The 1000 Year Millennium Kingdom

After the last bowl judgment is thrown by God the Father to the earth – the battle of Armageddon ensues and then Jesus comes back to put a final end to all of it.

The Antichrist and False Prophet are the first ones to be thrown into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone. Satan is then thrown into the Bottomless Pit for a thousand years, and all of the bad and unsaved people are kept in Hades (Hell) for the next 1000 years.

All of the above was discussed in my article titled, “Basic Overview of Main End Time Events,” so I will not repeat what was in that article. All the Scripture verses were given to you in that article on all of the above events.

Now that Jesus has returned back to our earth for the second and final time – what exactly is He going to do? He is going to be setting up a 1000 year Millennium Kingdom in which He will literally rule this entire earth from the city of Jerusalem in Israel. Here is what the Bible has to say about what will be going on during this time period.

The Bible says this period will be a time of perfect peace. Jesus will rule this entire earth from the city of Jerusalem, and He, and He alone will be the only official Ruler and King of this earth. Men will no longer war with one another and even the wild beasts like tigers and lions will be tame.

All of the saints who have been living with Jesus in heaven will be coming down with Him to help Him rule the nations of this world. Jesus will be the only God people will worship and serve. All other false religions will have been completely done away with. People will live long lives, possibly up to a 1000 years like they did before the flood of Noah.

Here are the main verses from Scripture that will give us this specific information.

Jesus Will Rule This Earth From the City of Jerusalem

Some people think that Jesus will not be literally ruling this earth from the city of Jerusalem. They think He will be ruling from Heaven where He is at now. I believe this view is wrong. The following Scripture verses will tell us, without any other possible interpretation, that Jesus will literally be ruling this entire earth from the city of Jerusalem, not from Heaven where He is at right now.

1. This first verse is from the Book of Psalms. It is God the Father making a statement that He will set His Son Jesus on the holy hill of Zion where He will literally rule from. God is saying that He is going to give Jesus the entire earth as His possession.

“He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure: “Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to Me, ‘You are My Son, today I have begotten You, ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ” (Psalm 2:4-9)

2. This next verse says that God the Father will be giving Jesus the throne of King David, which is from Jerusalem, and that His kingdom will last forever.

“He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David … And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” (Luke 1:32-33)

3. This next verse tells us that this kingdom will never be destroyed and that it will not be left to humans to try and manage. Humans have made nothing but a mess of things over the course of human history, and God will no longer be putting up with us trying to run the world. This verse tells us that Jesus’ kingdom will now consume all of the other earthly kingdoms of this earth and break them into pieces.

“And in the days of these things the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.” (Daniel 2:44)

4. This next verse tells us that all peoples, nations, and languages will serve Jesus. Jesus, and Jesus alone, will be our earthly King, and no one else will be worshiped as a god or king. Jesus will be the sole supreme Ruler and King of this earth forever and ever!

“I was watching in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of Man, coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His Kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.” (Daniel 7:13-14)

5. This next verse tells us that our earthly government will be on Jesus’ shoulders. It says we will have a peace on this earth that will have no end!

This verse also reaffirms that Jesus will be upon the throne of David and that He will rule with justice and righteousness from His throne. He will be called the Prince of Peace! We will literally have heaven on earth with Jesus in complete control of everything.

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end. Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, ever forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” (Isaiah 9:6-7)

6. This next verse tells us that Jesus will literally be dwelling in the midst of Jerusalem. It says that Jerusalem will be called the holy mountain of God. I believe this verse is telling us that Jesus will literally rule this earth from the city of Jerusalem – not heaven!

Thus says the Lord: ‘I will return to Zion, and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, the Mountain of the Lord of hosts, the Holy Mountain.’ (Zechariah 8:3)

7. Here is another good verse that will tell us that Jesus will literally be dwelling in our midst. When the Bible says that Jesus will be dwelling in our midst, I believe this is literal interpretation – that He will literally, not symbolically or figuratively, but literally be dwelling and living among us in this Millennium Kingdom.

“Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,” says the Lord.

“Many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and they shall become My people. And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you. And the Lord will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land, and will again choose Jerusalem.” (Zechariah 2:10-12)

8. Here is another verse driving home the point that Jesus will literally be dwelling in our midst. This verse also tells us that His tabernacle and sanctuary will also be in our midst in addition to Himself. This sanctuary will sanctify Israel.

“… and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. The nations also will know that I, the Lord, sanctify Israel, where My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.” (Ezekiel 37:26-27)

9. Here is another good verse that tells us that Jesus will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel and that His glory and no other will once more fill their temple.

“The Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the temple. Then I heard Him speaking to me from the temple, while a man stood beside me. And He said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of My throne and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel forever. No more shall the house of Israel defile My holy name, they nor their kings, by their harlotry or with the carcasses of their kings on their high places.” (Ezekiel 43:5-7)

10. This next verse is very interesting, once more proving, without any shadow of a doubt, that Jesus will literally be ruling this entire earth from the city of Jerusalem. This verse also tells us that people will talk about going to see Jesus in Jerusalem and will come and actually seek Him out in Jerusalem.

The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, “Let us continue to go and pray before the Lord, and seek the Lord of hosts. I myself will go also.” Yes, many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.’

“Thus says the Lord of hosts; ‘In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’ ” (Zechariah 8:21-23)

The Saints Will Rule With Jesus Christ
in This Coming Millennium Kingdom

The Bible tells us that the saints, who are actually in heaven when all this starts to take place, will also literally come down and rule with Jesus in this Millennium Kingdom.

The earth will thus have a mixture of people who have survived the 7 year Tribulation who will continue to have children to keep the earth populating, and all of the saints who have died, passed on into heaven, and who then will be coming back down with Jesus to rule the nations with Him.

1. This first verse tells us that the saints of the Most High will literally receive this kingdom and actually possess it forever and ever.

“But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.” (Daniel 7:18)

2. This next verse tells us that the saints who are overcomers will be given power over the nations. The word “overcomes” may be referring to the saints who were martyred in the Tribulation and who did not give into taking the mark of the beast and/or all of the saints who have ever lived who have made it through this life remaining loyal to Jesus.

“And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations.” (Revelation 2:26)

3. Here is another good verse that basically says the same thing about he who overcomes in this life for Jesus:

To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” (Revelation 3:21)

4. This next verse specifically tells us that the saints who are martyred during the Tribulation will also be coming back down to rule with Jesus. This verse also tells us that this era will last for 1000 years. This is how you know that the Millennium Kingdom will be lasting for a 1000 years.

“And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshipped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:4-6)

The rest of the dead refer to all of those people who are not saved. They will remain in Hades (Hell) until the 1000 years are over. At the end of the Millennium Kingdom, they are then resurrected to face God in what is called the Great White Throne Judgment, where they will then be judged for their last and final time before God.

The first death is where the unsaved are thrown into Hades (Hell). The second death is when the unsaved are thrown into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone where they will remain for all of eternity. You will notice the above verse tells us that the second death has no power over those who have been involved in the first resurrection. This tells us that the only people who will have part in the first resurrection are the ones who are saved in the Lord.

5. This next verse from Daniel also tells us that the saints will be possessing this kingdom and that they will also be given this kingdom.

“…and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom … Then the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High … His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.” (Daniel 7:22,27)

6. This next verse goes one step further and says that the saints will also be judging the world with Jesus.

Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you …” (1 Corinthians 6:2-3)

Burn these major verses into your memory banks! They are telling us that all Christians will be having a major part to play in the coming Millennium Kingdom. Keep your eyes on this final end – as it will help give you the courage to become an overcomer if these end time events start to occur in our lifetime.

There Will Be No More Wars – Ever Again!

1. This next verse is extremely powerful. It tells us that there will be no more wars between humans ever again – all because Jesus will now be the one and only supreme Ruler of this world. This verse also tells us that all of God’s laws will be going forth from Jerusalem to all of the nations of the world. Jesus Himself will be the One to judge between the nations.

It says that we will no longer “learn war anymore.” People will no longer have to be afraid of anyone or anything, and everyone will be able to live safely under his vine and fig tree. It says that our “swords will be beat into plowshares and our spears into pruning hooks.”

We will truly have heaven on earth in this new environment. It also says that Jesus will teach us all of His ways and that we will all learn how to walk in His paths.

Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established at the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it. Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.”

For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between many peoples, and rebuke strong nations far off; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree. And no one shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the Lord of Hosts has spoken.” (Micah 4:1-4)

2. The reason there will be no more wars is because Jesus will now be the only King and Ruler of this world.

This next verse also tells us that there will be no other religions other than God the Father and Jesus Christ. Differences in religions throughout human history have always been the cause of many wars between nations. This next verse tells us that Jesus will reduce to nothing all the gods of this earth and that all peoples shall worship Him and no one else. All of the other false religions as we know them today will be forever taken off the face of this world.

“The Lord will be awesome to them, for He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth; people shall worship Him, each one from his place, indeed all the shores of the nations.” (Zephaniah 2:11 )

3. This next verse tells us what will happen to a nation or a people if they do not come up to Jerusalem once a year to worship Jesus as King. It tells us that God will withhold rain from that nation, and you cannot live without the water that rains brings to a country.

“And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain.

If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the Lord strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.” (Zechariah 14:16-18 )

Wild Beasts and Animals Will Be Tame

This next verse will tell us that all of the wild beasts and animals on our earth will become tame. It says that lambs will dwell with wolves, calves will dwell with lions, and that the lions will eat straw like the ox. Lions and wild beasts apparently will no longer be meat eating beasts and they will no longer have to kill other animals for their food and nourishment!

It also says that poisonous snakes will no longer be poisonous. It says children will be able to play by the viper’s den. And if they can do that, then poisonous snakes will no longer be poisonous! This verse also tells us that these wild beasts and animals will no longer hurt or destroy.

This incredible verse then ends by saying that the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the seas.

“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; … and the lion shall eat straw like the ox, the nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole, and the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” (Isaiah 11:6-9)

You know we are going to have heaven on earth when all of the wild animals and beasts of this earth will be tame. No longer will we have to keep some of these wild beasts and animals locked up in cages in zoos for people to see.

They, like the rest of us, will be totally free from all of the people who like to control and dominate others for their own gain and profit. We will all be forever safe, free, and secure in this new heavenly environment.

People Will Live Long Lives – No More Weeping or Crying

This next informative verse will tell us that there will be no more crying or weeping. If all the bad and unsaved people are in Hades, Satan is chained up in the bottomless pit during this entire time, and Jesus is the sole King and Ruler of this earth, then there will be no more reason or cause for people to weep or cry over bad things that have always occurred on this earth.

We will truly have perfect peace and a perfect environment in which to live in and work in. There will be no more crime or disorder on our earth – ever again!

This next verse also tells us that people will be living long lives. People will live as long as trees, which could be up to a 1000 years like they did in the time before the flood of Noah. It also says that an infant will no longer live but a few days and no old men who will not fulfill their days. This verse also tells us that people will enjoy the work of their hands and that they shall not labor in vain nor bring forth children for trouble.

“… The voice of the weeping shall no longer be heard in her, nor the voice of crying. No more shall an infant from there live but a few days, nor an old man who has not fulfilled his days: For the child shall die one hundred years old, but the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed … For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, and My elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth children for trouble …” (Isaiah 65:19-23)

Again, just try and imagine a perfect world in which there will be no more wars and no more crime – a world where nothing bad will ever happen again that would cause us to weep or cry – all because Jesus will now be in full charge and running this world the way it should be run.

Conclusion

The above verses give us a very good description of what this Millennium Kingdom will be like and what we can expect. After all the bad things that we will see occur over the last 7 years in the Tribulation, people are really going to appreciate and be very thankful when Jesus comes back down a second time to set up His 1000 Year Millennium Kingdom from the city of Jerusalem.

The final history lesson that we will all learn from the last 7 years of the Tribulation, and from the entire course of human history for that matter, is that humans do not have the answers or the ability to create an utopian world in which to live in. Man will eventually be setting up this world for mass destruction with the increase in technological knowledge, especially in the field of weapons of mass destruction.

Jesus Himself says that had the days of the Tribulation not been shortened by God the Father, that we humans would have succeeded in destroying the entire world. Jesus said that no flesh would have been saved had God not directly intervened and sent Him back down a second time to put a final end to all of the fighting and bloodshed.

Now that all humans will have seen what a mess we had made of this world with the increase of technical knowledge that had been given to us, God is now going to show us what the world can be like with His Son Jesus in total charge.

With God now in complete control of everything, you will notice that He will first take out all the bad and unsaved people from this earth. They will all be kept in Hades (Hell) during the entire length of the Millennium Kingdom. God also throws Satan into the Bottomless Pit during this entire period.

Bottom line – we cannot have perfect peace and perfect order in this world as long as we have Satan, his demons, and bad and evil people running around causing as much trouble as they possibly can. So the first thing God is going to do is to take out all of these bad angels and bad people off the face of this earth. God means serious business when He takes full control, and He will no longer be putting up with these bad and evil influences in this world. As a result, we will now truly have heaven on this earth during this time.

Just try to imagine what this world will be like once all of the above Scripture verses come true and Jesus comes back for this second time to set up this Millennium Kingdom.

Now what happens after the 1000 years has ended? Believe it or not, things are going to go from better to best. We are going to get a New Heaven and a New Earth. But before this event happens, there are two more events that must take place before we can get our final ending with the Lord. These two events will be discussed in the next two articles.

Jaqueline your statement does not line up with the Word. Where did you hear this; from Creflo Dollar or some other televangelical heretic? Because what you said sounds like the flawed teachings of Creflo Dollar, Kenneth Copeland and the like. Mike’s article is truthful to scripture text, and your “theory” is not.

  2. Watcher - January 24, 2012 at 12:07 am

My dear sister in Christ, I have a King James version bible and it does NOT say the EARTH will lie in ruins for 1,000 yrs while all saved people are in Heaven. The verses you quoted from do not say that! (Rev. 20; 2-3). Thus your statement about this is “adding to the Word” and is your theory only. Your comment about Satan tempting “dead resurrected souls” after the 1,000 yr period is again not stated as such in the scriptures, in fact it makes no sense for the final act of Satan to deceive people to rebel who already rebelled against God? Where would the “deception aspect” fit in? This is not logical and absolutely does not line up with the ACTUAL text of Rev.20; 7-10. So no, I reckon some of your comments are not scriptural and you need to re-evaluate what you’ve been taught or concluded on your own. By the way, no one at this point in time knows for sure what the mark of the best will look like, either. You are presuming you ready know what it will be. God bless you, please go back and read your biible as it does not say some of the things you keep posting here.

Sorry but I have no idea what you are talking about –
and it sounds like you do not either, for your unexplanation
    is weird?
I admit my explanations leave something to be desired and I
    tend to talk gobbledegook.
I usually learn something while I am working it out what to
say, and that is a blessing to me.
The saints would usually mean the angelic host, for instance.
“And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his
    prison.
And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters
of the earth … … to gather them together to battle; the number of
whom is as the sand of the sea.” Rev 20: 7-8

“Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them
The Lord shall roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy
habitation; he shall mightily roar upon his habitation; he shall give a
shout, as they that tread the grapes, against all the inhabitants of the
    earth.
A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the Lord hath a
controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give
them that are wicked to the sword, saith the Lord.
Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation
to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the
    earth.
And the slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth
even unto the other end of the earth; they shall not be lamented, neither
gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground. Jeremiah 25: 30-33

“For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall
remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.
And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one
sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the
    Lord.
And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have
transgressed against me; for their worm shall not die, neither shall their
fire be quenched;and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.” Is 66: 22-24

    ” … …
That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.
… … And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth; and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.” Rev 19: 17-21

“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still; and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still; and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still; and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the
tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
For without are dogs (not the animal kind), and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.” Rev 22: 11-15

  4. Watcher - January 24, 2012 at 2:18 pm

Clearly Jacqueline, none of the scripture verses you have copied here provide proof of your theories. As I stated earlier, Rev. 20; 2-3 does NOT say the earth will be uninhabited and lie in ruin for 1,000 yrs. Read it. Those words do not exist in that particular verse or anywhere else in the bible! Therefore how can you honestly say I don’t know what I am talking about, when I use THE WRITTEN WORD OF GOD of which I have not added to, as you have? Jesus gave us a grave warning about adding to OR taking away from the scriptures in Revelations 22:18-19. So what is your excuse for doing this? You are saying that the day of Sunday will be the Mark of the Beast, not a literal mark. Again this goes against scripture. Are you a Seventh Day Adventist?

Seventh Day Adventists believe worshiping the Lord on the first day of the week, rather than the seventh day, is taking the Mark of the Beast. What can we know about the Mark of the Beast from KJV BIBLE SCRIPTURES? (That which we use to reveal all truths of God).

The Mark of the Beast will be a literal mark, it will not be some kind of “spiritual” or non-physical mark, or a day of worship. Revelations mentions many times the beast’s number, and it is the number of a MAN. A MAN. And HIS number is 666. Once you accept the physical mark, whatever it may be (we do not know for sure what it will look like) of course you are then “spiritually sealed” as well, to the Antichrist, the false prophet, and Satan, and will be doomed to the Lake of Fire (eternal torment) with them – REV 20:10.

According to the Greek text, the Mark of the Beast will not be under or “in” the skin such as a chip implant, but rather it will be “on” the skin. From the bible:  “If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on (epi) the forehead or on (epi) the hand”….

The Greek word used to describe the location of the Mark is epi, which means “on” or “over,” and not eis, which means “in” or “into.”

Therefore we should conclude the MARK OF THE BEAST will be a literal mark ON the forehead or right hand that will later cause a foul and loathsome SORE as stated in REV 16:2 and REV 16:11. This judgment of God against those people who take the Mark of the Beast and also worship his image, is similar to the 6th Egyptian plague when Pharaoh would not comply to release the hebrews-EX 9:9-11. Finally, the bible tells us how people without the mark will NOT be able to buy anything, or sell anything. How does your idea of the mark being a day of worship line up with this part of scripture – REV 13:16-18? None of the theory of the Mark being a day of worship lines up with scripture. None. There could possibly be a specific day declared to worship the Beast, no doubt there will be because of a “one world religion and government”. But, to say a DAY is the actual Mark of the Beast is ridiculous as it does not adhere to the Word.

Thank you Watcher for your comment. Yes, it does sound like SD Adventist doctrine. They have a number of issues in their teachings.
However, after being among them this past year (my wife is an Adventist), They do have a few things very right. Salvation by grace through faith is the Biggie they have right. Second, they are more evangelistic than any other main-line denomination (they are NOT a cult). Thirdly, they are very emphatic about the Lord’s soon return and the “Rapture” of the church.
Let’s face it; despite all the graphs, charts and writings, none of us has the whole picture quite as well as we would like people to believe. Everyone has their well-thought-out teaching and can find errors with everyone else’s. Let it suffice to say that we can expect the Lord’s return for His church and pray that it come soon.
I once told a pastor that, whatever we believe about the endtimes, it must line up with Matthew chapter 24 because those are Christ’s words and His description. Test your beliefs against that and see how they line up in chronological order as He gave them. He was less than happy with me because his did not. Do yours? No trick plays or going around the simplicity of His description. Simple English, chronological order, same-same. Tests of the rest must line up with Matthew 25 and 26. Tough stuff there. Some ministers like to throw out the Greek text ploy here and tell you some song-and-dance. Don’t buy it.

First of all, your expectation that I think all the information on this website is true, is a false expectation (to go along with the false comments you made about several scripture verses). I commented that THIS ARTICLE aligned with the bible, but your comments about certain things in this article did not, and I proved that by posting the scripture references to back up my remarks. You cannot deny that as your words are here in print! Yet you keep skirting around that you said these things AS FACT that are not in the bible text! You can “laugh” but anyone can look up these scriptures and see that you have embellished them with your OWN beliefs and interpretations. This “topic” if you will, has nothing to do with the horrendous suffering of Christians throughout the ages. One could easily go throughout history and find atrocities that could easily fit the descriptions of some of the events and “tribulations” of Revelations. The key word is “some”. They all have to fit. You’re right, I haven’t visited your website, because as proven by your comments here, you believe things that are not scriptural and therefore hold no spiritual value. Some of your beliefs could be harmful and lead a person astray if they are not careful to actually read these bible verses themselves. I shudder to think of someone in the future accepting the Mark of the Beast on their body because they read what you posted about it being the day Sunday and not a literal mark! The only reason why I’m debating you now is to help someone who may read these comments and hopefully use discernment to believe God’s word and not your “ideas” that you present as fact. I humbly present the WORD and nothing more. I don’t pretend to have all the answers as you do, however I will take a stand for the Word of God when someone like you publishes things about scripture that are NOT FOUND IN THE VERSE (you keep speaking of the Law? We are warned by Jesus himself against adding to the Words in Revelation and that we would be CURSED if we do this….are you still laughing at running the risk of being cursed?)
Lastly, I never stated that I believed the beast was a person. I agree with this interpretation being the Roman Papal system because it follows actual scripture clues. However I reiterate that your other comments about the Mark of the Beast and the earth being “the bottomless pit” and being void of all life and in ruins for 1,000 yrs., as well as all the DEAD being resurrected and deceived to fight the last battle with God–NONE OF THIS FOLLOWS ACTUAL SCRIPTURE and I proved that by using the very scripture references you “enhanced”. Now you can keep arguing this but your words are in print and so are the bible’s words as evidence…..need I still say more? I’m reproving you with love and concern as Christ would do. So nothing else you can say here matters, with the exception that you can now see the error of your beliefs on these particular scriptures according to the Word of God….perhaps you’ll continue to stay in denial of what the actual biblical text really says, but I pray no one believes these aforementioned ideas of yours as their very souls may depend on it! (as with your misconstrued meaning of the Mark of the Beast). That is crucial to God’s people living in those times.

You do not want to listen and so you do not want me to talk.
It is not my site and so I only wish to maintain that the
mark of the beast IS sun day or first day of the week. Given
to us from the RC Church in the fourth century.
Tell me this, do you observe the sabbath or sun day?
    You cite Rev 16: 2
    “And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth;
and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men
which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which
    worshipped his image”
Right, this wrath of God is here poured out upon sunday keepers.
Only those who have the ‘mark’ or name of the beast suffer.
The ‘image of the beast’ is those protestants who maintain also
the mark of the beast, and these too will receive sores.
These all break the first commandment, choosing to obey Rome’s
    dictate.
    The second angel:
“And the second angel lpoured out his vial upon the sea; and it
became as blood of a dead man; and every living soul died in
    the sea.”
The ‘beast’ arose from the ‘sea of nations’ of Europe, and shed
the blood of countless millions during the wilderness times of
its rule; therefore blood is returned in the sea. A beast that
took away the second commandment, making the third second, fourth
third, and so on. The tenth made both ninth and tenth. Only
those who ‘keep’ God’s true commandments will be saved.
    The third angel:
“And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains
of waters; and they became blood.”
This plague comes closer to the habitation of men upon the land.
All water supplies will be contaminated just as the Law of God was.
“For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given
them blood to drink; for they are worthy.” v.6
    The fourth angel:
“And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was
given unto him to scorch men with fire.”
This comes as retribution for the breaking of the fourth commandment.
Yet stubborness and evil resolution will not change these from Satan
    worship to Godly worship:
“And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God
which had power over these plagues; and they repented not to give him
    glory.” v.9
    The fifth angel:
    “And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast;
and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues
    for pain. v. 10
This plague will strike upon the beast’s seat of power in Rome.
A kingdom full of darkness, for it began with darkness and faded
to paleness and the ruin of countless million of followers, as well
those who were murdered for their faith in God and disobedience to Rome.
The fifth commandment tells us to honour our father and mother, but
here a man who never married calls himself The Holy Father, as well
as Lord God the Pope. God will repay such wickedness in painful retribution.
    The sixth angel:
    “And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates;
and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the
east might be prepared.” v. 12
Satan incites men to global war – east against west; a religious war
in the name of God, whose god is not of heaven on either side!
The earth drying up with global warming because of the neglect of mankind
to care for our world. Evil in man’s heart leads him to follow Satan,
and God’s creation will be ruined.
“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the
dragon (Satan’s paganism listened to), and out of the mouth of the beast
(Roman Catholicism/the beast has mighty following, even by force), and
out of the mouth of the false prophet (image of the beast/or apostate
    Protestantism with countless false beliefs).
For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth
unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to
the battle of that great day of God Almighty.” v. 13-14
    The seventh angel:
“And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came
a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying,
    it is done.” v. 17
When all of nature is in turmoil, and ruin, our Lord will come in the air
to deliver His people and bring them up to meet Him in the air, and take
them to heaven (for a thousand years).
    Destruction follows:
” … And there was a great earthquake … and the cities of the nations
fell … and every island fled away, and the mountains were not found …
and there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven …” v. 18-21

  7. Watcher - January 25, 2012 at 2:22 pm

No Jacqueline, I AM listening. This is why I can’t support your unscriptural views. Now you’ve added even MORE CRAZINESS to the mix. Dear girl how and why did you some up with these conclusions? I have to point out: 1) The false prophet has to be a PERSON, not an image or apostate Protestant beliefs. How do I know this? The scripture says in REV 19:20-….these two were CAST ALIVE into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. Also see REV 20:10- “The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone WHERE THE BEAST AND THE FALSE PROPHET ARE. And THEY (not an inanimate object or philosophy as they are said to be cast ALIVE) will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Tell me how an inanimate object or a belief can a) be alive and b) be tormented????? So another one of your theories bites the dust. Scripture does NOT support your idea. 2) The Mark of the Beast will be a LITERAL mark, NOT THE DAY OF SUNDAY. I proved that in comments above with scripture. Tell me, in your argument that the Mark is a day (Sunday), you had no defense for the “day” being a reason no one could buy or sell without it- REV 13:17. Tell me how people will be able to distinguish whom to sell to and whom to buy from, if the mark is nothing more than a day? That’s IMPOSSIBLE. Granted there will most likely be a unified and enforced day of worship to honor the Beast and Satan, but that day COULD NOT BE THE ACTUAL & LITERAL MARK. The imposed day of worship and the literal MARK to identify Satan’s followers have to be two separate entities according to scripture! (The magic phrase throughout my comments that are BASED ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE not CONJECTURE. 3) The Beast rising out of the sea is the AntiChrist, most likely the last Roman Catholic POPE, (666) and his power. Again scripture says the Beast is cast ALIVE into the lake of fire and eternally tormented, therefore the beast must be a “living thing” not just a “power or government” only as you stated. It is impossible to punish an inanimate object. 4)The rest I already disproved in comments above. I believe you have good intentions Jacqueline, but almost all your conclusions are proven wrong by the Word of God, the actual scriptures. You just can’t omit or ADD certain things to fit your agenda!! And this you have done over and over again. It’s very sad and in the case of your declaration of the Mark of the Beast being the day of Sunday and not a literal mark, very dangerous as well.

  8. jacqueline petrucci - January 25, 2012 at 3:28 pm

You prove to me you do not understand the spiritual mode of God’s Word.
No person will be tormented for ever and ever.
This is figurative and only means they will never live again.
God could never be literally capable of making anyone suffer for ever
and ever, though you actually say so.
God is Love. I love the Lord. You simply love your own diatribe.
You ought to ponder this for a while. Do not be so self-righteous
that you have to be right.
The Bible is not an ordinary book but is the Word of God. I would not
dare to tell lies concerning it.
I hold the Holy Spirit within and think twice before I speak.
To lead others astray would never be my intension.
All the lies and falsehoods, all the wrong religious beliefs, all those
who want to have power (Satan’s power) will be cast into the lake of fire.
So I think the pope and his church leaders will constitute a big part of
who the false prophet is. You have to give God’s Word some spiritual
interpretation. And don’t call me girl, thanks, as I am quite old!

  9. Watcher - January 25, 2012 at 4:08 pm

Another thing I didn’t mention, the Beast, the Devil and the False Prophet ARE NOT DESTOYED, as you stated in comments above. Again you’ve taken artistic license to change the actual words of the verse. …………………… The verse says the 3 of them will be TORMENTED in the lake of fire and brimstone FOR EVER AND EVER. That is what is says. Not destroyed. Not annihilated. Why do you keep changing the Word to suit your beliefs? How can anyone give your beliefs any validity when by doing so you go against the Holy Spirit whose inspiration wrote these words?…………………………….To know God the Father you have to know Jesus His only begotten Son….without accepting Jesus into your heart as Lord and Savior you cannot know the true God. All you talk about is the Law and keeping the Sabbath as if observing these things alone secures you a trip to Heaven. Jesus Christ is LORD OF THE SABBATH. He explains this in MARK 2:22-28!! He also said “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath” in those verses (MARK 2:27)………………………… Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, the Life. The Sabbath keeping nor the Law cannot save you or take away your sins. Only faith and belief in Jesus Christ by the Grace of God can. Period.

  10. Watcher - January 25, 2012 at 6:32 pm

Ms. Jacqueline with all due respect, as I said before I believe you have good intentions. I’m not being self righteous…….that would be very foolish of me. I realize some parts of the bible are allegorical, and some are to be taken literally as written. Your approach is take all of the scripture of Revelations as figuratively. Now even though your intentions are good, you cannot deny you have quoted some scripture INCORRECTLY, as to fit your beliefs………………………….. Now again you’re making God fit into YOUR image of who you want Him to be by spreading the falsehood of Annihilation. You say God is a God of love (He is) so you use your HUMAN UNDERSTANDING to conclude God would not allow eternal torment in the lake of fire. Yet His Word says that HE WOULD throughout the bible, not just in Revelations but in ISaiah 66:24, and Jesus warned about it as well in MARK 9:43-48, about being “cast into hell fire where their worm DOES NOT DIE, and the FIRE IS NOT QUENCHED. How can you then still say this is figurative? I’m sorry but to say this is against scripture, and is just as wrong as to say there is no Hell, even though Jesus talked about it specifically in the case of the death of a beggar named Lazarus and the rich man in LUKE 16:19-31……………………………… We are not to judge God’s actions as they are all done in His perfect righteousness, and His ways and thoughts are higher than ours, as God says about Himself in ISaiah 55:8-9……………………………….. As you should be aware, it is we who during our lifetime choose eternal torment over eternal bliss after physical death. God gave us His Son and Jesus gave us His very life, so hopefully we believe and accept this free gift to choose heaven over hell. Eternal torment (of varying degrees according to your sins) is a better deterrent to chose Life with God/Jesus than simply being destroyed by God and having no afterlife at all. With no remorse, punishment, or consequences millions of people would choose Annihilation after death so they could willfully sin and have no part in the Authority and Lordship of Jesus Christ. Being a true Christian set apart from the ways of the world is not a cake walk as it forces you to take accountability for all your actions. If rejecting Jesus Christ only meant annihilation as a result, many more people would be lost forever, never to enjoy God’s perfect will and love. Therefore God’s and Jesus’s warnings about Hell are true and literal in every sense of Their Word.

  11. Mary - January 26, 2012 at 10:12 am

Dear Jacqueline: Thus Saith the LORD GOD, Maker of Heaven and Earth and Everything Therein:

Jesus the Christ Returns to Earth to Rule and Reign and his Saints with Him, Not in Heaven

“Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? (1 Corinthians 6:2)

The song of the redeemed is, that Christ has made us “kings and priests: and we shall reign on earth”, (Revelation 5:10.)

“One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.” (Ecclesiastes 1:4)

“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5

“For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.”(Psalms 37:22)

“For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.” (Psalms 37:9)

Revelation 20:6: states that Christ will reign for one thousand years after the Great Tribulation.

And he will do so, on earth for, “Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him…” (Rev. 1:7)

“And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.” (Zechariah 14:4)

“And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.” (Acts 1: 6-12)

“And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations.” (Revelation 2:26)

“But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.” (Daniel 7:18)

“And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.” On Earth! “But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.” (Revelation 20:4-6)

Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established at the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it. Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Thus says the Lord: ‘I will return to Zion, and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, the Mountain of the Lord of hosts, the Holy Mountain.’ (Zechariah 8:3)

“Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,” says the Lord. Many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and they shall become My people. And I will dwell in your midst. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you. And the Lord will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land, and will again choose Jerusalem.” (Zechariah 2:10-12)

The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, “Let us continue to go and pray before the Lord, and seek the Lord of hosts. I myself will go also.” Yes, many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.’ Thus says the Lord of hosts; ‘In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’ ” (Zechariah 8:21-23)

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. ” (Rev. 21: 1-3)

“And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.” (Rev. 21:22-26)

    To the watcher:
I think I forgot to mention, for you said how can a sunday mark
    be identified?
    I will tell you.
The image of the beast is apostate protestantism..
The beast is of course the RC Church.
The USA has all the power to maintain sunday worship
and will soon enough change its Constitution to
make sunday the one day of worship to God (?)
Then all of Christendom will follow this, and already
does in actuality anyway, as does most USA churches.
So here will be the union of church and state.

    • Believer - October 13, 2017 at 7:35 am

This is what I haven’t read in KJV, first the Mark of the Beast Rev13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the Beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred three-score and six which stands for 666, Rapture is when Jesus comes in the clouds to gather His children who are saved and live for the Lord, obey his commandments, will be called up together to meet and go to Heaven, then the 7 yrs tribulation starts, after that then the devil gets lick in chains for 1,000 yes, there will be peace on Earth, ( oh before I forget in Rev 13:16-17 the mark of the beast the number will be in your forehead or your right hand, you can’t buy, sell, trade, but if you take that mark, some think it will be like a microchip planted under your skin,, cause the Bible say, in their forehead, and if you take that mark you will go to hell, so now after peace on Earth then there is Armageddon and the second coming of Jesus, that’s when the devil is lose and gets all his people and Jesus and all his saints and there is war, Jesus wins, all the sinner’s and the devil will be slayed, the beast and false prophets, false prophets means preacher that don’t preached the true word of God,ect, a prophet is a person, man or women, then all sinner’s will be judged and trone in a lake of fire forever and ever, the Bible says they will burn eternally, there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth, This is MY believes

  13. Watcher - January 29, 2012 at 1:36 pm

Your response does not explain how a nationally enforced day will cause everyone on earth not to be able to buy or sell without it. You say you’re not a Seventh Day Adventist yet ALL of your doctrines are the exactly the same as theirs word for word…………………………………………………Yes I’m aware Jesus Christ spoke mostly in parables, however the example I gave He did not as He mentioned a specific person………………………………………………..-I never said we should ignore a Commandment but to say that Saturday Sabbath keeping is the only way to keep your salvation is an offense to Jesus Christ’s entire mission and death! Of course Christians should not take part in some kind of forced Mark or Day of worship; whatever that may be……………………………………………………. I find it amusing that people of your faith (maybe you haven’t officially joined them but there’s no denying you believe and post word for word here and on your website SDA doctrine) pick and choose what they want to be taken “spiritually” and what they want to taken literally, to fit your beliefs on Annihilation, Revelations, etc etc. ……………………………….OH lastly thank you for your vaguely disguised remark calling me a LIAR and saying I belong in the lake of fire with Satan. I quote you “But then, God may well let you be, as you teach so you deserve.
For when you teach lies, then that is your lot with Satan”. Very UNBECOMING UNCHRISTIAN LIKE BEHAVIOR JACQUELINE! I’m glad I don’t say such horrible things to those who may disagree with me!

    notice to all:

    1) please discern the Bible-following wisdom written by “watcher” (thank you btw)
    2) and disregard the Bible-contradicting statements made by “jacqueline petrucci”

  15. Bob - February 4, 2012 at 4:12 pm

Would you please clear up some confusion on my part? The first resurrection removes the believers from earth and they are taken to the new Jerusalem in heaven. At some point after the bowl judgements, the new Jerusalem descends to earth where Jesus lives and rules with His people. At the end of the 1000 year period, Satan is released, the second resurrection occurs and Satan gathers an army of nations surrounding the Holy City.

    <>

I believe I understand all of that. My confusion is that God’s people will leave the new Jerusalem during this 1000 year period, right? Here is some scripture to support that view.

    <>

So there will be nations on earth and people will travel BACK to Jerusalem, meaning they do not live there.

What happens to God’s people at the time of the second resurrection? The unbelievers also are described as having nations (Rev 20:7-8). Will the two peoples intermix? Or will God gather all of His people inside the gates of Jerusalem in preparation for the final battle?

  16. Bob - February 4, 2012 at 6:28 pm

UPDATE: OK, my post above removed the scripture references I placed in brackets. Will try again.

Rev 20:9 They went up on the broad plain of the earth and encircled the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and devoured them completely.

I believe I understand all of that. My confusion is that God’s people will leave the new Jerusalem during this 1000 year period, right? Here is some scripture to support that view.

Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore. But everyone shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree. And no one shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the Lord of Hosts has spoken.” (Micah 4:1-4)

The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, “Let us continue to go and pray before the Lord, and seek the Lord of hosts. I myself will go also.” Yes, many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.’(Zechariah 8:21-22)

  17. daniel - February 4, 2012 at 7:07 pm

    Bob,
The question of how believers are protected during the wrath is a good one. The Bible appears to indicate that When Christ comes in the clouds it is during His 2nd (and final) coming to Earth, rather than a brief layover in the clouds to gather believers before returning to Heaven. Otherwise Christ would have to come 3 times, which is simply not found anywhere in the Bible.

There are many things that we are uncertain about regarding the timeline at the end, but it seems we should be careful to avoid forcing the Bible to make complete sense to us now by way of adding to (or subtracting from) what is written. I too have many questions, and will continue studying in the hopes of finding the answers through the Holy Spirit.

    blessings on your reading 🙂

    Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the reply. My confusion really has to do with the time-frame 1000 years after the tribulation (God’s wrath) at the end of the Millennial Reign.

The believers that have reigned with Jesus on earth for 1000 years are then suddenly joined by the unbelievers. The believers will apparently be scattered around earth, outside of the new Jerusalem, to the point where they have nations.

Rev 20:9 describes Satan the gathering of the wicked for war, surrounding new Jerusalem. A lot of detail is actually provided.

So my confusion is about the believers. Are they actually scattered around the earth during the 1000 year period? Is there any indication they moved after Satan is released from the abyss?

  19. daniel - February 5, 2012 at 2:18 pm

    Hi Bob,

I agree that is interesting/confusing. So far I have mainly focused my studies on events that occur before the Millennium, because I figure once it begins we’ll have plenty of time to obtain the answers!
Hopefully you’ll find some explanation, and please share it here if/when you do. I will look into this further as well 🙂

Dear Jacqueline: Thus Saith the LORD GOD Maker of Heave and Earth and Everything therein…

The Mark of the Beast is a “LITERAL” Mark a person will have the option of taking on their “RIGHT HAND or FOREHEAD” in order to “BUY or SELL” Anything when the Antichrist is in power, as it is written in Rev.13:16-18, which states:

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”

  21. Watcher - February 7, 2012 at 9:25 pm

Hello Bob, after reading your questions carefully, it appears that the confusion you have is derived from certain events of Revelations taken out of order. Please correct me if am wrong, but it appears you believe the same as the Seventh Day Adventists, who say all the saved people will be in Heaven for 1,000 yrs. while Christ reigns with them? From what I see in actual Revelations scripture, the Bible says after the 1,000 yrs have expired, Satan, who had been bound by Jesus in the bottomless pit, was now released from his prison to deceive the nations…..therefore during that 1,000 yr reign of Christ and His people are living upon the earth, not everyone in Heaven………………………………Why else would Jesus say that nations that will not come to pay homage will receive no rain, and that they must celebrate the Feast Of Tabernacles? OR that in those days people will live to be an old age (fullness of their days)? This cannot apply to the new earth as death is gone, and this cannot apply to Heaven either as death does not exist in Heaven, therefore we must conclude the 1,000 yr reign will take place on EARTH with people on earth repopulating it…………………………………………….
Another thing that needs addressed is there is NO NEW JERUSALEM coming to the earth at this point in time. This does not happen until AFTER the 1,000 yr period where the FINAL BATTLE of Gog & Magog takes place, and the devil is finally cast into the Lake of Fire with the Beast and False Prophet. Then comes the destruction of the Earth, REV 20:11 (the earth and heaven fled away), then the GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGEMENT, where unbelievers are judged from the Second Resurrection of all the dead……………………………….Now after all this, Revelations says since the first Earth and Heaven passed away, John saw a NEW EARTH and a NEW HEAVEN- REV 20:21. This is important—-THIS is when the NEW JERUSALEM, the holy, glorious and beyond beautiful city made of precious metals and gemstones, with the river of life running from the Throne of God and Jesus, descends from Heaven to the newly created earth, which no longer has oceans. Now there is no more death, crying, or sorrow! Jesus proclaims “IT IS DONE!” and “I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW”- REV 21:4-6. Praise the Lord!!!

  22. daniel - February 8, 2012 at 1:11 am

Watcher, that was both accurate and concise. Thank you 🙂

  23. Bob - February 8, 2012 at 9:41 am

Hey, thank you Watcher. Perhaps I have the chronology wrong. That would do it.

I am not familiar with the 7th Day Adventist view, but from what you describe I do not adhere to their belief. I’ll try to summarize the chronology as I understand it.

    * The rapture of the church occurs prior to the end of Daniel’s 70th week. The believers go to heaven and are with the Lord. Since Jesus promised they would be with Him for eternity, I would think wherever Jesus goes the resurrected church would go with Him.

    * Rev 20:1-3 Satan thrown into the abyss.

    * Daniel’s 70th week is finished which includes God’s wrath. The bowl judgements are part of these and the earth is destroyed as we know it. Mountains collapse, islands sink, fire rains down, etc.

    * Jesus returns to earth and rules for 1000 years. I don’t believe scripture says when He returns during the 1000 year period. It must be after God’s wrath is over, yet before the 2nd resurrection.

    * Jesus lives on earth in Jerusalem with His resurrected people. Isaiah 65:19-23 “Jerusalem will bring me joy, and my people will bring me happiness.”

    * Rev 20:5 The second resurrection of all those that were not resurrected at the beginning of the 1000 year period.

    * Rev 20:7-8 Satan is released from the abyss. Satan is said he will be deceiving the nations and will gather the wicked for war.

    * Rev 20:9 “They went up on the broad plain of the earth and encircled the camp of the saints and the beloved city…”.

OK, some of my confusion must be about Jerusalem. Rev 20:9 speaks of Satan surrounding the beloved city where the saints reside. Isaiah 65:19-23 specifically says Jesus and the saints will be in Jerusalem.

As you point out, this cannot be the new Jerusalem as Rev 21 says there will be no more death. The Jerusalem described in Isaiah 65 mentions some people will die when they 100 years old.

Are there two Jerusalems? John 14 says believers have a destination when He returns to take us to heaven.

John 14:2-3 There are many dwelling places in my Father’s house. Otherwise, I would have told you, because I am going away to make ready a place for you. And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will come again and take you to be with me, so that where I am you may be too.

Zechariah 8:3 and Isaiah 65:19-23 both say Jesus will reside in Jerusalem on earth. Rev. 20:9 says Satan is surrounding the Holy City where the saints reside.

Will His people be taken to heaven to live in His father’s house, but later leave that place (in heaven) when they return to earth with Jesus during the 1000 years? And then that Jerusalem will be replaced by a new Jerusalem after the end of the 1000 year period?

This sort of brings us back to my original question about where the believers reside on earth during the 1000 year period. Isaiah 65:19-23 says they are in Jerusalem, and Zechariah 8:21-22 says some are residing in nations around the world where they return to Jerusalem to seek the Lord. I can understand that. But when Satan is released, his army surrounds the Holy city and the saints. Is Jerusalem so large that all of God’s people from all the nations are able to be within its walls as Satan’s army surrounds it?

    What do I have wrong?

  24. jacqueline petrucci - February 11, 2012 at 1:03 am

    Dear Watcher Man
Here was I thinking you had deleted all my witness but
yet it is here in this subject.
I want to announce that I was in error on a certain
subject, and that was the crucifixion times/days.
Now I find (seek and ye shall find) that Christ was
crucified on Wednesday the 14th of Nisan AD31.
Therefore He was in the tomb for three days and nights:
    Thursday night,
    Thursday daytime,
    Friday night,
    Friday daytime,
    Saturday night,
    Saturday daytime.
He rose from the dead after the sabbath of rest ended.

    A day being from 6pm to 6am and 6am to 6pm.
The sacrificial lambs were chosen on the 10th.
Christ rode into Jerusalem at that time and the
people certainly chose Him on that day.
Then kept four days before being killed and eaten.
Jesus and His disciples ate the Passover with
    unleavened bread (unleaven/taking away sin)
    and wine, on Wednesday evening.
Then they went to Gethsemane where Judas betrayed
him with a kiss. The crowd with him sent from
the priests, and carried staves and swords.
Taken back to the priests, scribes, and elders,
Christ was questioned throughout the night but
    opened not His mouth.
Sent on to Pontius Pilate, the crowd then decided
His fate, crying “Crucify Him”. He was then
mocked and beaten by the Roman soldiers, and taken
to Golgotha where He was crucified about 9am.
He died about 3pm as the lambs were being killed.
Buried quickly before the Thursday sabbath drew on,
before the Thursday arrived at 6pm.
That Thursday sabbath being a High Day or annual sabbath.
These sabbaths fell on different days each year
yet called sabbaths, of the Ordinance Laws(no longer applicable
    to us).
Thursday was the first day of the seven day Feast of Unleavened
Bread, until the 21st another annual sabbath day.
So Wednesday was the Preparation Day making ready for the Feast.
Thursday the Feast and sabbath/rest day.
Friday an ordinary day within the Feast.
Saturday the weekly sabbath of rest.

So we can see that the ‘Christian’ easter is wrong.

  25. Watcher - February 11, 2012 at 9:15 am

Ms. Jacqueline, I’m sorry, but it was not me to blame if some of your comments went missing. I have no authority to delete or edit comments, I am not affiliated with this website. I’m just a follower of Jesus Christ who watches over His word and hopes to bless others along the way.

  26. jacqueline petrucci - February 11, 2012 at 3:07 pm

I thank all for allowing me to correct my error.
    We learn as we go.
By the way, I am not affiliated with any church.
Here where I live we have only sunday worship
and I do not believe in that. It breaks the 4th Law.
I keep the sabbath, and do not work or use public
transport, go shopping, and so on.
May I say again as there is much misunderstanding,
and then I will leave yous be:
I do not hold with a millenium reign on earth.
We today await our Lord’s coming in the air to
gather His elect and take us to heaven’s mansions.
At the brightness of His coming (in the air and
not on earth) the world will suffer the catastrophe
of destruction. We will actually escape a world war.
Before this coming, Satan will recognise the end
times and will pretend to be Christ come. He controls
a third of the angels and all will pretend to support
him as the heavenly host. However, as these all are
earthbound, (cast out of heaven) they cannot be seen
to come in the air. Satan’s big hoax, appearing to be
Christ. For the second coming of Christ is called His
appearing. Not His arrival! Appearing in the air.
Just as He promised when He left this earth; He rose up
    or ascended into heaven.
We will rise up to meet Him in the air and be taken to
heaven, to inherit those promised mansion, and to also
help in the work of judgment of the wicked.
Satan is for that length of time in this bottomless
pit (ruined earth) for the thousand years in punishment,
    and to comtemplate his fate.
However, afterwards, God will come with His saints (angels)
to earth for the judgment. For the wicked will never see
heaven. But, when all the wicked are raised, it
will be Satan who is loosed from his prison of isolation,
who will attempt to control these billions of people into
a vast army, ready to attack the camp.
At that moment, God will send fire upon them and devour all.
When someone or something is devoured, it means gone forever.
I do not believe, nor does the Bible say that anyone is to
suffer, and suffer, and suffer for ever.
This surely means they can never again be raised to life,
never, never, never. Though I think we will remember that
lesson and not wish to ever repeat it.
Then we go on to Rev 21 and the new heaven and new earth
to be inherited after our earth is passed away.
Some say another earth, some say our own earth made new.
Then the city of God, New Jerusalem will come down and Jesus
our God and Saviour will dwell with us for ever. Amen

I cannot imagine wanting to imagine anyone suffering forever
while I enjoy a wondrous eternity with God. No, God does
not mean eternal torment. Spiritually, this only means
eternal loss. Loss of all that we will find. Happiness,
    joy, peace, life, love …

I love the Lord. The watcher man tried to say I only talk
about the Law. I must say that without obedience to the
Law, we cannot claim to be Christians. Sin is the breaking
    of the Law.
Sunday worship is breaking the Law, for God gave us the
seventh day as His sabbath of rest. This does not mean we
have to become seventh-day adventists! We just have to
    obey God’s Word.
Many do not keep the sabbath, claiming it is just a Jewish
day. However, we become Israel and Abraham’s seed when we
come to Christ. One is Christ, both Jew and Gentile.
God gave us this hope when we became the ‘whosoever’ of
John 3: 16, and shows that God loved no only Jews, but
thankfully, Gentiles too. We are one in Christ, a chosen
    people.

  27. jacqueline petrucci - February 11, 2012 at 9:00 pm

PS I forgot to ask …

If as you say, the wicked are cast alive
into the lake of fire, to suffer eternally,
are you saying that the wicked have eternal
life as well as the saved?

  28. Watcher - February 17, 2012 at 6:05 am

    To Jacqueline:
It doesn’t matter to me if you’re not “affiliated” with any church, your beliefs you post ARE Seventh Day Adventist doctrine, word for word. You know this is true, yet you deny it by saying you’re not “affiliated”. So tell us; where DID you get all this (so called) scriptural enlightenment?
Are you Jacqueline, willing to risk other people’s ETERNAL LIVES with their blood on your hands, by telling them that there is absolutely no literal Mark of the Beast? Are you positive? Because that’s what you’re doing. With all the SDA doctrine you post here and on your website, you’re like the blind leading the blind as Jesus refereed to the Pharisees.
You’re a modern day PHARISEE who claims to love God, yet your LEAVEN mixes the gospel of grace with old testament laws that MUST be followed to the letter–according to you–or a person will never enter Heaven regardless if that person is truly saved. Apostle Paul condemned this kind of thinking! Our salvation is NOT contingent on works PLUS Grace! You believe the same as the Roman Catholic Church you condemn, are you aware of that?

You believe just as the Pharisee’s of Jesus’s day, that your justification, your sanctification, your perseverance, and your entitlement to heaven, are conditional on YOUR WORKS, such as Saturday Sabbath keeping. God makes it clear in scripture that we are redeemed and saved from Hell by the incorruptable Blood and Righteousness of Jesus Christ ALONE and our salvation has nothing to do with our own self-righteous efforts which in scripture was compared to filthy rags.
    I REPEAT:
After becoming a child of God, good works should follow from the heart of every believer of Jesus Christ, but Saturday Sabbath keeping, etc. is NOT a requirement for salvation or keeping your salvation, as then it is no longer the Grace of God through His Son Jesus Christ. This is totally unscriptural and evil Pharisitical SDA doctrine.
Every Christian should not accept or participate in any kind of nationally enforced day of worship (IF that ever happens) and definitely SHOULD NOT accept any enforced marks, tattoos, chips, etc. on their hands or heads, or elsewhere. To say that you know with all certainty that there is no literal mark has no scriptural evidence and goes against the context of those scriptures.

  29. jacqueline petrucci - February 20, 2012 at 5:23 pm

Can you see the funny side to Satan’s interference.
    Here I stated:
“Only realised when I asked the minister why we do
not observe sunday instead of the sabbath.”

Even here Satan plays his game.
What I was trying to say was:
“Only realised when I asked the minister why we
observe sunday instead of the sabbath.”

It is indeed strange and annoying to be taken
wrongly and misunderstood. Perhaps the Watcher,
if he can control his temper, be forgiven?
Satan is always with us and does bring out the
    evil in all of us.

  30. EG Samuel - February 25, 2012 at 10:52 am

According to Micah chapter 4 verse 5 all people will walk every one in the name of his god during the millennium on this earth. Does it mean that all religion will continue to exist like as it is in now? If so, where is the question of peace among the people on earth and no wars?

  31. Watcher - February 25, 2012 at 2:06 pm

Jacqueline you said before you “think twice” before you write a post. I think you should READ twice too, because I did NOT say nor imply in any of my comments the Commandments were replaced by Grace, and I did NOT call you an “RC”. I said your works-based beliefs were the same as Roman Catholic’s. Please reread what I wrote to verify.

I use CAPs here to emphasize important words. This isn’t yelling or anger. You’re the only person that’s shown anger (toward me) in these comments.

You’ve called me a liar in 2 comments(deleted by the webmaster) and also said that I belong in Hell. Now suddenly you’ve decided to play nice by addressing me as “Dear Sir” and “Watcher Man”? I hate to break it to you….. but I’m a woman. I have no idea why you have assumed I was a man. Surely the same problem you have with judgment has led you to gullibly support all the unscriptural doctrines and ideas of the Seventh Day Adventists and the work of Seventh Day Adventist FALSE PROPHETESS Ellen G. White. To say her books and writings are “divine” is truly an insult to the Bible, God’s holy writ Word. Ellen G. White has changed the entire meanings of scriptures from Genesis to Revelations. I would hate to be in her shoes on Judgment Day.

  32. jacqueline petrucci - February 25, 2012 at 2:40 pm

    Hello darling,
You are not a liar, and neither have I called you one.
    You are sadly just brainwashed.
It is not my role to judge you. I read what I believe
to be nonsense and I do get disappointed.
I have no wish to talk to you again, for you are most
    aggressive.
As for the seventh day adventists:
I do believe they have much to believe in and I am
in gratitude for their witness. I can say nothing
wrong about them, and only grateful for their loving
witness, time, energy, and patience. For I received
from them free books which I find enlightening.
Whereas, here I don’t feel enlightened, but rather,
am incredulous in the wrintings and false beliefs.
Not to insult anyone. I feel sad for yous.
I do receive the magazine, and why I do not know.
It comes from Brisbane, and I live in Melbourne.
Someone must have given them my address.
It is our duty to give our witness, and when we
discover untruths being spread and received by others,
it is God’s call to give an honest account, so that
    a fuller picture is presented.
I would advise everyone who reads these sites to
lay this stuff before God and ask for guidance.
Some things may be right (I have not bothered to
read any of it) and lots will be wrong.
Happy days to all. I think I have done my best.
    Bye, Jacqueline

  33. jacqueline petrucci - February 25, 2012 at 3:37 pm

    PS
I have never said Mrs Watcher belongs in hell.
    Neither was it deleted.
I don’t believe in hell, nor use such language.
I have mentioned the lake of fire, where is a
descriptive spiritual based biblical account of
what is an end of wickedness.
    Not a literal hell.
No, I do not believe in hell and would not use
    such wording.
I have not called Mrs Watcher wicked or any such
thing, though I do think she is deluded; angry
    at anyone else’s opinion/witness.
I am all for love, and God is Love.
His command is that we love one another.
Do not tempt me to write further as I am at an
    end here.
As for Ellen White, I believe she was God’s woman.
She spoke by the holy spirit’s power within.
To cast evil upon her witness is really casting
evil account upon the Holy Spirit.
I would never dare to grieve the Holy Spirit and
lose my place in God’s kingdom.
    Goodbye again.

  34. Watcher - February 28, 2012 at 8:44 am

    To EG Samuel:

It appears that Micah 4, verses 1 through 4, are speaking of future Millennial events. Yet Verse 5, is implying the contrast that all people (today, right now, not during the Millennium) walk each in the name of their own gods, (small g gods, false deities) 4 “But (during the Millennium) WE WILL walk in the name of the Lord our God forever and ever”.

According to scripture all the earth will worship Jesus only during that time, as He rules with a rod of iron and rebukes nations afar, so there won’t be other religions or gods being worshipped for 1,000 years. We do see in scripture however, that during the millennium (which is a very long period of time when you think about it) people become quite nonchalant about keeping/obeying certain rules established by Jesus’ Kingdom reign, or else He would not have to warn them about the consequences of their actions, such as receiving no rain for their nation if they fail to come worship Him.

So, over time we see rebellious attitudes begin to grow as sin is still in the very nature of man throughout the Millennium. When Satan is loosed from the bottomless pit/abyss for a “little while” REV 20:3 (we don’t know for how long, but possibly 3 1/2 to 7 yrs, just like the time frame prior to Armageddon), Satan will again be given a short length of time to deceive those whose love and respect for Jesus has waxed cold.

During this short period of Satan’s final act of rebellion, there will have to be great apostasy and yet again as in the past, I would assume society birthing false religions and idols, for great multitudes of people will now reject the Lord and make war against Him and His saints.

I see a pattern here, that God is thoroughly weeding out the wicked “tares” from 3 different eras of mankind’s history. First the Great Flood of Noah’s day, then the Great Tribulation’s War of Armageddon, and lastly the War of Gog and Magog after the Millennium. Revelations doesn’t get into specifics about this final battle, but EZEKIEL 37:15 through 38:29 talks about it in great detail! This last battle has similarities to the War of Armageddon. God creates another greatly devastating worldwide earthquake, sends pestilence, causes them to attack one another with the sword, and rains down flooding rains, huge hailstones, fire, and brimstone to destroy this evil army (EZEK 38:18-22). It takes the house of Israel 7 months to bury the dead of Gog and his multitudes, and God instructs His people to make fires from the weapons for 7 years (EZEK 39:9-16). Jesus assigns Satan and his demonic legions to the Lake of Fire where the Beast and False Prophet have been for the past 1,000 years. Evil people and those who rejected Christ throughout the generations will join them in the Lake of Fire after the Great White Throne Judgment. The faithful remnant of all eras will enjoy glorious everlasting life with Jesus on the new earth in the New Jerusalem, with the former things erased from our memories. What a blessed hope to look forward to!

    dear Watcher,
i want to show you this quote of yours……..
According to scripture all the earth will worship Jesus only during that time, as He rules with a rod of iron and rebukes nations afar, so there won’t be other religions or gods being worshipped for 1,000 years. We do see in scripture however, that during the millennium (which is a very long period of time when you think about it) people become quite nonchalant about keeping/obeying certain rules established by Jesus’ Kingdom reign, or else He would not have to warn them about the consequences of their actions, such as receiving no rain for their nation if they fail to come worship Him.
what nations will he rebuke?they all got destroyed during Armageddon according to your own doctrine?where do they come from?hello this is extremely contradicting.if the only people in the kingdom are saved people who came from heaven that were given white robes and a new body…..at the rapture dont forget that part.then are you saying after they leave heaven they backslide?see the holes,i could tear a hole bigger than space in this fairy tale 100% fairy tale…contraceptive heresy.you made all that up not one scripture that says that stuff man.are you for real…..you actually believe that?During this short period of Satan’s final act of rebellion, there will have to be great apostasy and yet again as in the past, I would assume society birthing false religions and idols, for great multitudes of people will now reject the Lord and make war against Him and His saints. how does this happen dude there are only Christians left here on earth .according to your doctrine Satan and his angels were destroyed at the battle of Armageddon.again contradiction after contradiction.i hope i dont offend you,i hope you snap out of this false delusion and begin to get the real truth.this is truly a fairy tale.recant and search deeper for truth

  36. tommy - February 29, 2012 at 12:04 am

    dear Watcher,

im not picking on you but again the old testament is the contained word and the new testament is the old testament explained ok!again i find a contradiction i want to open your eyes to truth example you said”I see a pattern here, that God is thoroughly weeding out the wicked “tares” from 3 different eras of mankind’s history. First the Great Flood of Noah’s day, then the Great Tribulation’s War of Armageddon, and lastly the War of Gog and Magog after the Millennium. The faithful remnant of all eras will enjoy glorious everlasting life with Jesus on the new earth in the New Jerusalem, with the former things erased from our memories. What a blessed hope to look forward to!”these are you exact words but this again is not future to the church these prophecy are pertaining to the first coming of Christ, your exegesis is off.it was fulfilled in Christ.and is written in hebrews 8:10 For this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: here read Eze 37:26 Moreover i will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.Eze 37:27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people. the Hebrews scripture proves this is past to us but clearly a future prophecy from eze lets rightly divide this or it does damage to the truth.this is why writers of the false left behind fictional books have made the nations deceived.again dont be upset facts are facts .don’t give rebuttal submit to the truth

  37. Randall - March 11, 2012 at 8:34 am

When Jesus returns at the second coming, He destroys the nations that have come against Jerusalem. The angels take the wicked away to be cast into hell (Matt. 13:49) – those who have taken the mark of the beast. We come back with Jesus to rule and reign on the earth. There are those on the earth who have not taken the mark of the beast. These are the ones the Saints will rule over. Notice in Revelation 2:26-27 we will rule with a rod of iron. Why would we need a rod of iron if everyone we ruled over were Saints also? The answer is in Zechariah 14, a very good chapter for understanding eschatology.

Notice in Zechariah 14:16, there will be those who are left from all the nations that came against Jerusalem. It is these people we will rule and reign over. They havent taken the mark of the beast, but are not righteous. Notice that during the Millennium, when Jesus rules from Jerusalem, there will still be those who refuse to worship Him. Zechariah 14:17-19 says, “And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.” Those who dont go up to worship Jesus will be ruled with a rod of iron. In other words, it wont be fun for them. There will be no plea bargaining nor trial. Everything will be known, so the punishment will be swift and sure.

These people will have babies all during the Millennium. Just think how many people would be on the earth if there was no sickness or disease and everyone lived hundreds of years. It is these people born during the Millennium that satan will draw to him when he is released from the bottomless pit.

The Bible is clear if we believe it as it is written. God bless.

I have a question. If you wouldn’t mind, reply on here, I’ve been having difficulty accessing my email account. I have some clues and possible insight that could possibly have broken a seal, but nonetheless I am young in my journey and a simple loving mother at heart… If God has already chosen a child to be the 2nd coming son of God (keep in mind this child would still also be a son of man) born into a chosen family who do not identify with one particular race, but are in essence ”a beautiful new race of man;” now for my inquisition, if the parents both have devine feelings that their son is the future King, what would be their next step towards fulfilling his prophecy? I apologise in advance if this is a farfetched question to even present for thought by such knowledgeable, true people of our God’s word, but if you may give your own answer or opinion, I fully welcome your own personal answers if there are no know ancient printed satisfactory answers. Thank-you for your precious time, Godbless.

  39. Randall - March 15, 2012 at 3:38 pm

@Brandy – Dont worry. You didnt break any seal that is of any spiritual importance. There is only one person worthy to break the real seal mentioned in the Bible, and that person is Jesus Christ. Revelation 5:5 says, “And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.” This person is Jesus Christ, Who died for us. Revelation 5:9 says, “And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood…” Only Jesus can open the real seal. I wouldnt worry about any other seals.

The Son of God, Jesus Christ, is the one Who will be coming back at the Second Coming. Read Revelation 19:11-16.

I suggest you focus on the fact that ONLY the word of God, the Bible, is TRUTH. Nothing else is. Read your Bible, and put away all books, words and ideas from ANY other man, be he prophet, priest or king!

If there are parents that feel their son is the future king, they are wrong, and are deluded (I speak the truth – not trying to use bad words). Jesus Christ is the ONLY present and future King!! He is God, and as such, is jealous (Exodus 34:13, 20:5) and will have no other kings or gods to be throned or exalted. (see Isaiah 43:11, John 4:42, etc).

  40. tommy - March 15, 2012 at 8:27 pm

can any one show me a scripture that teaches Satan and his angels was cast out of heaven prior to the creation of adam?.and this war that took place before adam was created?

  41. Randall - March 16, 2012 at 7:45 am

@Tommy – There are no Scriptures that teaches satan was cast out of Heaven prior to the creation of Adam.

Revelation 12:3-4 says, “And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And hit tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth…” This red dragon is satan (see verse 9). But it doesnt say when it happened.

Among the verses in Ezekiel 28 that speak of Lucifer (12-19), verse 13 says, “Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God…” So Lucifer was in the Garden of Eden. This was before he sinned (verse 15), so it would have to be before he tempted Eve.

Job 38:7 says, speaking of the creation of the earth (vs 4), “When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy.” You could imply that “all the sons of God” means ALL, and therefore including satan and his angels. Which, if so, means that when God created the earth, satan, as Lucifer, was still in Heaven before his fall.

There is the false theory (the Gap Theory) that says earth was originally inhabited by Lucifer and some angels (including dinosaurs and other animals too), and then Lucifer rebelled and God destroyed the earth and then re-created the earth in 6 days. But that theory is based on a BELIEF and not Scripture. In fact, that theory goes against Scripture (see Romans 5:12 – which the Gap Theorists attribute the “one man” to be Lucifer, not Adam).

There are no verses that show anything specific about the time frame that satan and his angels were cast out of Heaven. God bless.

  42. Randall - March 17, 2012 at 7:38 am

@jacqueline – Sorry, but the Millennial reign on earth IS Biblical. You are trusting your feelings instead of the plain truth of the Bible. Here are some verses that show the Lord will reign on the earth.

“The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us continue to go and pray before the Lord, and seek the Lord of hosts. I myself will go also. Yes, many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord. Thus says the Lord of hosts; In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.” Zechariah 8:21-23
And the Lord will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land, and will again choose Jerusalem.” Zechariah 2:10-12
“Thus says the Lord: I will return to Zion, and dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, the Mountain of the Lord of hosts, the Holy Mountain.” Zechariah 8:3

“And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.” Zechariah 14:9
“And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.” Zechariah 14:16-17

“And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.” “the Lord shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.” Micah 4:2,7
“But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” Micah 5:2

“Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.” Jeremiah 23:5-6

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end. Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, ever forever.” Isaiah 9:6-7
“Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.” Isaiah 24:23

We will also reign with Him on the earth. Notice where these verses say that we will reign:
“The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.” Psalm 37:29
“And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.” Revelation 2:26-27
“And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:9-10
“Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth.” Proverbs 11:31

I hope you do believe the Scriptures AS THEY ARE WRITTEN.
    God bless.

@Randall, you’re wasting your time with Jacqueline Petrucci. She has been spreading her Ellen G. White Seventh Day Adventist false beliefs and false doctrines on this website (and others) for months. Some get deleted but she still comes back to repost to use this forum as free advertisement for her websites that are full of false theories about scripture. She says I talk a lot of hogwash, her exact words, because I stick to what is written in the bible as you do Randall. Jacqueline posted that 3 times, but the Admin here deleted it each time. @ Jacqueline Petrucci: I know you’ll be reading this, and no doubt you’ll come back here to say I’m lying like you did and have done before. Whatever your beliefs, you lie about what you really say and do, and that alone makes you someone that cannot be trusted.

    • Mike Bradley - March 17, 2012 at 8:37 pm

      Watcher,

You are correct about Jacqueline. I had banned her from the site, yet she keeps trying to come back in. The reason we banned her was because she called Hilton Sutton a “nut job.” Hilton Sutton is a very good teacher on end times and I wrote her back stating that just because someone does not agree with her views, does not make them a nut job. I told her we would not put up with those kinds of offensive statements. I also noticed she got nasty with you and a few others as well. She can now spread her venom somewhere else, but it will not be on this site.

      Mike

  44. Fleur - March 31, 2012 at 2:37 am

As Jesus does not touch earth as described by Paul – the saints meet Him in the air – could not all the Scripture used to support second coming be actually a third advent after which wicked including Satan agree God is fair?
1000 years in the heavenly home Jesus is now preparing for His friends then a triumphant return to finally end sin – from the new Jerusalem – as depicted in Psalms Isaiah and elsewhere

  45. Randall - March 31, 2012 at 2:41 pm

    @Fleur – I’ll take these one at a time.

*The wicked and satan do not say that God is fair. The Bible verse I think you might be referring to is Philippians 2:11, “And that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” There is no verse that says the wicked or satan will say that God is fair. They will only confess that Jesus is Lord, before they are thrown in the lake of fire.

*The 1,000 year home is on earth. Please see my post above.

*At the Second Coming, Jesus touches down on earth and for 1,000 years, earth will be like the garden of Eden.

For Scriptures on the 1,000 year reign of Christ on the earth, and we (the Saints) reigning with Him, see: Job 19:25-26; Psalms 37:9-11, chapter 67, chapter 72; Isaiah chapter 11, chapter 35, 65:17-25, 66:18-24; Jeremiah 31:31-37; Ezekiel 11:17-20, 34:20-31, 37:21-28, 43:1-9, chapters 44-48; Daniel 7:13,14,18,22,27; Hosea 2:16-18; Joel 3:16-21; Amos 9:11-15; Micah 4:1-7; Zechariah chapter 8, 14:9-11, 20-21, Revelation 2:26,27, etc., etc.

  46. Capecod Robbin - April 4, 2012 at 3:42 pm

“and all of the bad and unsaved people are kept in Hades (Hell) for the next 1000 years.” You said this in your statement above. Can I ask what is the purpose of those that overcame to live on earth for the 1000 years with Jesus? Why Does God chain satan up? Why doesn’t he just throw him in the lake of fire?

  47. Randall - April 4, 2012 at 8:17 pm

@Capecod Robbin – I’m not sure if you would call it our purpose, but the Saints will rule and reign with Christ on this earth for 1,000 years. I listed the verses regarding the rule and reign of the Saints in my post above (see post #39).

As for why God locks satan in the bottomless pit for 1,000 years and doesnt just throw him in the lake of fire, you will have to ask Him why when we meet Him. The answer is not given in Scripture. There are many conjectures, but that is all they are.

    God bless.

  48. Randall - April 5, 2012 at 3:35 pm

@Jacqueline – you, as many post-tribs and post-millennialists, that Christians will be deceived by the anti-Christ. You are totally in error, as ANY Christian KNOWS Christ and His attributes and such. IF we are here when the anti-Christ appears, there is no way on earth or in Heaven that true Christians will be deceived.

I’m glad you said “I think” because that is true – you think. But you give no Scripture that PLAINLY says what you believe.

I want PLAIN Scripture (not what you interpret, but what it plainly says) that says:
    *satan will be earthbound
*the earth will be a wasteland for 1,000 years
*we will reign 1,000 years in Heaven

I think you have a problem with your eyes. I gave you plenty of plain Scripture that shows the Saints will reign on the earth. You put your interpretation on those verses to make them mean whatever you want, which is against the Bible (see 1 Peter 1:20). Strange that you are blind to plain Scripture. No one is to interpret the Bible – we are to take it as it plainly says. If you interpret it, you are doing so to your detriment!!

As for Jesus dying on Wednesday, what do you think 3 days before Sunday is?
    (see Luke 24:21)

  50. Russ Columbo - June 27, 2012 at 1:03 pm

    To whom it may concern,
My name is Russ Columbo. I live in south Florida with my wife and my youngest son Rusty. My story begins Feb. 27, 2003 when Rusty at 17 years old suffered a brain hemorrhage.
I found Rusty in his bedroom laying on the floor unconscious having seizures. The fact that we found him was nothing short of a miracle itself.
At 2:00 am. I woke up out of a sound sleep with a deep feeling there was something wrong in the house. I checked all the doors and looked outside and everything seemed to be ok. I went back to bed and laid there for one hour and could not fall back to sleep. That is when I got up again and went to check Rusty and found him.
When they took him to the hospital he underwent emergency surgery for a hemorrhaged AV Malformation.
Despite only a 5% chance to live 24 hours Rusty survived. As soon as the doctor gave us the news I started to see the sign of the cross everywhere I looked. I knew then and there the only hope was to turn to God. I spent a lot of time in the chapel praying to God. I asked God to spare his life and I would use his life to give all the glory to Him.
Rusty was in a coma for nearly 3 weeks and received 3 operations to shrink the AVM. The injury to Rusty’s brain left him totally paralyzed on the right side of his body and without speech ability. Long story short by the grace of God he beat the odds and was released to a rehab facility on April 9th.
This is a great God story and the fact that the doctors at the rehab hospital told us that Rusty would be a vegetable for the rest of his shortened life he has recovered the ability to walk again with the use of a walker and is slowly regaining some limited speech.
The next several years were very difficult adapting to a new life of taking care of Rusty. I suffered 2 emotional breakdowns in 2004 and 2005. In 2005 I came to Christ and my life began to change. I began to feel as if there was hope again and I found some peace through all of this ordeal. It was about this time that I began to notice certain numbers.
It began by seeing the number 7 a lot. I would look at the clock while driving and it would be 1:07. The next time I would look it would be 1:17. I could not shake the feeling that it meant something. This went on for quite sometime. Then I began to see the number 11 a lot or combinations of numbers that added up to 11. I had a very strong feeling that these numbers were a date that God was bring to my attention. I would years later discover that through synchronicity and numerology God was sending me a message and has reveled to me the date of the Coming of Christ. The date God has revealed is 11/7/18. With great humility I boldly proclaim to be one of the two witnesses from Rev. chapter 11 verse 3&4. I have had dreams and visions of current events and post rapture events.
I know how this sounds but please know that I love the Lord with all my heart and soul and I would never do or say anything to disrespect our Heavenly Father. I have written an outline of the events that occurred in 2003 to present day to tell the rest of this incredible story which has 6 occurrences of divine intervention dating back to 11/10/07 when I witnessed the image of Jesus on my windshield. I am positive that God has given me a gift of prophecy and has made it very clear he wants me to deliver this message. I have also made three predictions from visions and dreams I had in the past 6 months that have been fulfilled.
In the past several months I have experienced the Holy Spirit come upon me after prayer in the evening. It is a very overwhelming experience.
Please take me very serious and know that I will do what ever is necessary to authenticate my story. I am sure you may have many questions for me and I would love to give you more details of each one of these events. It has taken a great deal of courage to tell this story however God has commanded me to step out in faith and do not be afraid or dismayed. The bible tells us the truth will set you free, I sure hope that is true with my story. My goal is to make my story public, write a book and form a ministry.
Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you real soon. My phone # is (754)368-5526. Glory be to God! God bless you and your organization.
    Sincerely,
    Russ Columbo

  51. Randall - June 28, 2012 at 8:52 pm

    Russ,

God’s word ONLY is truth. Nothing else! Not visions. Not dreams. Not numbers. Don’t you know the devil uses signs and wonders? Revelation 13:13, speaking of the false prophet, “And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.”

If you think you’re one of the two witnesses mentioned in Revelation 11, tell me, when is the drought going to start, because the two witnesses cause there to be no rain for 3 1/2 years (verse 6)? And when are you going to breath fire out of your mouth (verse 5)? Let me know, cause I’d like to be there. And also, tell me what kind of plagues you are going to bring on the earth (verse 6)?

I suggest you stop looking at numbers and start reading your Bible and believe your Bible ONLY!! Especially read 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, where it says satan can transform himself into an angel of light, and his angels can transform themselves into ministers of righteousness. So how are you going to know if it’s satan or God, or one of his ministers, or one of God’s ministers? Only by staying in God’s word!! Get away from these numbers, visions and dreams you are seeing. Dreams can deceive you. So can visions. Satan can send visions and dreams. Don’t trust anything that is not from the Bible!!

Oh, and since the two witnesses are here when the anti-Christ rules, tell me who he is, because he is going to kill you (Rev. 11:7).

  52. Nancy Weed - August 30, 2012 at 12:36 pm

Sorry Mr Columbo…Matt.24:36 Jesus says” no one knows the day or the hour, Not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

Read Matt. 24:42….So, You do not know the day that Your Lord is coming..

You have been distracted and deceived.

  53. dan - September 6, 2012 at 12:07 pm

    Nancy,
you are mistaken, He will only come “as a thief in the night” to those that are in darkness.

    read Thessalonians, especially 5:4:
“But ye, brethren, are NOT in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.”

what was Yahushua saying with “no man knows the day or hour”?
everyone at that time would have understood quite well because it was a part of how they lived.
    hint: moon

  54. Fleur - September 8, 2012 at 5:42 pm

Jesus does not set foot on planet earth at His first return – Paul writes very clearly that we will meet Him in the air, being caught up with those who are right now sleeping in faith

Satan is tied to this world, but he will not have any human company, as people are either dead or have been raised to life, to be with God in Heaven 1,000 years

At the THIRD advent, the Final Judgment occurs. This eradicates the effects of sin. Although we will still have free will, our choice shall ever be to obey and love God

Jesus said to be careful lest the very elect be deceived

Will you be one of the people who declare “go here, or there” to see Jesus? We all need to study Scripture and discuss – prayfully, with God’s Holy Spirit to guide us, we shall all receive truth when we study in an open way, not pulling verses to support any particular viewpoint

  55. dan - September 8, 2012 at 11:29 pm

Fleur, you are deceived because you wish to believe that you will “fly away” and not have to endure the most difficult time the world will ever know.

that is not and never has been His plan of protection. rather, his power is shown by protecting those who are His DURING the trials and tribulations.

NO WHERE does Scripture show 3 advents. you have been taught LIES. the image you have of the rapture was INVENTED be a woman only 200 years ago. i know it’s not easy, but wake up!

  56. Fleur - September 9, 2012 at 4:51 am

    Hello Dan
Persecutions and trials are part of life right now, worse in some places than others
Revelation says the devil that dragon years will be on a desolated earth for 1000 years
Thessalonians promises believers meet Jesus in the air – this is where Paul says people who are alive willbe caught up together with those believers who have died in faith
The final persecution is Satan’s last ditch stand prior to every human not with Jesus along with the devil and fallen angels being finished forever in the fire God prepares
No, I do not advocate a “flying away” to escape trials – it will be great however to see an end to all that has resulted from sin
When the Scripture says God’s Adversary will be 1000 years without human company, that is truth I believe
Or, are you a Christian who decides what God meant – putting God’s Word to effectively support one set of ideas, but ignore that which is inconvenient?
According to Jude, Enoch saw the triumphant 3rd Advent of Jesus coming to earth with the saints
    Isaiah also talks about it
As for dates, do you – or any other person – know the date of the last breath taken? Becausethe next thing you, I or anyone else who dies/”sleeps” is the return of Jesus, either in the first resurrextion to life or 1000 years later to rise only to be destroyed by the second death

  57. Randall - September 9, 2012 at 7:29 pm

    @Fleur,

I think you need to stay away from the kool-aid. The devil is not on the earth for 1,000 years. He is in the bottomless pit. Read Revelation 20:2-3,7.

  58. Fleur - September 12, 2012 at 8:06 am

    Hello Randall
The most important aspect is Revelation chapter 20 verse 15
Id your (& my) name in the Book of Life – to be part of the first resurrection?

As for the bottomless pit, where else but on earth can it be given that God has banished the Adversary to this world

By the way, my Saviour, the Jesus I know and love, would never make any kind of “smart” comment – I found your kool aid remark quite inappropriate from a Christian person

I don’t object to healthy Bible discussion on any topic

Please highlight the really important – essentials – points. The rest can be left to God’s mysterious ways

Jesus loves you – Cannot prevent God from loving you – pardon is freely given as all people fall short of divine standards

It is hard for many people to accept God loves, blesses and willingly forgives – humanity is very inward looking to self; people need God’s live, mercy and grace

Please encourage us all – believer and non-believer/seeker – to experience (more of) God’s ability as our Divine Parent and discover Jesus as our perfect Friend

Sorry about the comment, but it is just beyond me how anyone can equate the bottomless pit with the earth. Do a word search in Strong’s Concordance for the word “pit” and see where it says the pit is. Then realize the bottomless one is even more so.

I suggest you take the Bible as it says and not try to read anything into it. The bottomless pit is a pit. The earth is the earth. They do not match in any way, shape or form.

    God bless.

Fleur it is obvious you are expousing the beliefs of SDA- Seventh Day Adventists and the askewed antibiblical testimonies of their “Prophet” Ellen White.

In listening to former SDA followers who have come to the TRUE knowledge of scripture, these former Seventh Day Adventists reveal that they are taught not to question Ellen White’s “bible revelations” and they are directed to put her word ABOVE JESUS’S CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS IN THE BIBLE. You cannot deny this and if you do you are deceived!

This is blasphemy and in RANDALL’S defense this is what he meant by “Drinking the kool aid”……there should be no offense to real Christians about that.

I have been watching Randall’s comments and he has never given anything but sound solid BIBLICAL remarks based on the WORD OF GOD not Ellen White or any other false prophet.

He is correct the Bottomless Pit is a separate creation not affiliated with the Earth. Since when is the Earth bottomless anyway? We can clearly see from space the Earth has form and a shape.

Thank you for the opportunity to explore my beliefs

While God sees only 2 groups of people – those who are for and those against Him – we humans divide ourselves into many thousands of Christian denominations/groups

Jesus said to love one another, for in this way everyone will know you are My disciples. Paul wrote that nothing is worth anything without love

As John wrote the “new command” to love was not really new as God is love

    Kind regards to all

The common teaching is of a Latin ‘Millennium’, however concerning this original Greek word found in earliest manuscripts is ‘Chilioi’, and of significance found singularly only eight (8) times in the entire New Testament.

Of significance, ‘Chilioi’ found singularly w/o quantifier is found six (6) times in Rev-20:1-7, and remaining two (2) times in 2 Peter 3:8.

Chilioi w/o a quantifier (being adjective and plural-article) then reads as ‘Thousands’, and as an undefined quantity means ‘more than one’ Thousand, would translate into English as ‘Thousands (of) Years’.

Revelation 20:1-7 tells not one ‘Thousands of Years’, but two seperate Thousands of Years. The fist Thousands event is Satan cast and sealed in the abyss, the second Thousand event is Christ raising in resurrection saint that reign with him for ‘Thousands of Years’. These two events beginning in differnt time periods, lasting different time durations, ending when Satan released from the abyss, are both within this earth age, but continue in Rev-20:5-15 ending this earth age in final judgment.

Note also most read verse-5 bypassing ‘saints that judge’ (don’t you know that you will judge the world), and see only the martyred, believing only the martyred are resurrected, yet read properly both groups are resurrected, being OT ‘upright and righteous’ that were promised would be resurrected. The NT assures the saints are also (part) of this resurrection and not to see the second death.

Satan the Devil is not only in the grave/Sheol, and pit/abyss, as decribed the fall of Satan by prophet Isaiah (Isa 14:12), also assured by Paul now being restrained or held back (2 Thess 2:6), Christ attests having seen Satan fall like lightening (Luke 10:18)

Satan however with his dark or fallen angels (are) spiritually active on earth, Satans spiritual ‘kingdom of the air’ (Eph 2:2) gives significance to being on/in earth bound until released (Rev 20:7 yet to come).

  64. DeWayne E. Benson - March 8, 2013 at 5:38 pm

The Greek “Chilioi” is agreed found in earliest Rev-20 manuscripts, and is not a quantitative figure, it is simply the term “Thousands” derived from the Greek Math Theorem (Base-10, 10×3 power). No where in Rev-20 is stated “one thousand”, the quantitative for both of these ‘Thousands Years’ events (2) described in Rev-20, are found in other bible passages concerning both events… and both far exceed ‘one thousands years’.

  65. DeWayne Benson - June 30, 2013 at 9:11 am

Reading Rev 20:1-15 will find that the Lake of Sulfur or Burning Lake of Sulfur is a holding place, in which the Beast and False Prophet are cast alive, and await Satan, who also be vast… along with all wicked.
Satan is not cast into the pit as you describe (after) the Beast and False Prophet are cast into the Lake of Sulfur, Isaiah 65 clearly describes Satan cast from heaven (once only by the way), and at this time into the grave (Sheol) and the pit (abyss). Christ in His ministry advises He saw Satan fall from heaven, Paul in 2 Thess assures the people he (Satan) is being restrained (now), until the time he is to be revealed (70th Week Prophecy (events) mentioned by Christ as described by the prophet Daniel.
The Lake of Fire (God is the consuming fire) is the last place of final judgment, where before all wicked experienced Gods wrath and judgment, it is this Lake of Sulfur or Burning Lake of Sulfur, as composite called Death and Hades, being as composite cast into the Lake of Fire, said as punishment eternal.
The greatest error is calling Chilioi a ‘ONE thousand years’, Chilioi is derived from a very sophisticated Greek math theorem, from Base-10, in which 10x3rd power is the multiple (unit) of (plural) Thousands, not one thousand. Scripture validates, for Chilioi (thousands) to have a quantitative sum, the Greek will be found with additional numeric to designate the sum within Chilioi thousands.
Paul evidently chose Chilioi, used singularly without additional numeric, to indicate both Satan in abyss, and saints reigning with Christ, at that time unknown and not yet completed, as is still the case today.
This unusual case of Chilioi used singularly, is found only in 2 Peter 3:8, and Rev 20:1-6, or only eight times within the entire New Testament… found 2-times in 2 Peter 3:8, and remaining 6-times in Rev 20:1-6.
There is no ‘one’ or ‘a’ found in the earliest manuscripts of Rev 20:1-6, and ‘the’ as prefix is in no way ia number… nor does Chilioi in 2 Peter 3:8 designate an exact ‘ONE thousand years’.

The ‘deepest/bottomless pit (or) abyss’ is not hard to understand related to earth, described in scripture as that which you can see, and that which you cannot see. Meaning the natural of this earth, and the spiritual also about this earth, or as Christ advised, you will not say here it is, or there it is, because within is where you find the Holy Spirit resides, the Spiritual resides until peace one day leaves for a short time.

  67. DeWayne - July 4, 2013 at 3:02 pm

The ‘Great Tribulation’ period (1260 days) is apparent the first half of the seven years when Satan rules earth. Those yet living on earth as saints remaining faithful into the 1335 days (into second half) are gathered into heaven, described by angel to John, as souls that come out of the ‘Great Tribulations’.

  68. DeWayne Benson - August 24, 2013 at 10:29 pm

The Latin ‘Millennium’ cannot follow Tribulations, as this Tribulations (Great Tribulations) is described in Daniel and Revelation as the 70th Week prophecy when Satan is released from the abyss to rule over earth for a short time. Satan’s rule ends in being defeated and cast into the Lake of Burning Sulfur, a holding place where the Beast and False Prophet were cast earlier to await Satan. The composited of all wicked then called ‘Death & Hades’ are at last cast into the ‘Lake of Fire’… Lake of Sulfur and Lake of Fire have important difference.

The Great Tribulations described as the 1260-days (1st half of 7-year rule), and those remaining faithful into the 1335-days, remaining faithful are brought up into heaven, The angel in Revelation said, “these are they (coming out of) the Great Tribulation.

Read my linked-study on this Millennium, see if you believe as this (Millennium) is taught in Rev 20:1-7, that II Peter 3:8 then also describes an exact ‘one thousand’ years. Accredited scholar and theologian agree, Chilioi was found in earliest manuscripts of II Peter 3:8 and Rev 20:1-7, and not the Greek Chilias.

  69. DeWayne Benson - August 24, 2013 at 10:54 pm

Regarding the confusion about the word ‘pit’. The English word Hell is a singular place used to describe Sheol or the grave in the OT, where both the redeemed and unredeemed went after death of the body.

The only important teaching about this ‘pit’, regardless this place also called by many names throughout both the OT and NT of the bible, it is singularly symbolic of a spiritual location related yet to this earth. In this Sheol between the redeemed and unredeemed there is an uncrossable chasm, significant is the rich man in Sheol or grave looking (up) and seeing Abraham.

The only important difference, which one do we expect to find ourselves.

  70. Annev34 - September 22, 2013 at 4:52 am

There is something great that people can’t see.indeed Christ is coming to reign in the 1000 year messianic rule on earth but he as a flesh too is going to the grave, you may ask WHY??? Let’s discuss and you may know some of the mysteries of the bible.

  71. DeWayne - September 23, 2013 at 1:51 pm

The 70th Week prophecy of Daniel evidences the release of Satan from the abyss, followed with his last days of wars until the end. Other verse mention saints conquered by Satan during this time, in verse next line indicating their names not written in book of life, evident as those neither hot or cold that God will spit from His mouth. But verse also mention faithful into 1260 or 1290 days (depending on calendar about 3 1/2 years), that remain faithful into 1335 days (just past the first 3 1/2 years), about whom an angel tells John, “these are they coming out of the Great Tribulation (capitalized to draw attention). The Great Tribulation then being the first half of Satan’s rule, Desolations being the entire 7-years rule of Satan.
About Sheol/Hell/Hades/Etc., of this earth there is that seen, and that unseen. For instance Satan is (now) in the grave/Sheol and pit/abyss, yet is (spiritually) active on earth, called his ‘kingdom of the air… air indicating spiritual. So this earth and ‘heavens’ are not to be confused, yet exist. Important, the HS (or) Kingdom also is within at this time, but not anchored as part of this earth, because it is above, or Gods Kingdom.

  72. DeWayne - September 23, 2013 at 2:16 pm

There is no verse in the bible I am aware saying at the return of Christ (and) after Satan defeated, saying Satan is thrown into the Burning Lake of Fire for (0ne thousand or thousand) years. It is evident the Beast and False Prophet are thrown (alive) into the Lake of Sulfur before Satan, and awaited Satan, and Satan then with and all wicked end up in the Lake of Sulfur. Peace and the end of death thereafter are not limited to “one thousand years”, but as the bible tells us is for eternity. Also, since it is ‘Death and Hades’ that are at last cast into the ‘Lake of Sulfur’, it is evident the Devil known as death, and Hades as known where all unredeemed end up, are the composite called ‘Death and Hades’ being all of the wicked are destroyed by the Fire of God, and finally we are told (only) the ‘smoke of their suffering’ rises forever… and this called (eternal) punishment. As we know God does not oppress (forever) the wicked, these being remembered no more, vindictiveness appears only the nature of man.

I have a question: What is your understanding of what our relationships will be like with the people we were in fellowship with on earth when we are in the Millennium and the new Heaven and New Earth? I appreciate your site.

I thought this article gave me more detail about the Millennium Kingdom because I wasn’t sure what the kingdom was and thought maybe that Satan would only tempt those who didn’t go to heaven during the rapture. But I read this slowly and carefully and it answered my questions.

  75. DeWaybe - January 28, 2014 at 9:06 pm

There is no ‘Millennium Kingdom’, nor ‘Millennium Temple’, nor ‘Golden Age’. Christ did not say His Kingdom was on this earth, but said of another place (about this He said you know where I am going). Christ’s Kingdom existed at that time, however He made clear His Kingdom was within (saints)… saints have the HS within as guarantee for those that remain in Him. Saints reign with Christ for an eternity, not a short one thousand years. From this it is obvious the Greek ‘Chilioi’ (plural Thousands) mentioned 6-times within Rev-20, refers to the present (this earth age). Both event-times end when Satan is released from the abyss to become ruler over the earth (70th Week prophecy). By the way, the saints described will be conquered at that time, the following verse makes clear their names were not written in the book of life (neither hot not cold?).

  76. Randall - February 1, 2014 at 7:54 am

This earth lasts approximately 7,000 years. The last 1,000 years will be when Jesus reigns on the earth (see Zechariah chapter 14, Isaiah 9:7, Zechariah 6:12-13, Psalm 67:4 and hundreds of other verses). We Christians will reign with Him (Rev. 2:26-27, etc.). After the 1,000 reign of Christ, the devil is loosed out of the bottomless pit (Rev. 20:7) and he tries one last time to get as many people as he can to go to hell with him. God then destroys the wicked, the Great White Throne Judgment happens, and then God creates a new Heaven and a new Earth. Then eternity begins and there will be no more time.

  77. DeWayne - February 1, 2014 at 10:07 pm

    Re-
    Comments addressed to me:
(Statement) This earth lasts approximately 7,000 years.
(Response) The ‘Early Earth’ theory is foolishness, nor is there verse supporting it throughout the bible. Christ said we are in the ‘last hour’, if a week symbolically represents 7-years, the earth ended some time ago.

(Statement) The last 1,000 years will be when Jesus reigns on the earth (see Zechariah chapter 14,
(Responce) Zech-14 speaks of cataclysmic conditions ending in destruction of earth, describing conditions that could only be of spiritual nature at the end of this earth age, about the end Christ in returning said “I am making all things new.” No peace but wars to the end are prophesied for this old earth-age.
    (Statement Continues) Isaiah 9:7,
(Response) Isa-9 speaks of peace that will never end, wars to the end of this earth clarifies God is speaking of the new creations told of in Isaiah-65 called the New Heavens, New Earth, and New Jerusalem, where is found the Sanctuary/Temple made by the hand of God
    (Statement Continues) Zechariah 6:12-13,
(Response) Zech tells of the coming Christ, when the promised day of salvation begins with the OT upright and righteous, includes (NT) all that hear and believe are saved. This promise of peace is fulfilled in what the bible says is ‘the age to come’.
    (Statement Continues) Psalm 67:4
(Reponse) Psalms 67 tells of the entire ‘Family of God’ rejoicing in Gods Paradise, said as the New Jerusalem comes down (or revealed) out of heaven, described as nations of people. And about these nations of people previously divided, Psalms 10:16 assures this division (nations) will ‘perish from His land, the leaves of the trees in paradise said to ‘heal’ these nation/divisions… and then called the ‘Home of Righteousness.”
(Statement Continues) and hundreds of other verses)
(Response) not calling this earth the one to come, where Christ assured us He went to ‘prepare a place for us, and when He returns will take use to be where He is.
(Statement) We Christians will reign with Him (Rev. 2:26-27, etc.).
Reigning with Christ is explained in Tim 2:11-12 “Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him.” About enduring to reign with Christ we are told in 1 Thess 5:10-11 “He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him”, awake spiritually is yet within flesh body, asleep meaning death of flesh body yet spiritually alive in Christ.
(Statement) After the 1,000 reign of Christ, the devil is loosed out of the bottomless pit (Rev. 20:7)
(Response) Now let’s read Rev 20:7-9 and see what it really says:
Rev 20:7-9 “When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth-Gog and Magog-to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.” This leaves no doubt (all) wicked will be destroyed, first they are thrown back into the ‘Lake of Sulfur’, and this in composite as ‘Death and Hades’ is destroyed in the Lake of Fire.
(Statement) and he tries one last time to get as many people as he can to go to hell with him. God then destroys the wicked,
(Response) Before Christ returns (not to bear sin again but for final judgment), Satan is released to be ruler over the earth (for a short time), this ENDS the (Greek ‘Chilioi’ THOUSANDS), that many in error call ‘one thousand’ years. No where in these (Greek) verses does it say “a” or “one” thousand, and the Greek ‘Chilioi’ that scholar and theologian agree is found in Rev 20:1-6, represents the number ’10x3rd power’ representing (plural) ‘Thousands’.
(Statement Continues) the Great White Throne Judgment happens,
(Response) Correction, Christ does (NOT RETURN) until (AFTER) Satan is released from the Abyss, and WHEN Christ returns, then (after) Satan cast back into the Lake of Sulfur/Hell), now Death and Hades are destroyed in Final Judgment (in Lake of Fire).
)Statement concludes) and then God creates a new Heaven and a new Earth. Then eternity begins and there will be no more time.
(Response_ Yes, AFTER Final Judgment, when (all) wicked “Death & Hades” are cast into the ‘Lake of Fire’ and destroyed, this begins “The Age To Come” with the new creations of the New Heaven, New Earth, and the New Jerusalem (OF HEAVEN… Gods Paradise).
