The 10 Commandments
of the Bible

I thought I would draw up this article for all of you in order to give you a complete list of the 10 commandments. Most Christians do not have all of them memorized.

I will give you the specific verse from Scripture where the 10 commandments are being given to us by the Lord, along with some of the additional statements that God makes under some of these commandments that you usually do not see on the little tablets of the 10 commandments at your local Christian bookstore.

Before I give you this verse, consider one thing. Even though the 10 Commandments are from the Old Testament, all of these commandments still apply to everyone in this day and age. No exceptions! I call each of these commands “stone commandments.”

The fact that God the Father would manifest 10 specific commandments on a tablet of stone tells me that He is very serious about these specific commandments!

This was one big huge event when it happened in the story of Moses. The fact that God would go this far in manifesting these special 10 commandments on a real live tablet of stone tells me that these commandments should never be taken lightly or for granted.

Most Christians have heard about these 10 commandments while going through grade school and high school and the story as to how they all came about. As a result, I feel that many Christians take these special ten commandments for granted and really do not realize the power and authority that is on these special commandments.

The 10 commandments come to us from Exodus 20:1-17. Here is the verse:

And God spoke all these words, saying: “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

  1. You shall have no other gods before me.

  2. You shall not make for yourself any carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

  3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.

  4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

  5. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.

  6. You shall not murder.

  7. You shall not commit adultery.

  8. You shall not steal.

  9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

  10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

The above 10 commandments need no explanation. They mean exactly what they are saying. It’s quite amazing how many of these commandments are being broken on a regular basis, even by Christians themselves. If you look very closely at each of these commandments, they really do cover a broad spectrum as to what God is expecting from each one of us.

These 10 commandments are good, basic, moral laws that will help keep us out of trouble with ourselves, family, friends, and neighbors. God knows what is best for all of us and He simply wants all of us to stay out of trouble in order that we may be able to live in peace and harmony with one another.

The fact that God would go so far as to have these basic 10 commandments manifested on a stone tablet really tells me they are very important, and that each Christian should know what they are and do their best to abide by them with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Feel free to pass this list of the 10 commandments onto your friends and family.

I missed something. I would like to point out that Jesus conversed with the long dead Elijah and Moses in Matthew 17:1-8. Jesus didn’t sin, as we all know.

  2. Atheist says:

I was always told that God was oving but in the second commandment I learn he is jealous. That should make everyone love him (her?). Also, rape is not mentioned so it must be OK, correct? Child abuse…, well we know that must be OK because so many clergy and priests practice it! Why is it more important that we humans do not take God’s name in vain?

  3. Chris says:

    The 10Th commandment is great…

“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

It’s starts off with house over wife…fine I guess, then lists manservant, maidservant, ox, donkey, then just stops with summing up anything that is your neighbors.

Why did it specifically list ox and donkey? I mean what made the ox and donkey so important that they had to be listed and not summed up in the “anything that is your neighbors” part? Wouldn’t it have been easier (and saner) to just say do not covet your neighbor’s positions? No Ox and Donkey must be listed…it was a requirement…

  4. george says:

Hey Atheist, the ignorance you speak with is amusing if it weren’t so sad! If you do any history study/ not religious study! You will realize the nations of the world who followed these rules are the most advanced in technology and the least cruel to its citizens! Do they screw up and still break these rules once and a while? Sure! But by percentage alone the citizens of these countrys who folleow these rules and added them to the law of the land are far better off than those countrys who do not! Why dont you move to a country where these rules by % are not followed! Maybe once your wife is raped because she did something wrong you will start to respect these rules! If it werent for the judao/christian beliefs / you would not be as free as you are to act stupid like you do/ you would have your tongue cut out/ hey you know what? maybe that would be better! Lol!

  5. D.BEN says:

one thing i know is that,if we disobey a nation law we will be punished then how much more the law of GOD to every soul.we must obey or else we will be sent into the lake of fire for life.

  6. Unknown says:

Hey athiest. Before you trash a religion, know a thing or two first. That way you dont sound like a complete idiot. Youre probably just some kid with a tad too much time on his hamds and a bit too big for your britches than you ought to be. If youre over the age of 21, then shame on you! Perhaps in your own post, you were attempting to justify your own sins?
The only thing im curious about is why you took the time to read all of them in the first place? Since you have, i hope what youve read hs been rooted in you and makes you a better person. Its better for all of us that way.

  7. The Don says:

‘You shall not make for yourself any carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them’
So why is jesus always painted white ?
Why is he painted at all , we dont know what he looks like

  8. Joan says:

Wow. Judge not lest you be judged. When we attack others verbally, we’re not replying with Christian love toward others. I’ve been trying to work on this in my own life through the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit: Peace, Joy, Love, Gentleness, Goodness, Kindness, Self-Contol, Faithfulness, Patience. Not easy, but through the Holy Spirit, possible.

  9. Zoey And Jack says:

Hey do what if we follow most of them? Would God forgive is like t
He does or if we don’t follow all ten will we not go to Heaven but otherwise to hell?

  10. Joan says:

Romans 3:28 helps answer your question. Man is justified, that is “declared righteous” (see verse 20) apart from doing what the law requires. Thus salvation is through faith alone (4:23-25). No matter what we do, we cannot earn our salvation. God alone saves, and His salvation is a free gift.

Believers who do good works and follow Gods commandments will be rewarded in heaven for them.
Unbelievers are judged for their sins but those saved through Gods grace will be rewarded according to their works. They will not be judged for their sins because Jesus already paid the ultimate price for them.

I always thought the Bible would be boring to read but started reading it every day and I am so happy that I did. God doesn’t leave us to flounder – all the answers you need are in it.

  11. olenor april says:

well… if i will not obey the 10 commandments does it means that i commit a sin?

  12. Tosha says:

to the atheist…I will not bash you even though I would like to but the lord says not to so I will just put it this way. If you follow the #10 the last of the commandments, then you will not rape. learn what is meant to covet your neighbor and learn who your neighbors are. and be careful what you speak out of your mouth because you might just be punished with your own words, and they are pretty foul. As far as the priests and clergy, maybe you should do a little research on the Catholic religion ( not knocking Catholics, there are some good ones) but just as in every religion you have wolves in sheep’s clothing acting as the servants of satan. you too my friend by your comment were acting as the servant of satan. I will pray that you are given a little wisdom and I hope from there you will pray for your own forgiveness salvation and are able love the Lord with all your heart. The time is at hand.

  13. I agree with Joan and Tosha

  14. mike says:

im in a extreamly difficult situation and im looking for legit help. and am hopeing that who ever can help teach me what the lord would want me to do i will thankyou from the bottom of my heart it is the very reason why it eats at me cause i just got back into the lords word and teaching but rember my situation im about to say, ive never seen before in the bible and i will admit its pure filth and i can never forgive myself for what ive done. again im asking for help from educated people who know what the lord would want, here it is. Im currently 18years old born 1993 my girlfriend whom im still dating was born 1996. she will be 16 this year in march i will be 19 this year in july. i am a born again christian as of last night. my girlfriend is not. we had a child who was born sept 19th 2010, so im thinking she got pregant as of the 1st month we dated, we wanted to have sex and i will not blame her for doing what we did it was of sin and im hurt by what really went down. i loved her with all my heart i did the worst thing ever i got her pregnant with the intent to have her by my side forever. our child was put up for adoption, we love him with all our heart and get to see him on holidays. but what i did to her was evil she shouldnt have went through all that pain and suffering because of my need to sin. im broken hearted just writing this. and im at a point where im willing to leave her for the lord but wouldnt that mean i screwed up any attempts to have her look for God and become a believer. she did not deserve what i put her through and it kills me to think that i ruined her life and understanding of God. she comes from a family of non believers but she says she loves me and would want to marry me one day despite my religious belief. but the bible isnt clear about my situation. please ilove her and God i just dont know where i stand from the bibles point of view. please find it in your heart also to never repeat what ive done so that what i feel doesnt eat away at you. sin is cruel and i pray for for all who will help me in my time of need. thank you please also add my email snowleopard_82@hotmail.com if your a true follower i would hope a fellow brother or sister would help me to there full knowledge of scripture. God Bless :) i know i shouldnt be demanding but i was hopeing that i could have a desion made by today but im willing to listen to everyones oppion on this subject. again thank you.

  15. Joan says:

It would be great if you could find someone to sit down with and talk. One paragraph on a website is a hard way to help someone. Is there a church in your area where the Bible is considered to be Gods word and totally true? If so, don’t be afraid to approach the pastor and ask for counseling. Finding the answers you seek might take some time. Please give yourself that time. Love in Christ, Joan

  16. nathan says:

rape is a violence does the lord said that is is okay he is jelous bacause the people of israel did not want him they want the golden calf he is angry but he forgive all who sin against him because he promise that he will give the promise land to the canaanites or israelites

  17. nathan says:

the Lord jesus christ is not merciful to the people who did not repent so start to repent because you didn’t know when will you die

  18. nathan says:

the Lord jesus christ is not merciful to the people who did not repent so start to repent because you didn’t know when will you die………….

  19. Tosha says:

    Hello Mike,

I just read your comment. I am happy to hear that you are a new Christian, that is wonderful, also I am so sorry to hear about your situation, and yes you are correct in the fact that sin does lead to hardship and trouble. I don’t want to advise you hastily so I will pray about your situation before I give you any advise on the matter, but I will say this, Christ did come here for sinners, he ate with sinners, he gave his teachings to the world because it is in all mans (human) nature to sin. I wouldn’t completely write a person out of my life because they sin but I would try and show them the way. Now with you being a new Christian if it will cause you to fall because of your girlfriends sins, I mean if she causes you to want to behave in a way that the Lord would not like then I would definitely say to keep yourself guarded and don’t put yourself in situations that will lead you to fall. In the mean time be strong and pray for guidance in your situation. God has many ways of showing you the answers. As for marrying this woman, I would not make a hasty decision either way. I would search out this girls heart, find out will she live for the Lord with you, if she will then by all means you would have a blessed marriage regardless of past sin,

(but do repent) and if this girl will not live for the Lord with you then you would probably have a hard life filled with trouble because God does chastise those who he loves to try and bring them to the correct way of life. I have experienced this first hand, I am a true hearted Christian but I was previously married to a person who had a sinful lifestyle, I mean just blatent, did not care what the Lord said and didn’t even care about trying to live the way we should live. Time after time I suffered because of his punishments and eventually I just had to say its time for me to move on. Its almost like if you lived with Satan, and God decides to blow up the room your in to punish Satan then its kind of inevitable that you will suffer the explosion as well because your in the same room (that was an analogy, don’t take take that literal) but I hope you get what I’m saying to you. If you can turn this girls heart (and you should try) if she accepts that is wonderful. but if in time you find she wont accept then Christ does not expect us to be punished for those who do not love him. I will pray for your situation, also I will pray for God to give you an answer to what you have asked and I will pray for the wisdom for myself to be able to help you further in this.

    God Bless
    Tosha

  21. ANABELLA says:

I AV DONE QUITE A NUMBER OF TINS IN MY LIFE AND I WANT TO START A NEW LIFE I AV SAID THE SALVATION SEVERAL BUT DEEP DOWN ITS NOT CONNECTIN LIKE I WLD WANT IT AND I GET AFRAID CONSTANTLY THAT IF I DIE AM NOT SURE OF MAKING HEAVEN SO I TRY TO PRAY EVERY DAY AND READ THE BIBLE AND CHRISTAINS BOOKS WHAT DO I DO TO ENSURE I AM ON TRACK

  22. If love your brothers and love god, you are living gods commandments. Smile life is too short to wonder what to do when you have all the answers in the bible. God bless you all.

  23. Jacob says:

I am 14 years old and I am Presbyterian. I have read all of the comments and I think that it is really neat of how George, Unknown, Nathan, and Tosha really stood up against the atheist comment on the top. I really hope that he receives God in his life and that he wont trash up a religion like Unknown said. To the atheist; God loves you and you should become a Christian just like Mike did.

  24. Jamal says:

    peace be upon you all!
25 percent of american adults are gay (sodomites)… did you know that by not following the first and second commandment, God promises that this would happen to you in the Bible, check it up: Romans 1 chptr 1 verse 22-32.

20 percent of the american people commit incest go look it up. and if you eat junkie food your body becomes junkie same for youre mind. and if you read this book and think of it as supreme life guidance then you will be compelled to do these horrible sins.!! soo think carefully and don’t be prejudice but observe al the evidences, and research the true faith.
in the bible i will give you reference to it right now! check it up!!: genesis 19 verse 30-38… genesis 20 verse 12…genesis chapter 33 verse 22….genesis chapter 38 verse 11-18….2 Samuels chapter 13 verse 5-15….2 Samuels chapter 16 verse 21-23…. look don’t be offended it is not my intention it is merely to inform you..

and the law about adultery in the Bible is: the adulterer and the adulteress shall be stoned to death!! it’s pretty serieus!

and about the original sin the Bible explains in ezekiel chapter 18 verse 20-22.. talks about salvation. that sin is not inherited from Adam and Eve.
thank you for reading I hope you will come to understand that people have changed the Word so they can profit from it a small reward.

And final reference is about a prophecy in the old and in the new testament about the final messenger that God will send to do his work : deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 18 and peter again in the new testament acts chapter 3 verse 22-23..

peace be upon you good people

  25. Sethy says:

I am by no means an atheist, but I cannot help wonder about the 2nd commandment, where GOD says that he is a jealous god. Isn’t jealousy a sin?

  26. Jamal says:

    peace to you jacqueline

you have indeed put a lot of work in your faith, I understand you are a very knowledgeable person. there fore you will agree with me that he that is sent is not greater than the one that sent him. because I don’t think that Jesus was fooling the people by saying

John chapter 4 vers 24: God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

further on John chapter 4 vers 34: Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Then in John chapter 5 vers 19: Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do.

then on same chapter 5 vers 30: I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgement is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father wich hath sent me.

then on same John chapter 5 vers 37 it says: And the Father himself, wich hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. (means that Jesus is not God incarnate come in the flesh)

I am trying to say is don’t worship the created instead of the creator.

and I challenge you to say to me that God can create another God, God is uncreated that He can create another uncreated from beginning that has no beginning. When God creates someone/thing it is created and can’t be justified with God it is simple logic.

I am not limiting God, and another thing God can’t do is throw me out of his kingdom because everything is his kingdom.

And another thing you say he called himself son of God well that’s the language of the jews in the old testament psalm 82 vers 6 God say’s :Ye are Gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
so it is the language of the jew if you follow the plan and will of God you are a godley person (a good man).

    thank you for reading.

    peace be upon you all.

  27. Kim says:

I feel if we live by the10 commandments we will live life well. None of us ate without sin. But it is our place to recognize our sins and ask for forgiveness. Jesus us given us a second, third, fourth,…..chance by giving his life for ours.
Jesus was not born neither white or black. Why do people don’t understand this? There is a reason for this. Unite believers of all races. Love one another as you love yourself. What you want for your self, also want these things for your neighbors. One man has preached these things in my lifetime to better this Country. His name was Martin Luther King, Jr. He was not without sin as is no man, but he spoke for all men. Christ is Living! Give him a chance. Follow good examples. Joel Osteen try’s to bring enjoyment to us through the scriptures. Does he make money. Certainly does, but to reach out to so many takes effort and this world effort comes with cost. Let’s be kind to one another. Simple acts of kindness can spread a lot of joy. God Bless You!

  28. James Reeves says:

In light of all this body of evidence along with Saint Paul’s apostolic writings a conclusion should unify all Christian thought in the fact that Jesus shed His Jewish blood for the Jew first.
Jesus taught, healed, and performed miracles for Jews, in order to covenant Jews into a new relationship with Himself as the second Adam thus beginning the restoration period of all things Jewish into a Christ centered Kingdom of God as it conquers the whole world through faith in Jesus.
Jesus as the greater Moses gave a higher requirement than the Ten Commandments “1. Love God 2. Love Your Neighbor AS Yourself” Jesus also requires Jews and Gentiles to believe that He is the “Bread Of Life.”

  29. Human says:

To the Athiest at the top i think you have a great point definetly i think your right….But I also believe that there is a creator of some sort wheather it be A god or aliens that tampered with our DNA to make us in there likeness. Look at it this way there is good and bad, yin and yang. I don’t think god should be this mysitical being that is worshiped it should be inside of you and knowing right and wrong, good from bad. Humanity is so fucked up and caged and tought the wrong things. THere are boundires that are set for humanity because people have all the weapons and are controlling the human race holding it hostige. We are so intelligent is almost uncomprehendibale they stop us from exceeding. Technology has advanced tremendiously, and i have one question? WHy haven’t people advanced as fast as technology has? ITS CLEAR TO ME THERE IS DEVIL WORSHIPERS CONTROLLlING EVERYTHING AND THEY WANT HELL ON EARTH!

  30. Joshua Ologani says:

i know that when someone speaks so harshly of our religion/spirituality, we get that impulse to be so defensive and we just want to retaliate and speak harshly in return. I found this to be true even for myself at times. but we must be Christ-like when dealing with these kinds of things.

Jesus gave us a NEW COMMANDMENT: and that is to love one another just as He loved us.. i know first hand the need to defend our faith but let’s not get caught up with our spirituality.. Jesus came for people like Atheist.. we need to represent Christ as best as we can so can minister to those who are lost.. being harsh and judgmental in return will only make us into MODERN-DAY PHARISEES (to whom Jesus was not very well pleased at all….)

the ten commandments is not suppose to make anyone righteous… it is not suppose to save us from our sins… IF anything, it seems somewhat of a curse since no man, and I MEAN NO MAN, can abide by these rules except Jesus… it says in Galatians 3:13 that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law.. THE 10 commandments shows us that we all need a savior: and that savior is Jesus…

it even said in 1 Corinthians 15:16 that the sting of death is sin and the power of sin is the law…

Don’t get me wrong… everything that comes from God is good… The Law in it of itself is good… IT IS VERY GOOD… but the fact that man is so flawed and so filthy and unrighteous pretty much shows us that none of us is good enough to even uphold the law… SURE, we might be able to keep 8 of the 10 commandments, but if you break even one of the commandment, you might as well have broken all of them…
Jesus said, come to me who are heavy burdened and I WILL GIVE YOU REST… COME TO ME FOR MY YOKE IS EASY and MY BURDEN IS LIGHT!!!

*** please be like the Bereans and don’t take my word at face value.. do your own research in the bible first before you believe anything i say… ***

thank you and blessings to all of you…

  31. Greg says:

Ditto Joshua Ologani, very well put and the truth. It is easy to be defensive in anything one believes to be truth or what one thinks is the truth. Joshua, you have explained the reason for the 10 commandments spot on. For all those who still question Heaven, Hell, Jesus, etc.., I have a verse that may help. Most everyone has heard or read John 3:16. Please, study it for yourself, really study it closely. This is how I understand John 3:16, For God (big G, one and only) so loved the world (everyone, no exclusions) that he gave his only begotten Son (big S, one and only Jesus Christ son of God), That whosoever (sinner, adulterer, homosexual, heterosexual, red, yellow, black , white, anyone) believeth in him (more to it than just knowing, believing everything the Holy Bible says about Jesus Christ and accepting it, including repenting of sin, yes daily, for me anyway), should not perish (eternity in Hell, read about Hell in the Bible to know how bad it will be) but have everlasing life (Spending forever and ever and ever etc… in Heaven when our life here on earth is over. The decision is up to you. You can chose to ignore even this verse and what it means, you can twist the Word of God to fit your approval or you can discredit it all. Your choice, you and you alone. My hope is that at least one person will read this that is not a child of God through accepting Jesus Christ, and come to know Him as their Savior. It is simple enough that a child can understand it.
Want answers to all your questions, I would suggest attending a true Gospel believing, 100% Holy Bible teaching, Salvation through Jesus Christ only church and begin the journey of your life. No it’s not a bed of roses, but if you truely, truely accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, your hope will be in the eternity after this life on earth. You have the information, it is up to you to choose what you will do. Yes, you make the choice and I hope it is Christ.

  32. mike says:

    hello all,
this is a subject of much interst to for in recent years i have spent a great deal of my time finding the root of truth and lore. [my hobby]
as we have just read, god is jealous, well in my beleif jealousie is the child of envy and greed.so my next point would be to the anceint jews whom were told it is against gods law to eat pork , well the truth to this is the pig of that time had triganoses which the common was unable to understand it would kill him.So for the protaction of the people it was put to terms they could understand.the ten comandment are more as guide lines of a moral compass.Moses was a sorcer which acording to many books i’ve read
was learned from the teaching of enoch.Whom was taught be angles to use herbs and magic,as with all thing mans lust for power and wealth lead to the perversion of these teaching.no were in gods command mets does it say we can not pay homage to other gods and dienty as long as we hold him above them.Next worship no man nor symplom above thi god, well jesus was a man.
knelling before a cross, christen crusades,A freind said to me through religon you’ll find hell , through jesus you’ll find heaven. To this i’ll
say let us hope god understand man ignorance,God is a being that created us and the world with a thought, maybe thats why we are only able to use 10% of
or brains.Man puts human chareristics to a being that is beond or understanding or comprhention.AS i said i read alot of anceint tects
some would say it is whichcraft or the devils word,to this i will say there are many forces in this world that are beond my comprehension ,i just am
tring to find a truth and were the truth lives is in anceint tech that
has not been changed and reworded to the services of men whom desire to control others.

Destroying entire cities and people, giving them plagues and promoting genocide, rape, murder, the slaughtering of babies and yet this contradicts these very commandments..

Just saying, Though I do understand.. Is has promoted great thing like art.. Except it also has diveded to many families and civilizations. I am not telling you to change your beliefs but there are reasons why people do not believe the same thing. //ATHEIST PRIDE

To Mike: According to your comments, you are searching. All the books and information that discredit the Bible, God’s Word, have derived from opinions.
A true in depth study of the original manuscripts of what is referred to as the Holy Bible were inspired by God himself. It would take years and more pages than one would care to read on this forum to explain every detail of every question that could be asked about the Holy Bible. Keep studying and please make the Bible itself a major part of your study. God will provide answers to those who seek Him.

To Srsly: Like most every historical document, not every minute of every hour of every day is included. If it were, I would only imagine it would take several dump trucks to carry that information in written form. As far as bedtime story, as I wrote before, YOU will make the choice. That is another wonderful thing about true Christianity. No one is going to force you to believe or not believe, It is a free will choice. I would give you my thoughts on how an entire population could be formed from 1 man and 1 woman, but you know that already. It is taught in science. Keeping in mind there are no limits to what God can do. Keep reading the Holy Bible at bedtime or anytime and with more understanding you may be drawn to the Lord God.

To Tyler Garrett: #1 Baptism is not Salvation, It is however an outward sign of an inward change we call Salvation. I could be dunked, sprinkled, and splashed over and over. All it would do is make me physically clean. Once a person realizes they are a sinner and truly believes in Jesus Christ as the son of God, and that Jesus died on a cross for the perfect sacrifice for our sin, and that He rose again on the third day, and by asking Jesus to forgive us and to live with us through his Holy Spirit, that person is saved. They become a child of God. It needs to be sincere. We will always fall short, even the greatest preacher you have ever heard of will fall short. We can do nothing to earn Salvation, It is a free gift. I will say it again and again, The choice is yours. Something to remember is that Satan wants everyone to have doubts. That’s what helps keep Gods Word from being spread. Please find you a Good church that Baptises as an outward expression of what your decision to accept Christ as your Savior.

To Immy: Many people share the same questions as you, Why does God kill or destroy? but first let me say I don’t believe you are an athiest. If you believe there is a God, good or bad, nice or mean, pretty or ugly, then you are not an atheist. Atheist’s don’t believe in anything at all. That is a good thing because it means you are thinking about it. Noe to address the killing thing. God is a loving God, because we have freedom of choice, we choose to sin. It is sin that causes all the above things you mention. If you really study God’s Word, you will find that man is responsable for all things that are what we consider bad. God says if your people turn from their wicked ways that he will heal their land. Satan will do his best to push humanity away from God. This has been going on since Adam and Eve. The first murder was committed by Cain killing his brother Able. Guess what, Cain got upset with his brother and CHOSE to kill him. God had nothing to do with it. As population grew, so didn’t the reasons for killing. God however has given the power for battle to be won. This involves people being killed, but if all mankind had followed God instead of falling for the lies of Satan and his army of demons (which both chose to leave God) Again it is about choice. Keep digging and search scriptures, if you are looking for the truth, you will find it in Gods Holy Word.

Now that everyone is probably tiered of me and trust me, there are way too many questions to keep answering, I want to beg you to start attending a true Gospel believing, 100% Holy Bible teaching, Salvation through Jesus Christ only church. There are a lot of wolves in sheeps clothing so be careful. Just remember, If you wanted to know the truth about how to climb a mountain, you go to the mountain and see what it’s all about. If you want to know about true Christianity, go to a church as I have described. Nobody said you had to join, just check it out and see for yourself. Take a Bible with you and be sure what the preacher is preaching is what is in your Holy Bible, yes different edditions may have a little different wording but for the most part you should hear the same message.
    Everyone take care, GK

    How to Go to Heaven
According to the Word of God
It is very simple to be saved and takes only a minute to explain. Please let me show you how to get to Heaven from the Bible, God’s Word…
    Man is a sinner.
Isaiah 53:6, “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
John 3:3, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Romans 3:10, “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one.”
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
There is a price on our sin―eternal death in Hell.
Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 5:12, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”
2nd Thessalonians 1:8, “In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Revelation 20:15, “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
Revelation 21:8, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
Jesus paid that price by dying on the cross and shedding His blood; Christ was buried and rose again!
Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
1st Timothy 1:15, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.”
1st Peter 1:18-19, “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ…”
1st Corinthians 15:1-4, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
By faith in Jesus Christ ALONE we can be saved.
Salvation is NOT found in a religion or good works, but in a Person… The LORD JESUS CHRIST!
John 11:25, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”
John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
John 6:40, “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
Mark 1:15, “And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
Acts 26:18, “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”
Romans 10:13, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
1st Corinthians 3:11, “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
Galatians 3:26, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”

HERE IS HOW YOU CALL UPON THE LORD
Do you admit that you are a GUILTY sinner, under the condemnation of God’s LAW, deserving of Hellfire?
Do you believe that Jesus is the Son of God (God in the flesh) who died upon the cross, sacrificing His precious blood to pay for your sins? Do you believe that Jesus was buried and rose again three days later?
That is the good news of the gospel… Jesus DIED, He was BURIED and He is RISEN!
If you’d like to be saved, simply come in your heart as a guilty sinner and BELIEVE upon the Lord Jesus Christ.
Perhaps you’d feel comfortable praying a sinner’s prayer as did the publican in Luke 18:13… “And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto Heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.”
    Dear Jesus,
I admit that I am a sinner deserving of Hell. I believe that you died, were buried and rose again. Please forgive me of my sins and take me to Heaven when I die. I now believe upon You alone, apart from all self-righteous works and religion, as my personal Savior. Thank you. Amen.
Just as you were born physically to your parents, so you were born spiritually into the Family of God when you received Jesus! Please understand that we are not saved because we pray a prayer; but because we believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ. It is certainly appropriate to ask the Lord in prayer to forgive and save us; but it is our faith which prompts us to pray. You could just as easily believe in your heart upon the Lord to be saved, and not pray at all. Salvation is of the heart, as we read in Romans 10:10, “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness…”
It’s not what you’re doing that gets you to Heaven, it’s where you’re looking. Look to Jesus!
You do NOT have to be water baptized nor doing anything to get to Heaven other than trust upon the Lord as your Savior. Romans 4:5 proclaims… “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him (Jesus) that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” What a wonderful truth! Our faith is COUNTED for righteousness! There is NO self-righteousness involved in salvation. It is the gift of God. You see, we have no righteousness of our own to offer God. No amount of good can undo the bad we’ve done. Thus, Jesus paid a debt that He did not owe, because we owed a debt that we could not pay. Salvation is receiving, not giving. We are Sinners and Jesus is the Savior. Jesus is precious!
Unbelief is the only sin which can keep you out of Heaven.
Just take God at His word and claim His salvation by faith. Believe, and you will be saved. No church, no lodge, no good works can save you. Remember, God does the saving. All of it!
Trusting Jesus is meaningless without the cross. You must believe that Jesus died, was buried and rose again. 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 teaches that the gospel is the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
God’s simple plan of salvation is: You are a sinner. Therefore, unless you believe on Jesus Who died in your place, you will spend eternity in Hell. If you believe on Him as your crucified, buried, and risen Savior, you receive forgiveness for all of your sins and His gift of eternal salvation by faith.
You say, “Surely, it cannot be that simple!” Yes, that simple. It is scriptural; it is God’s plan. My friend, believe on Jesus and receive Him as Savior today.
If you’ve never been saved, then now is the time to believe upon the name of Jesus, the Christ, that your sins will be blotted out forever and you can know that your name is written in Heaven.
Christ died for your sins. You are a sinner by nature and by choice. Jesus took your sins and charged them to His own record. He went to the cross and paid the penalty for your sins. He says if you’re willing to receive Him in faith; He will transfer His payment to your debt, and His righteousness to your sins. He will impute to you His goodness, and impute to His own record your sin; if you in faith will trust Him as your Savior.
Romans 8:34, “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”

  38. Jen says:

    @ George-
Christians stole from Paganism, yet they murdered Pagans and people of other religions based on a book. This is a part of the bibles history, and in it I find many issues. The funniest being:
    10 Commandments-
you shall not murder….yet it says you shall not permit a sorceress to live?
Witches were stoned to death by Christians and Catholics, is that not murder? For the record I am of no religion, I am simply me living each day with love, compassion, and the will to learn. Nor am I an Atheist. It seems to me if I were to worship someone or something, it would have to be perfect, NOT jealous! Also, The reason this world is so Hi-tech and advanced is because of science and engineering. Not because of the bible or it’s followers. Albert Einstein was not religious and yet his advances have already helped you in this life time. You should thank him! Your religion has slaughtered, started Wars, and has divided even yourself from each other. It has stolen from other religions only to back stab those it has tried to coven. Not sure if I could be apart of that. Not sure how religious people could force something on to others, when in fact it is not their job to judge. Trying to tech what you feel is right, ok. Love thy neighbor right? Well when you attack others for their views, that my friend is going against your own religion. I think that you yourself, needs an education on the history of the Bible and memorize what is in it before you speak. If you claim your unwavering devotion to something and have the nerve to preach it, you should follow all that makes it… otherwise it’s quit embarrassing to get called out with your foot in mouth.

  39. AC says:

    Jen,

This is what I agree with…By Faith

Where is the God of Judgment?

“Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we
wearied him? When ye say…Where is the God of judgment?” -Malachi
    2:17

It is very easy for people, even Christians, to get upset with God
because of the injustices in the world. We listen to the news
day-by-day and hear of so many horrible things happening in the world,
it’s so sad. One of the most popular questions that people ask me is,
“Why does God allow so much suffering in the world?” The Biblical
answer is that sin causes all the misery in the world. However, such a
simple answer raises many more questions. Such as, If God is
Omnipotent, then how could He sit back and allow all this evil to
happen? Does not the Bible condemn us if we don’t help a brother in
need? Yes, it does (1st John 3:17).

So then why doesn’t God help people when He sees them in need? Why
the double-standard? Why didn’t God stop wicked Herod from murdering
thousands of children in an attempt to kill Jesus? Why didn’t God stop
Pol-pot, Hitler, and Stalin? How could a God, who says He loves
mankind, sit back and watch little children be raped, tortured, and
killed? In EVERY war, unspeakable atrocities occur in staggering
numbers. I saw a young African girl on TV who had survived the Rwandan
killings. She had been gang raped and had her head spilt open like a
watermelon with a machete. Tragically, she survived. Where is the God
    of judgment? Where is justice?

I have just shared with you the reasoning of hundreds-of-millions of
people. So many people get angry at God, even denying Jesus Christ,
because of the woes of the world. The prophet Malachi under the
inspiration of God’s Holy Spirit said that God is wearied when we ask
the question…”Where is the God of Judgment?” I can relate to these
feelings myself at times. I have often asked God why He allows the
blatant wickedness in Washington D.C. to continue. Then I realize that
it’s because America’s citizens are apathetic and complacent
    concerning sin.

In fact, Americans sit night after night watching godless Late Night
Shows like Conan and Jay Leno. These shows glorify sin, corruption,
and everything that is unholy or immoral. God and His Word have been
kicked out of the public school system, yet people get angry when I
speak the truth by saying that public schools are godless. It is no
wonder that Americans murder their children through abortion, accept
homosexuality, indulge in pornography, accept witchcraft (Harry
Potter), listen to Satan-inspired rock music, and curse in God’s name.
When you remove God, all that remains is the Devil.

I used to get upset with God and ask Him why He doesn’t do something
about the miseries in the world. Even though I realized that sin was
behind most of the suffering, I became impatient watching it continue
to happen, feeling helpless. Over time, I came to realize several
truths which the Holy Spirit needed to teach me. The Holy Spirit asked
me, “Do you really think God doesn’t care?” I knew that God cared (1st
Peter 5:7). The Holy Spirit reminded me that horrible things happened
back in the Bible too. Jacob loved Rachel dearly but she died while
giving birth to Benjamin. I’m sure Jacob asked God, “Why?” Suffering
is nothing new. The simple truth is that we are living in a fallen
world (1st John 5:19). Look at all the Israelites that Pharaoh
murdered to thin the herd. God allowed that atrocity to happen, yet He
spared Moses. We don’t know why God does what He does, but we must
trust Him. Here are a few truths I learned:

    1. Either we trust God or we don’t. It’s as simple as that folks. God
told us in Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are
higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my
thoughts than your thoughts.” Someone once said that if God were small
enough for me to understand, then he wouldn’t be big enough to handle
my problems. There is no way that our finite, frail, and corrupt
fleshly bodies made of dust will ever understand an Infinite,
Omnipotent, Holy, and Divine God until God explains it to us in
Heaven. I am going to trust God no matter what, just as Job said in
Job 13:15, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will
maintain mine own ways before him.”

    2. God knows what He is doing. God could stop the suffering instantly
if He wanted, we must trust God’s wisdom. We read in 2nd Peter 3:9
that God is “longsuffering.” Which means that God is incredibly
patient with mankind. If God were to intercede and stop men from
committing evil, then it would defeat the entire purpose for which God
created mankind. Revelation 4:11 declares that mankind was created to
“please” God. If we don’t please God, then it is only because we don’t
want to. Hebrews 11:6 says that we cannot please God without faith.

God formed man from the dirt of the earth and breathed life into his
undeserving body. Man became a living soul. God gave man a conscience
and the Written Word of God to guide him in all matters of morality,
justice, and faith. Sadly, most people spit on God’s plan of
redemption. Ironically, most of those wicked people are religious
people (Catholics, Muslims, Buddhists, Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses,
Lutherans, Orthodox…all FALSE religions). It truly is man’s
wickedness that brings so much misery upon this world. We should not
blame God or get upset with God for doing what He chooses to do as the
Supreme Creator of the Universe. God knows what He’s doing, after
all…He did speak the universe into existence.

    3. The wicked will pay. Psalm 7:11 declares that God is angry with the
wicked every day. John 3:36 reads, “He that believeth on the Son hath
everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see
life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” Galatians 6:7 promises us
that a man will reap what he sows in life. Revelation 20:11-15
describes the great white throne judgment when the wicked will be
judged according to their works and then cast into the lake of fire
forever with Satan. Romans 12:19 promises that God will repay
(“punish” in Greek) all evildoers. No one is going to get away with
anything or else God would be a liar. Yet, it is difficult for us to
hear of these great atrocities when there is so little we can do to
    help them.

Much of the suffering in poorer nations is the result of gangster
government. I remember after the deadly Tsunami that killed at least
216,000 people that some countries refused to allow any direct aid to
it’s people. All the money, food, and funds had to go through the
government thugs who just wanted to steal everything. So much of the
aid from the United Nations is stolen while the poor continue to
starve to death. Believe me, Hell WILL be hot enough for these types
of tyrants, God will make sure of it. God is not willing for anyone to
perish (2nd Peter 3:9), but he will punish the wicked with flaming
    vengeance (2nd Thessalonians 1:8).

    4. The world needs Jesus. When Adam sinned, he died spiritually.
Please note that spiritual death is not the same thing as the “second
death.” The “second death” mentioned in Revelation 20:15 is when a
person is cast into Hell fire. “Spiritual death” is what Adam brought
into the world when he sinned, and has passed upon all mankind (Romans
5:12). EVERYONE is born spiritually dead, without God. This is why
EVERY person must be “born again” by the Spirit of Christ. Yet, men
rebel against God and despise the Word of God. Instead, the world’s
leaders turn to Satanic Freemasonry and Devilish occult groups to
guide them, with Satan as their god. This is tragic, but foretold in
    the Scriptures (2nd Corinthians 4:4).

All we can do is preach the Gospel of Christ and try to wake people up
concerning the truth. Most people won’t listen, but a few will. Jesus
wasn’t just concerned about the group, He was concerned about that one
lost sheep, the individual. We must not allow the problems of the
world to cause us to slack off on soul winning. The world needs Jesus
today as much as it ever has, and the great commission to go
soulwinning is still in the Bible (Matthew 28:19,20. Let us proclaim
Christ crucified to the masses! Let us tell other about the blood of
Jesus that cleanses away our sins forever! Thank God!

    5. It hurts God deeply when we accuse Him of not caring or not being
just. This is really the main point of my article. I was studying the
Bible one day and noticed something in Malachi 2:17 that I had never
seen before…”Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say,
Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say…Where is the God of
judgment?” -Malachi 2:17. It really made me feel bad when I read those
words. I thought about all those times that I had questioned God,
asking Him why He puts up with so much evil and corruption. I never
thought that it wearied God when we ask those types of questions. Then
I thought about Ephesians 4:30, “And grieve not the holy Spirit of
God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Did you know
that we can “grieve” God? Ephesians 4:25-32 mentions several things
that grieve God. It greatly grieves God when we don’t trust Him.

I’ve always heard that faith is obeying the Bible, and it certainly
is, but faith is also what the Bible motivates us to do. Faith is what
causes us to do things for God. It is by faith that I am writing these
words unto you. It was by faith that Noah built the ark. It was by
faith that David went out to fight Goliath. It was by faith that Rahab
the harlot hid the spies. It grieves God when we question His justice.
It grieves God when we say that He must not care. God does things His
own way, and in His own time.

Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are
your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than
the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than
your thoughts.” I once saw a sign that read, “An emergency on your
part does not necessarily constitute an emergency on my part.” Many of
us expect God to act based upon what we think is important. But God’s
ways are above our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts.
What is important to God is that we trust Him unconditionally, no
matter what. Mr. Job set the example for us in Job 13:15 when he so
wisely said, “”Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him…”

  40. Jen says:

    AC-
Your answer and the way you wrote it is why I choose to study people, their beliefs, and the history that makes us… us. I have friends of all walks of life, beliefs, sexual orientation etc. So it’s very important to me to try and understand why the way people are. I do not judge or criticize those who I do not agree with because there are too many variables on what is right. My main question, is why would it be ok to kill a pagan, when Christianity was born from that religion? When it is said in the Bible thou shall not kill? In a way it tells me that it’s ok to shun or stone people because they simply view things differently. That’s cowardly to me, and reminds me of Hitler. He too murdered those who did not view his way. To set the record straight, there are many good thing that come of the bible and I am in no way knocking it. In learning what it holds, There are many things in it which disturb me. Would you kill a pagan? If not wouldn’t you be going against the bible? Also why would one religion have the right to have their words recognized in public school when there are many families with different views. Their beliefs in whats right are just as strong as yours. How could anyone take that right away? Would that not cause war? I had a man tell my 4 yr old son and I at our front door, that we would rot in hell for not becoming Christian. It broke my heart. My son is scarred from that experience. It seems modern day religion has lost sight of what it’s foundations truly were. I love people of all walks and respect the views of all so long as they do not cause physical or emotional pain. Even though I have had religious people speak to me and have been traumatized, I still wish to learn all I can about every religion. Another large question is how do you know that God exists? What happened in your life to find him? It’s hard to except something when your open to it, and it never comes. I wait to see if there will be a sign, nothing comes. My life is beautiful the way it is, even without the religious presence. I truly love my family without him, I truly love my friends, I made my son without him. Does that mean I’m lying to myself? Does that mean I will go to this so called hell? I would say that when I die, if I in fact go to hell, why would your god put me there? When he himself has not shown me his existence? Even though I am open to any possibility? That’s horrible! It saddens my heart to know that millions of people have died because of religion, and I want to know why that happened- is still happening. Can we not as humans let our gods judge instead of killing each other for not sharing views? I have met very few truly religious people, who actually follow their beliefs. Christians work on Sundays, they swear, they judge, they hate, they murder. There is horror in every direction really. When you say that there are wolfs hiding, all I see are the wolfs. Where are all the truly religious people? I have pagan friends, should they die? Why? Why would your good book say they must die and that you must be the one to kill them? How can a book that has be re-written by so many people, that has been altered so many times be true? I’m not attacking, I just want to know what all the religious people know, and that I can’t find the answers to. I keep getting quotes from the bible, but the answers to my questions aren’t there. Is it not better to just love and respect other views and let the higher powers do the job they claim to do? I mean, how can anyone go to church and trust what is said? When so many churches are ran by people who use their status to gain? Your pastor could be a real jerk when not in church. Know what I mean? :) It’s just hard to find the right direction when your shuffled so many ways. Any views on this would be great. I have spent the last 25 years of my life studying all religions, and truly do respect all views. Please understand that I do not wish to upset anyone, just searching for answers. Thanks.

    What Kind of God

    Would Cast Anyone into Hell?

“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” —Revelation 20:15

Many people are bitter at the idea that a God would cast someone into a lake of fire to be tormented forever. It was legendary author, Mark Twain (1835-1910), who said: “If there is a God, he is a malign thug.” This is how the majority of the world views God. With all the suffering, hatred and religious fighting going on all over the world, many people get angry at God. Why does God allow pain, sorrow and suffering?

The truth is that mankind is responsible for his own woes. I know that’s the last thing people want to read, but it’s the truth. Did God put the United States government $10,000,000,000,000 into debt? No. Did God brew the beer that killed thousands of people last year? No. Did God invade Iraq and murder over one million people? No. Yet, many people find it convenient to blame God for everything. It’s not God’s fault that wicked people banned God, prayer and the Bible from the public school system beginning in 1962. It’s not God’s fault that most Americans are woefully ignorant of truth and saturated with a love for sin.

It is not God’s fault that a generation of hippies in the 1960′s decided to rebel, abuse themselves with illegal drugs, and live in fornication. This is a direct consequence of Rock ‘N’ Roll. As a result, a group of evil people made abortion legal in 1972 at a federal level. We are paying the price today. Now homosexuals are screaming for their “rights.”

For the Wages of Sin is Death

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

God is Holy, i.e., morally perfect. God is the ultimate Lawgiver. Someone recently said to me that God is the biggest mass-murderer in the world because he killed nearly everyone with the flood of Noah’s day. That’s a pretty bold statement. Does not God have a right to take life, since He is the One Who creates life? Who are we to decide what is right and wrong based upon our finite and corrupt human reasoning?

The fact of the matter is that everyone of us deserves to burn in the fires of Hell forever. The reason “why” people get upset with God over the problems in this life is because we think we deserve better. We think humanity deserves better. We want to see every little child eat a good meal. Yes sir! We want to see all wars come to and end forever. Amen! We want everything to be good; but there’s a big problem… we want to live in sin and still secure God’s blessings. It doesn’t work that way. Americans can hypocritically sing, “God Bless America” all they want; but God will NOT bless a ruthless nation of baby-murderers!!! God will NOT bless a vile nation of liars, cheats, pornographers, boozers, fornicators, stiffnecks, lesbians, astrologers, marriage quitters, perverts and sickos.

This sin-loving world deserves to suffer. Most preachers today have lost touch with the reality of God’s Law. Here’s a brief quote from Jonathan Edwards’ classic sermon entitled, “Sinners in the Hands of An Angry God”…

“Your wickedness makes you as it were heavy as lead, and to tend downwards with great weight and pressure towards hell; and if God should let you go, you would immediately sink and swiftly descend and plunge into the bottomless gulf, and your healthy constitution, and your own care and prudence, and best contrivance, and all your righteousness, would have no more influence to uphold you and keep you out of hell, than a spider’s web would have to stop a falling rock. Were it not for the sovereign pleasure of God, the earth would not bear you one moment; for you are a burden to it; the creation groans with you; the creature is made subject to the bondage of your corruption, not willingly; the sun does not willingly shine upon you to give you light to serve sin and Satan; the earth does not willingly yield her increase to satisfy your lusts; nor is it willingly a stage for your wickedness to be acted upon; the air does not willingly serve you for breath to maintain the flame of life in your vitals, while you spend your life in the service of God’s enemies.”

    SOURCE: Jonathan Edwards,

SINNERS IN THE HANDS OF AN ANGRY GOD.

You won’t hear that on the Oprah Winfry Show! Jonathan Edwards is correct… our sins are so loathsome to God that if it weren’t for God’s undeserved mercy, we’d all plunge into the depths of eternal damnation into the Lake of Fire!!! There can be no salvation without the Law of God that shows us our desperate need for the Savior, Jesus Christ. We all deserve to be severely PUNISHED in the torments of Hell because of our own sins. Thankfully, Jesus paid the price for our sins with His own precious blood (1st Peter 1:18,19), so we don’t have to go to Hell when we pass into eternity. Jesus is Precious!

If people could only grasp just how wicked they are, and the extent to which we have all violated God’s holy Law, no one would ever question why God would punish someone in the flames of Hell for all eternity. Is that a gamble you’re willing to take?

    Man’s Freewill

Blaming God for the problems of this world is to say that God should override man’s freewill and force Himself upon us. If God did that, then we’d blame Him as well. Sin is the culprit; not God. God never created Satan; he created an upright archangel, Lucifer, who chose to rebel and sin on his own. God never created a fallen world; Adam and Eve sinned and allowed sin to enter into the world (Romans 5:12). God is not to blame. It is not His fault. God is doing a good job.

When Adam and Eve chose to eat of the forbidden fruit, they sinned and opened a Pandora’s box upon humanity. To date, God allows mankind to make their own decisions, and to suffer the consequences thereof. The world is in a mess today because of man’s greed,

love for war, selfishness, racial hatred, and love for sin in general. Sin is violating God’s Law. Consider the sinful pride and arrogance of Las Vegas, a city so vile and wicked that they’ve nicknamed it “SIN CITY.” They might as well spit on God.

The average person complains often about the “evil rich people” who control everything and afflict those who are less fortunate; but they’d do the same exact thing if they were rich. We are all rotten sinners, looking out for number one, self. Only by yielding to God’s Holy Spirit through obedience to the Scriptures can any believer please God (2nd Corinthians 10:5).

Although God has given mankind a free will to decide for himself; He has also commanded us to “repent” (Acts 17:30). The reason why there is so much evil in the world today is become of man’s stubbornness, pride and love for sinful pleasures. God is NOT to blame. Sadly, our actions DO affect our loved ones, as

Madalyn Murray O’Hair found out when her wickedness ended up getting herself, her son and her granddaughter murdered.

    Charles Spurgeon on God’s Justice

God is the ultimate Lawgiver. He is not unrighteous to throw the abominable, who reject His gift of free pardon, into Hell. Consider the following quotes by the mighty man of God, Charles Haddon Spurgeon…

“First, we cannot expect that the God of the Bible would allow sin to go unpunished. Some may imagine it; they may dream their intellects into a state intoxication, so as to fantasize a God apart from justice; but no man who has any common sense, can imagine a God without justice.”

“You cannot conceive of a good king or of a good government that could exist without Justice, much less of God, the Judge and King of all the earth, without justice in His heart. To imagine Him all love, and no justice, would be to make Him less than God. He would not be capable of ruling this world if He had not justice in His heart.”

“There is in man a natural perception of the fact, that if God exists, He must be just; and I cannot imagine that you can believe in a God, without believing also in the punishment of sin. It would be difficult to imagine Him elevated high above His creatures, seeing all their disobedience, and yet looking with the same composure upon the good and upon the evil; you cannot imagine Him giving the same reward of praise to the wicked and to the righteous…”

“This world is not the dungeon where God punishes sin… judgment is reserved for the next world… Your own consciences will tell you that God must punish sin. You may laugh at me, and say that you have no such “belief.” I did not say you had, but I said that your conscience tells you so, and conscience has more power over men than what they think to be their belief. As John Bunyan said, ‘Mr. Conscience had a very loud voice, and though Mr. Understanding shut himself up in a dark room where he could not see, yet he used to thunder out so loudly in the streets, that Mr. Understanding used to shake in his house through what Mr. Conscience said.’ And it is true so often.”

“You say in your understanding, ‘I cannot believe God will punish sin;’ but you know He will. You don’t want to confess your secret fears because to do so would be to give up what you have so often most bravely asserted. But because you assert it with such boasting and high-sounding words, I think you don’t really believe it, for if you did, you would not need to look so big while saying it… I know that when you are dying you will believe in a hell. Conscience makes cowards of us all, and makes us believe, even when we say we don’t, that God must punish sin.”

    SOURCE: Charles Spurgeon, sermon entitled,

TURN OR BURN, preached December 7, 1856, at the Music Hall, Royal Surrey Gardens (Note: some false teachers have tried to use this particular sermon by Spurgeon to teach Lordship Salvation; but by careful consideration of the word “renunciation,” it is clear Spurgeon wasn’t).

God is a holy (morally perfect) God, Whose holiness demands justice! If God were to break His Word, then he would be unholy and untrustworthy. The Bible clearly tells us in 2nd Peter 3:9 that God is “not willing for any to perish… but that all should come to repentance.” God never casts anyone into Hell with a smile on His face or joy in His heart. I am leery of professed Christians who rejoice over the death of the wicked. The Bible plainly states in Ezekiel 33:11, “As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live.”

Hell wasn’t created for mankind; but rather, for the Devil and his angels. Every human soul that enters Hell will be there only by their own CHOICE. Everyone either chooses to trust or reject Jesus Christ as their Savior. The issue is sin. We are all sinners condemned under God’s Law (Romans 3:19-23). Only through the sin-cleansing blood of Jesus Christ can anyone go to Heaven (1st Peter 1:18, 19). No amount of self-righteousness or religious experience can save a person from Hell.

    Conclusion

People mutter all kinds of accusations against the God of the Bible. Oh listen my friend, God is a Good God! He is VERY Great. Those who curse and blame God will not persist in their blasphemies forever…

Psalms 2:1-5, “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us…

He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.”

There is only one way you’ll ever get a pardon from God to escape the judgment of Hell—the blood of Jesus Christ. The Son of God left His glory in Heaven and came to the earth to suffer and bleed and die on a Roman crossl to pay for OUR sins. He didn’t have to do it because He didn’t have any sins of His own (2nd Corinthians 5:21). But, He loved us so much that He did it anyway (Romans 5:8). Friend, if you go to Hell, you’ll have no one to blame but your own self.

  42. Jen says:

Thank you AC for bringing new views into light for me, but While all those passages are great reads, it still does not answer one simple question. Why would he ask you to kill, when he himself says it’s a sin to do so? How confusing. If anyone can give me the answer to this question without quoting from the bible, just from simple understanding that would be a blessing. I have a hard time allowing a believe into my life that appears to be tainted. If there is a God I would not blame him for the corrupt nature of humans, only I would stand before him and ask, why he created us to begin with? No where in the bible does it say why we are ultimately here. Only does it point out that we are to live life without sin, then die and go to a great place, what’s the purpose of that entire process? Also why is it many people believe in different religions, as all say theirs is the right religion. I’m baffled in all my studies on what is real and true. Why would he not come to me in my open heart with sincere questions, if he were not real? I’m almost upset that he has made himself know to people around me that have sinned more than I, yet he hides from me. I have spent many years praying, doing good onto others, and loving as much as I can, am I destined to be tortured forever regardless of my goodness, or is this all a hoax? I will continue my quest for answers in hopes someone can answer the original question: why would he ask you to kill, when killing is a sin? To me this means that he is selfish in that if there are those who do not believe they should die. That’s like saying yeah, your good but not the way I want it. What good lord acts like that? Because he does not show himself to me, I’m left with thinking he acts like a child and I don’t want to think like that. And furthermore what God would send a person to hell that is not religious and has done so many great things for people, everyday for all their life span? My grandmother might have been born a “sinner”, but she lived her life for the goodness of others. She never did anything against the bible other than God not showing up in her life. She too was searching. Is she in “hell”? When I was a child growing up I would invite different pastors and priests over to study with them, learn the ways of God and all I can do to be apart of his greatness. The answers I seek are not in the bible. They are in the hearts of those that believe. But none of them were able to answer. How can a pastor or priest not answer the mentality about killing? None of them could tell me why it’s ok to kill a witch even a good one at that, and yet not commit a sin in the process. If I can find these answers and understand what they mean, maybe then he will show himself to me? I hope so! :) I will be greatly disappointed if when my time comes I am punished by those who sinned so long ago, considering my heart has always been open. If God is real, may he show himself to me, let me love him and understand him.

Response to #38, Adi. This refers to pre-meditated murder of another human in Hebrew. It is mistranslated as kill in most bibles. The bible commanded cities of refuge where a person who committed an accidental murder to go to live rather than have the victim’s family murder him in retaliation. It does not apply during times of war to protect your nation from an enemy.
It does not refer to animals for food. We are given the proper and human way to slaughter within the bible and extra rabbinic writings.
We wear leather shoes, jackets, belts. We have leather sofas, etc. You may chose not to eat meat. I would not dine with a vegetarian friend and offend them by eating something that they prohibit for themselves.
I am still awaiting a response on my request for why most churches are worshipping on Sunday when this is not the 7th day within the 10 sayings in stone! Not one person has given me an answer.

  44. AC says:

    The Nine Commandments of God

And God spake all these words, saying…
1.Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2.Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
3.Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain.

5.Honour thy father and thy mother.
    6.Thou shalt not kill.
    7.Thou shalt not commit adultery.
    8.Thou shalt not steal.
9.Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
10.Thou shalt not covet. . . any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

Commandment four is a “ceremonial law” which was ONLY for Old Testament Israel. Ceremonial laws were a specific set of laws, for a specific group of people (Israel), for a specific time period (Old Testament).

When Jesus died on the cross, He became our Sabbath. The six day work week in the Old Testament pictured man foolishly trying to earn salvation through self-righteous good works (which is impossible). The Sabbath day of rest represented our precious Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, Who died in our place to pay for our sins. 2nd Corinthians 5:17, “For He [God the Father] hath made Him [God the Son] to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”

We are saved by ceasing from our own self-righteous efforts and resting upon the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ. Jesus paid a debt that He did not owe, because we owed a debt that we could not pay. Only through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ can anyone be saved. Romans 3:25, “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through FAITH IN HIS BLOOD, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.” Salvation is undeserved and wholly by the grace of God toward us sinners.

Colossians 2:14, “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.” When Jesus died on the cross, the 6″ thick veil in the Jewish temple was torn into two pieces, signifying a new covenant between God and His people. The ceremonial laws were done away with. Ceremonial laws were “reminders” to Israel of divine truths. Please understand that the way of salvation did NOT change, all people of all times have been saved the same way—by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 10:43; Ephesians 2:8,9).

The Sabbath Day is not enforced today, which is why the Bible further states in Colossians 2:16,17, “Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.” It is certainly appropriate for Jews to observe the Sabbath Day in honor of the Lord, but it is not required anymore. The Israelites were forbidden to even light a fire on the Sabbath (Exodus 35:3).

Obviously, the Sabbath is not enforced today. Circumcision, the Sabbath, eating of swine, and other Jewish restrictions in the Old Testament were ceremonial laws, which were all done away with at the cross (as far as being mandatory). As we just read in Colossians 2:17, the Bible called the ceremonial laws, “a shadow of things to come.” When the sun is directly overhead, the shadow is gone. Jesus was the fulfillment of the Sabbath, in Whom we rest for salvation.

There is nothing in the New Testament about keeping the “ten” commandments. I called this article the “nine commandments”; but in actuality there are HUNDREDS of commandments of God throughout the Scriptures. Jesus summarized them in “two” commandments in Matthew 22:36-40… Love God and your neighbor. There’s certainly nothing wrong with displaying the Ten Commandments; but I think it’s important that we realize the Sabbath Day is no longer in effect.

Instead, we honor the Lord on the first day of the week, which is Sunday. This is not the Sabbath; but I think very important. America was a much better nation when stores used to close on Sundays. In fact, many stores lowered their window shades on Sunday, so people couldn’t window shop. This was out of respect for the Lord. Nowadays, greedy companies require employees to work midnight shift, Sundays, Christmas, and have no regard for God nor man.

If the Sabbath were still in effect today, then everyone who worked on the Sabbath (Saturday) would be put to death. Exodus 31:15, “Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.”

Also, moral laws are applicable 365 days a year (all the time). We are never to violate a moral law! We are never to commit murder. We are never to commit adultery. We are never to bare false witness, etc. However, the Sabbath Day was ceremonial and to be kept only ONCE a week. This it was not a moral law.

Also, moral laws apply to ALL humanity, the Sabbath was only for Israel, it was a ceremonial law. As a matter of fact, Jesus broke the Sabbath! Jesus would never break a moral law! Jesus was strict on moral law, but lenient on the Sabbath because He was the fulfillment of the Sabbath. This should make very clear that the Sabbath is not valid today. So when you here people talking about the “Ten Commandments;” in fact, there are only nine remaining, which are moral laws (which do not change).

  45. AC says:

God’s Commandments are NOT rules to obey as a personal favor to God. They are the fundamental principles without which mankind cannot live together.
They are not laws—they are the LAW.

    There are Hundreds of Commandments!

The words “Thou shalt” appear 965 times in the Old Testament. The words “Thou shalt not” appear 204 times in the Old Testament. Of course, not all of these are God speaking, but most of them are. The Ten Commandments do not forbid homosexuality, but God’s Law does forbid homosexuality in Leviticus 20:13 and elsewhere. It is important that people be taught all of God’s Word.

It is interesting that Jesus summed up all the Law and prophets into TWO commandments . . .
Matthew 22:36-40, “Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

Yet, in the Old Testament God gave Moses TEN commandments to give to the Israelites. And then further still we see that there are literally hundreds of commandments in the Bible for Christians to obey. Jesus wasn’t superseding the whole of God’s Law with TWO commandments; but rather, He was simplifying the Law of God for us to understand. The Bible doesn’t tell us not to hit our neighbor with a baseball bat, but if we love our neighbor as our self as Jesus commanded, then we won’t do that.

All of the commandments in the Bible fall under the umbrella of the Ten Commandments. The first five commandments are based upon loving God with all our heart; and the last five commandments are based upon loving our neighbor as our self. This is why Jesus summarized them as such. If a man loves God and his neighbour, then he will do no harm to either (and in so doing fulfil the Law).

A man recently said to me that the Bible only forbids men from committing homosexuality in Leviticus 20:13, but it does not forbid women from doing so. Yet, if people love God then they won’t commit such wickedness. In fact, the Bible does condemn lesbianism, as we read in Romans 1:26, “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature.” It’s sad how people attempt to justify sin with the Scriptures.

We must take the Bible as a whole and not overlook any portions of it. If we take to heart the TWO commandments that Jesus emphasized: 1) Loving God with all our heart, and 2) Loving our neighbor as our self, then we will fulfil all of the Law of God in obeying those two. That is, a man who loves his neighbor won’t toss cigarette butts into his swimming pool, et cetera.

Jesus taught that all of the Old Testament Laws were based upon loving God and loving one’s neighbor. If we get those two commandments right, then everything else will fall into place. A man who loves his neighbor won’t deliberately hurt his neighbor in any way. If a man loves God, then he will live for God and keep His commandments.
So as much as we hear about the “Ten Commandments,” the Word of God contains many more commandments than that, hundreds in fact. The Ten Commandments are a symbol of God’s intolerance for sin.

Galatians 3:24,25, “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.” The purpose of the Law was never to get anyone to Heaven, nor to promote better human relations. God gave the Law that “sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful” (Romans 7:13). The purpose of the Law is to show us just how rotten and sinful we are; thus revealing our desperate need for a Savior to redeem us from hellfire. Jesus paid for our sins that we might be redeemed to God.

In view of all the possible sins mankind is capable of committing, the Ten Commandments were given as a moral benchmark (a measuring stick) for the Jews to compare themselves against. Everyone has broken God’s Commandments. Those who die in their sins without Christ as Savior will be judged by the Law at The Great White Throne of Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15).

The Sabbath, whenever mentioned in the scriptures, always without exception, designates the seventh day of the week. Clearly, the Sabbath Day was for a specific people (the Jews), during a specific time (the Old Testament), in a specific region (Palestine). Nowhere in the Bible is it affirmed that the first day of the week is given in place of the Sabbath. It is part of the new covenant and with a new significance, the day which our blessed Lord was raised from death according to Mark 16:9, “Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.”

America was a much better nation back when we honored God enough to close our businesses on Sunday, refuse to work on Sundays, and go to church on Sundays. 1st Corinthians 16:2 evidences that Sunday had become the accepted day of going to church in the New Testament, “Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.” Acts 20:7, “And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.” Colossians 2:16 says, “Let no man therefore judge you… in respect of… the sabbath days.” This proves that the Sabbath Day is not a command for believers today, for we are not to judge anyone concerning the keeping of it.

Christ is our Sabbath in Whom we rest for salvation. We are saved by HIS righteousness, and not our own self-righteousness! Unfortunately, Catholics don’t believe this and are hellbound in their own self-righteousness. It is not the Church that saves us, nor ourselves; but rather, the blood which Jesus shed for our sins. We are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8,9).

  46. Greg says:

Jen, I am really praying that you find the answers you are looking for. Any true Christian would feel the same when reading your plea. Your question “Why would he ask you to kill, when he himself says it’s a sin to do so?” Could you please give me the verses in the Bible where you are seeing this? Please include the version of the Bible you find it in. I truly want to study it. Your questions are real and AC and other true Christians are wanting to give you the truth. It is not my place to condem, I deserve Hell myself. I don’t fully understand how a thin single piece of wire can produce a 1080HD picture in my home, but I have faith that when I turn on my TV it will have a picture. I have faith that by my believing in Jesus Christ, that He is the one and only Son of God, and that He came to this cruel sin filled earth to live a perfect life only to be the perfect sacrifice by dying on that cross for you , AC, me, and whosoever believes in Him. Jesus rose from the grave and the tomb where he laid was empty. He died, was buried, and ressurected so we would not have to die in our sin. Therfore I am saved. I have the desire to turn from my sin and ask God to forgive me daily.

  47. Jen says:

Ah more food for thought! I appreciate all your time on this AC, it is a blessing in disguise for me. :)
@ Greg- “You shall not permit a sorceress to live” Exodus 22:18 I hope I m reading it wrong, but I’ve ready the entire page so many times.
I just about fell out of my chair with the TV thing! So true! But you can physically see the little wire no less which makes it easier to believe that it is there. I think there is something I am doing wrong, if the God guy does exist and I am unable to see that he exists. How does one truly know? How does he show himself to people without being seen, heard, felt, tasted? What physical proven sign is there that I am not seeing? I feel like a child with her hands over her eyes waiting for a surprise. :) Oi, the brain is rolling before bed.

  48. JimmyB says:

    Jen;

It’s been a long time since I have delved into a discussion like this so please bear with me.

God was setting the laws of the land and the penalty for each law that was broken. When an ox was stolen four must be repaid. Why he chose death for a sorceress I am not qualified to answer but I do know that it would have had to been proven in a court before Moses before a sorceress was killed.

Now a little about Moses, he was favored by God and was truly a holy man but even he fell short. Just think he led the people of Israel out of Egypt and through the desert for forty years then when they were close to the promised land he was allowed to see it but would not enter because he disobeyed God and struck a rock instead of speaking to it.

The people of Israel knew the law and if they decided to disobey they knew the penalty just as we as God’s children know the penalty for disobeying His commandments today.

One small note, I am on a computer that is connected to something called the World Wide Web, no wires. How the wireless signal works I don’t know or how every computer anywhere in the world can look at what I am writing to you but I believe they can by just typing in the address.

As far as something physical, there is nothing that is why it is called a belief one chapter for you – John 20:29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

I see the physical things every day because I believe.

  49. Tosha says:

Jen about your question regarding (you shall not permit a sorceress to live)

You have to take in to account that in the Hebrew culture there was given a decree of law and within that law there was a statute of unlawful killing and lawful killing, like in the phrase thou shalt not kill, the word used for kill in Hebrew is (ratsach) this word means to unlawfully murder. This was the same word used when Cain killed his brother Abel, it was unlawful, done for selfish and jealous reasons. Now within the law to lawfully kill was permitted like the word in Hebrew for capitol punishment was (muwth). The reason that it was given to them that they could lawfully kill was so that unlawfullness would not spread across the land and create a bad society.

Example: If you have a bag full of apples and 1 apple goes bad, you must remove the 1 bad apple or else all the good apples will soon go bad along with the bad one. (evil is contagious, it spreads)

so it was permitted in certain instances to kill for that reason, just to keep a good society.
As far as a witch goes it is also a little different than what we believe today, In today’s standards anyone who practices magic is considered to be a witch, back in the old day it was not so. Many people practiced magic some of Gods most rightous men did. but a witch to them was one who practiced magic of a dark nature and it was not gotten from God. There is light and dark in the world God is the Light and satan is the dark, a child of God is not permitted to do anything by the power of satan that was a very unlawful thing, an abomination to the Lord, total opposite of him so for that reason it was permitted to kill a witch, in our day we would call it a devil worshiper, a very evil doer. Also in the Bible sometimes God is saying something and sometimes it is the opinion of the man who is speaking, because there were many instances that some men in the bible commited murder and they thought they were in the right but they were not and they were punished for it by God. Also I will say that when Christ came in his grace he showed men that everyone has sin John 8:7 He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone. Me personally I would not commit murder for the simple fact that I just have it in my heart that we should not take a life but lets say a murderer breaks into my home and tries to murder my child, I will definately defend and if it lead to that persons death it would be permitted by God, that type of murder. because that person would have come to me to do evil and justly I could remove the evil from before me in that situation. By the time Christ came everyone had done some evil in some way or another so everyone would be murdered if the standard of the law was observerd so from then we were to live under his grace and love, his ultimate sacrifice for us that we may repent and be saved through him. His message to us was clear, turn the other cheek, and cast the first stone if you are guiltless, there is no one here who is perfect so no one should kill anyone anymore for the reason of punishment.

(Matt. 10:13). We are not to rail against or retaliate against our enemies and persecutors but rather bless them and pray for them (Matt. 5, Rom. 12:14). We are to rebuke and reprove the works of darkness, but we are to do violence to no one.
Matthew 13:24-30, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Matthew 13:36-43, He that sowed the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.”

We are not to murder witches or even satan worshipers today God will send his angels to do the reaping in the end and he will have his vengance for their evil deeds. Also many who say they are Christians are not just as Christ said to the Jews in the past.
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own for he is a liar, and the father of it.

John 8:45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Christ would say this same thing to many who call themselves Christians today. And I would imagine if you see one who commits murder and proclaims to be Christian, he is a liar and one of the wicked ones.
judge by the fruit no matter who they proclaim to be There are many false Christians in the world but it does not make Christ false.
Anyway I hope this helps. God Bless

  50. AC says:

    To All,

Now ask yourself this question: Why am I trusting Jesus? What is so special about Jesus that I am supposed to trust Him alone? Here is how I would answer…

“Because I came to God(by faith)as a guilty, hell-deserving sinner who could NOT save myself. God Almighty came down from Heaven into this sin-cursed world and became flesh. Jesus was born of a virgin and lived a sinless life as God in the flesh. Jesus came(God’s grace) as the Christ (the Messiah) to save lost sinners. He was falsely accused and wrongfully tried. Jesus was beaten, mocked and shamed by the Roman soldiers.

Jesus was crucified on a cross. He shed His precious blood for our sins. He died and was buried. Jesus then arose bodily from the dead three days later. He ascended into Heaven to present Himself before the Father with the shed blood (Hebrews 9:12,24). Jesus sprinkled His blood on the heavenly Mercyseat in the presence of God the Father. God was pleased and His requirement for justice was completely satisfied by Jesus’ blood. The blood made salvation available for ALL mankind.”

That’s why I trust Jesus for my salvation… because Jesus has the scars. Why should I trust Jesus? …because Jesus paid the price!!! Jesus paid a debt that He did NOT owe, because we owed a debt that we could NOT pay.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD. Psalm 150:6
