing, He healed them almost instantly. So why does He now take so long to divinely heal, even Christians? He never asked anyone to get their heart (soul) right with God before He would consider healing them. How do you respond to these statements ?

    • God is able to miraculously heal anyone right now today!! God works in different ways I. Different situations. Just by praising the Lord many chains are broken. However the bible does talk about certain demons that van only come out by prayer and fasting. Bottom line is that being a Christian is a walk. This is a Good article that stresses the need to get right with God.

    • As we read the Bible we get the notion that Jesus healed everyone. Actually the Bible doesn’t say that, Jesus healed relatively few when you consider the thousands that pressed about Him on various occasions. The one theme throughout his healings is Faith, that is why He could forgive their sins. Sin and troubles go hand in hand.

The sin problem I see with most household is one most don’t even realize as sin.
Bringing in to the house divinations in the form of horoscopes. Many churchgoers read them, ‘just in fun’ but they arrive in most newspapers. Are they a hindrance to God’s healing?
Many people dabble in gambling and lotteries. They are obviously showing God where their trust and desires are.
Then there is video games such as Dungeons and Dragons, or movies such as Game of Thrones. What are you watching or playing? How about your teen-age kids? Are they bringing in this non-Christlike entertainment into the house?
Then there is the gossip. Afternoon TV anyone? Or the newsstand, doctors office?

We need be ever so vigilant while that roaring Lion the Devil wanders about seeking whom he may devour.

      • Sctripture is very clear that Jesus healed ALL who were sick, at least all who asked to be healed. I found this page because I have seen Jesus miraculously heal. I Have seen th dead raised. I have seen healing in my own life, but there are a few health issues it appears have been placed on me and God there is no instant manifestation. I do believe God’s Wors, so i know I am healed, what I don’t know is why I am not seeing it.

      • Actually the bible doesn’t give the impression Jesus healed multitudes…it actually says that over and over. Jesus healed all or many…all who were cast at his feet. It never once says he qualified them or did not heal anyone except in his hometown….that was all done under the old covenant…and we have a new and BETTER covenant made in the blood of Jesus which declares his broken body was the offering for our healing…paid in full. What are specific hindrance scriptures that are specufically tied to and mention the word healing?

    • God has not change during that time people were in presence of Lord Jesus Christ. today we really need to go in that presence to seek fullness of him. Jesus Christ healed everyone who came close to him but today we need to ask are we close to him to feel his healing??

    • It is because being healed is being saved in tge body and he cannot get rid of sin in the body while we are still clinging to it in the soul.

  13. John 9:1-3, stated clearly that not every sickness is a result of sin but that the works of God should be manifest in him. I believed that sin is a huge barrier from getting heal from God therefore, everyone should come clean before God because God is light.

  14. These articles are very helpful but false information on a couple parts. Even though i do believe the person who wrote this was of earnest heart. God came back and died for the sinners so why would he not hear their prayers? For all of us fall short of the glory of God. Praying in itself is a step away from sin and a step towards God and the lord is not willing that any should parish. You don’t get sin free to get God but you get God so you can get sin free.

  15. We have to be careful in stating that the main reason someone hasn’t been healed is due to hidden sin. This can cause people to be unsympathetic to those who are ill or diseased in the mindset that, “Well, they must have hidden sin or God would heal them.”
We must remember that even the apostle Paul had many ailments and he was spreading the gospel all over the world and God was pleased with him!
Also, the religion of Hinduism teaches that those who are ill or disabled must have done something to deserve it in their past life. This causes their culture to be very unkind to those that are disabled. So you see the fine line we have to watch out for here….

    • Well said. I get this all the time as I have had lung cancer 3 times now. “Well you must really be a sinner”. The pastor of a church once said about the same thing. I no longer attend that church. I was a founding member of that church. When I got sick and could no longer do my duties as financial secretary I was forgotten about. NO one came to visit or help.

      • why u put trust in man is it not written curse is the man who put trust in man.
put your trust in Jesus Christ.
believe me I have gone through worst with ppl and church. but I forgave them to recieve my forgiveness and also I came to Christ not because of ppl but because of his love towards me. My God never fails. bless you forever.

      • The scriptures in James 5:14-16 say that the sick person should call for the elders of the church to pray for them anointing them with oil in the name of the lord. The prayer of faith shall raise the sick one up.So u must do your part to call the elders of your church to pray for u not the other way round

      • That is horrible! When Jesus returns to the earth, he separates the sheep from the goats. One of the items he addresses the goats with is, ” when I was sick, you did not come and visit me” Jesus says, when you have done it to a person, you have done it with them. Just because someone attends a church, does not make them christian. A follower of Jesus would have never done that to you and I am sorry that they did.

  16. i strongly believe that God the Father expects a pure heart to answer our prayers.I too have a drawback in forgiving others. I ask in the name of Jesus to give a heart of forgiving others. And i ask again to give to the forgiving heart to my Mom to forgive my father’s people who actually betrayed her.I ask my God the Father to heal my dad who had underwent angioplasty last week but still he is suffering from a lung infection whick causes him breathlessness, and he is still hospitalized. i ask in the healing name of Jesus to heal him and to forgive him and to give a full life without any pain and to glorify the name of Jesus!

    • Amen Tina!

  18. The privilege to be heard in prayer is enjoyed only by those whom God has chosen to be His own.
