ne of the more frequent type of emails we have received over the years since we have been online is from married couples, where one of the spouses has left the other one for another partner. The one spouse who has been left behind then starts praying to God to bring their spouse back home.

The pain adultery causes in a marriage relationship is extreme and traumatic, as a broken heart is one of the worst kinds of pain you can go through. For those of you who have been on the receiving end of adultery, you know exactly what I am talking about. You feel like your whole world has been shattered and that you will never be able to trust your spouse again, even though you are asking God to bring your mate back to you as you cannot stand the pain of that broken heart.

For those of you who are still praying to the Lord for the restoration of your marriage, below is a powerful testimony we have just received from a woman by the name of Crystal. Crystal had what she thought was the perfect marriage when all of a sudden her husband tells her one day he wants out of the marriage, as he had been having an affair with a woman online.

As you will see when reviewing her testimony below, Crystal was determined she was not going to lose her good marriage over something like this, so she stormed the throne of God asking Him to move to bring her husband back. Here is her word-for-word testimony, and then I will point out a few key things she did to get God to move on this extreme situation.

My name is Crystal and I’m here to let you know that with man it may seem impossible……but with Almighty God…..NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE…

I made a promise to God and to myself that WHEN he restored my marriage, I would testify and tell the world….I would share EVERY single detail no matter how shameful and embarrassing it would be, in the hope and knowledge that I would someday be able to bring some kind of hope for a hurting wife or husband who would’ve been going through what I once was.

I’ll try to be as brief as possible but I really don’t want to leave any detail out….no matter how small, because it may be the very thing God wants to use to inspire and encourage a stander or prodigal spouse.

I don’t want to apportion blame too much here but suffice it to say we had some in-law issues which contributed greatly to our demise….but that is another story and I want to concentrate on how God showed up and showed off in the mist of my situation. Today is March 16th 2011…. My husband of 1 year and 5 months left me on November 30th, 2010… .BUT…. all thanks and all praise be to Almighty God, he is now back home and we are rebuilding a marriage that from all counts and to the naked eye in the natural realm was dead.

As far as I could see we were the perfect couple……went out together…….stayed home together……laughed, joked……..we were like two peas in a pod……of course we had our regular marital problems….no marriage is perfect……..in addition to the above we also….. argued and sometimes told each other some harsh words…….LIKE EVERY OTHER COUPLE……it isn’t right but it happens…..

In spite of all this , I believed he loved me just as much as I loved him……you could imagine my surprise and heart break when one day after a short disagreement……and I mean short….lasting no more that a few minutes…..my beloved husband packed his clothes and walked out of my life…….

All this happened on Nov 30th 2010…..I held off from calling him because I was still upset and I figured I didn’t do him any harm…..he was the one that stepped out in our marriage and on our marriage…..ours wasn’t a physical stepping as in outside sex….it was an on-going 5 month relationship on the internet, with someone he had been previously involved with.

The days went by and he didn’t call so on December 5th 2010….I called him…..he refused to take my calls so I texted him only to be told that he wasn’t interested in me and I should go on with my life….that I should never call or text him again……..that was like a dagger through my heart……I felt as though someone had literally ran a knife straight through my stomach and was twisting it repeatedly…..but that isn’t the worse yet…..

I persisted in calling him that same day and eventually he picked up the phone…he was as cold as ice……I felt frightened even listening to him……he told me….I NEVER LOVED YOU……I AM SORRY WE GOT MARRIED…..I FELT TRAPPED IN THIS MARRIAGE…..I DON’T LOVE YOU LIKE A MAN SHOULD LOVE A WOMAN…..THE FEELINGS I HAVE FOR YOU IS THAT OF A “GOOD” FRIEND……I DON’T WANT TO BE WITH YOU AND YOU SHOULD GET ON WITH YOUR LIFE…..I’M
NOT COMING BACK…….

I have never felt pain like I did then in my entire life……..it is amazing when you are down on luck how quickly you remember that GOD does exists.

I was a regular church goer and I tithed but I still didn’t have that personal relationship with God…..well God has a way of getting our attention in ways unimaginable….and he got mine.

I cried DAILY AND HOURLY……I felt all hope was gone….I mean how do you get someone to love you again when that person is saying I never loved you at all…..YOU CANT….BUT GOD CAN……

I had built my life around my husband and now he was gone……I felt like I lost the better part of me…..I couldn’t eat….I couldn’t eat ….I didn’t want to socialize and I forced myself to go to work…..but God had a plan…….even though all seemed lost……God was turning my situation around even as I was hurting…..what the devil meant for evil God was turning around for good.

I enlisted the help of three persons…….a Prophetess, an Apostle, and a church Pastor…..these were all spiritual people I knew……and strong men and women of God……I knew I wasn’t strong in my spirit and my faith was way less than even that of a mustard seed.

I still cried every day but I also engaged in some radical and spiritual warfare for my husband…..I spoke the word of God over my marriage EVERYDAY and I prayed hedges of thorns around my husband EVERYDAY…..I pleaded the blood of Jesus over him and claimed my marriage in the name of Jesus.

Remember I wasn’t rooted in God so my prayers wasn’t as flowing as other people but everyday I gain more and more strength and my faith began to soar…..I prayed that God would soften my husband’s heart and remind him of the love we once shared……I asked God to send Godly people in his life to speak to him even when I couldn’t and God heard me….

I think I either bought or borrowed every book on marriage…warfare….prayer…you name it ….every website I could think of…….. And I just wrapped my husband up and prayed what ever pray I could even verbatim from some of those same books…….I became like a one man army…..

At times the devil whispered in my ears and unbelief and doubt settled in….I would call my prayer warriors for encouragement and go to God crying and in a few hours would be right as rain and ready again to go up against the gates of hell for my boo. To make a long story short……Sunday January 16th 2011….I got a text from my husband….who accidently had AGAIN on the 14th January 2011…..told me he felt the same way and I should go on with my life.

He said he wanted to talk and wanted to know if he could come by the house…he wanted to know if I could forgive him for what he did and for us to try again at our
marriage…

I had released my husband and my marriage to God and I knew God was going to do something…. but I thought it would be perhaps a Hi hello…how are you….or perhaps a few weeks down the line he might drop in a call or something……….I had no idea that MY GOD was bringing my husband home that day….that instant…

He told me that after he spoke to me on Thursday….he went to God himself and talked to him and asked him to speak and show him what he should do……..he said from the time he said that everything just went crazy…..everything he saw reminded him of me….. when he went to sleep his dreams were constant replays of our life together….. he started thinking about stuff that happened before and after our marriage that were nothing short of miraculous…..

In short…..God was speaking to him all along but he was too proud to just walk back and admit that he was wrong but he wanted to so much….. He wanted to give our marriage a chance and he loved me and wanted to be with ME.

I give all the thanks and praise to God for what he did……it doesn’t matter what your situation looks like….it doesn’t matter how impossible and dead it seems……it doesn’t matter what your husband or wife is planning……..we plan but God is also planning and he works EVERYTHING out together for those that love the LORD..

DO NOT GIVE UP….THE DEVIL AND EVEN YOUR OWN MIND IS GOING TO TRY TO TELL YOU TO MOVE ON…LEAVE HIM/HER ALONE…HE/SHE DOESN’T WANT YOU…..THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO…..THERE IS NO ONE THAT CAN HELP YOU NOW…..DO NOT LISTEN……even in your tears….cry out to God….when you don’t know what to say…..just say JESUS….nothing more……tears is a language God understands and he is going to work it out…..

This isn’t every single detail of what happened there are parts missing…but my short journey has been nothing but incredible and miraculous…but I want you to know that with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE…

Be encouraged

Notice several key things Crystal did to get God to move on her behalf.

1. The first thing she did was to fully surrender the entire matter into God’s hand. Notice she said she had faith less than the size of a mustard seed when she first started to approach the Lord for His help.

As we have showed you in our article titled, “Bible Verses on Faith,” the Bible tells us that faith the size of a mustard seed will move mountains. This means that you do not have to have large amounts of faith with the Lord to get the show going with Him. God will take whatever level of faith you are operating at with Him and then move to help you out with your current situation as long as you are directly seeking after His help and are willing to fully surrender the entire matter into His hands.

2. The next thing she did right was to enlist the aid of three powerful prayer warriors to help her with her prayers to the Lord. This is what is called the prayer of agreement. We already have an article on how powerful of a strategy this is with the Lord. The title of this article is, “Prayer Secret #6 – The Prayer of Agreement.”

3. Also notice she went into a very heavy seeking mode by searching out every good book she could find on marriage, prayer, and spiritual warfare. The Bible says to “seek” and then you will find what you are looking for. And this woman went into a very heavy seeking mode. I believe when God sees this kind of intense seeking activity, He is really moved, and sometimes that is what will get Him to move to answer the prayer.

4. Another thing she did when she went on the offensive was to plead the blood of Jesus around the situation. If you have a spouse that has left you for another person, it would be our recommendation to plead the blood of Jesus around them, and then plead the blood of Jesus against any demons who are trying to get in the middle of this, along with pleading the blood of Jesus directly against the person they are having the affair with.

All in all, as you read her incredible testimony, the thing that stands out is her fierce determination that she was not going to let her marriage go, and that she would take a hold of God and keep praying to Him until He brought her husband back home to her.

We want to personally thank Crystal for allowing us to release her testimony on our site, as it will help show others that God can move to restore broken marriages, no matter how hopeless things may look in the natural.

Special Message for Pastors

For what it is worth, we thought we would send out this very special message to all of the pastors who are in both the US and the other countries of the world. My brother Chris and I have a very special friend by the name of Patricia Lotich.

Patricia was raised up by the Lord with a very strong business anointing to help churches run the business side of their ministries. 10 years ago she was led by the Lord to one of the biggest Spirit-filled, non-denominational churches in the St. Louis area.

She worked for this big church for 10 years and ran the entire business side of this ministry. She put organizational systems in place and help turn this part of the ministry around so the pastor was free to concentrate on all of his other duties.

Patricia had the title of chief operating officer and business administrator when she held this very important job. She also has an MBA and is a certified manager of quality/organizational excellence through the American Society for Quality.

Patricia says she has a passion to teach church leaders practical business concepts to help them better manage the resources God has given them which is people, time and money. Many pastors are highly anointed in their preaching and teaching, but sometimes fall short on how to run the business side of their ministries.

We feel God has raised up a very special woman with a very strong anointing in this area. In the future, we believe God will be bringing in a great harvest, and many of the churches are going to have to learn how to run the business side of their ministries more effectively if they are going to be able to handle many more people coming into their churches.

Patricia has now left this church, as her mission from the Lord had been fully completed. The Lord has now led Patricia to start a full time venture where she will now work as an independent consultant, helping any churches that will need help in running the business side of their ministries.

Patricia lives here in the US, but she is willing to travel abroad to any other countries, along with traveling to any churches here in the US that need help in this area.

If you are a pastor and you feel you need help in running the business side of your ministry and would like to talk with Patricia to see how she might be able to help you, you can reach her direct at:

Contact Pat Lotich

314-229-4147

Her website address is:

www.smartchurchmanagement.com

You will find a lot of useful information on her website on what her ministry is all about and how she can help you in this area. Smart Church Management offers consulting services in all aspects of church management including strategic planning, goal development, performance management and employee/volunteer management – basically how to manage the business side of a ministry.

Again, this woman comes with our highest recommendation, as I have known her for over 40 years and have seen God personally raise her up in this incredible anointing.

If by chance you are the member of a church and you feel your pastor needs some help in running the business side of this ministry, please feel free to pass this newsletter on to your pastor.

<h2 style="text-align"center;">The Dangers of Ghost Hunting

s many of you know, there has been a noticeable increase in the number of TV shows showing people ghost hunting.

What these people are doing are investigating houses that are supposed to be haunted with some kind of spirits. They then move in with all of their recording equipment trying to capture proof of these spirits in the house with their equipment.

As Christians, is this kind of activity safe to do? For the record, we do not believe Christians should be engaging in this kind of activity unless the Lord Himself is guiding you to do this in order to cast these evil spirits out of the house they are inhabiting.

As we have said before in many of the articles in our Spiritual Warfare section, you should not directly engage with demons unless the Lord Himself is directly authorizing you to do this for Him. God is our Commander-in-Chief, and we need to take our orders direct from Him just like good soldiers do in our military. There is a chain-of-command in the Body of Christ and God and Jesus are the Ones we are to take our orders from.

If we step behind enemy lines, which is what you are doing once you step foot into these types of haunted houses, you could break your hedge of protection with the Lord if He is not directly authorizing you to be doing this in the first place. Many of the people who are ghost hunting in these haunted houses are not Christians. As a result, they could easily open themselves up to heavy demonic attack as a result of seeking after these evil spirits, trying to capture some of them on their recording equipment.

As we have said before, what gets people into major trouble is seeking into Satan’s territory where he and his demons roam and operate in. Step foot into Satan’s
territory without a direct order from the Lord to be doing so, and you could end up with no protection and thus open up both yourselves and your entire family to major demonic attacks.

I have personally never met anyone who actively engages in ghost hunting, but I have seen where other deliverance ministers have. What they have found out with some of them is that the demons will follow some of them home and from there, start to attack both them and some of the members of their own family. One man in particular was on the verge of suicide when God led a Christian his way to explain what had been attacking him.

Once he found out that it was demons who were trying to get him to take his own life, and that what drew this kind of demonic attack into his life was him engaging in ghost hunting, he quickly repented, accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, and from there, was able to receive a full-scale deliverance from the demons who were attacking him.

Again, doing any type of ghost hunting is just as dangerous and deadly as playing with a ouija board or seeing a psychic. The common denominator in all of these kinds of activities is that you are directly seeking into Satan’s territory where he is operating and playing in.

Seek – and you will make direct contact with these demons. And once you make direct contact with them, they will come after you with a full-scale attack. That is why any form of ghost hunting is so dangerous, because you are trying to make direct contact with these demonic spirits.

In our Spiritual Warfare section, we have three bone-chilling testimonies of people who drew heavy demonic attacks into their lives as a result of engaging with a ouija board, automatic writing, and trying to record UFO phenomena.

What gets some of these people into trouble is thinking they are chasing after ghosts, who they think are dear departed loved ones who are still trapped in the house. What they do not know is that these ghosts are really demons masquerading as these dear departed loved ones.

When people die, they either go straight to heaven or straight to hell. They are not allowed to hang around in the houses they may have died in. As a result, any kind of strange spiritual activity going on in these types of haunted houses is being done by demonic spirits.

Here is a very good verse telling us that we are not to “seek” after familiar spirits and if we do, we will be “defiled” by them. Many of these ghost hunters are trying to speak directly to these spirits, trying to get them to respond back to them in some way. As a result, they are in direct violation of this Scripture verse.

“Give no regard to mediums and FAMILIAR SPIRITS; DO NOT SEEK AFTER THEM, TO BE DEFILED BY THEM: I am the Lord your God.” (Leviticus 19:31)

I will now leave you with a very interesting video I pulled off from Pat Robertson’s CBN site. The woman who is giving her riveting testimony was raised up as a Christian. Then over the course of her life, she started to practice witchraft, thinking that she could combine both her Christianity and witchcraft. She made the comment that she simply chose to ignore the warnings in the Bible about anyone engaging in witchcraft.

From there, she stepped into the arena of ghost hunting. As she was investigating a haunted house one day, she said she knew there was a demonic spirit in the house. As soon as she felt its evil presence, she said she had a strong knowing from the Lord to directly cast it out of the house in the name of Jesus. She did, and when she did, she captured on her recording equipment what sounded like a demon screaming as soon as she told it to leave the house in the name of Jesus.

Once she realized that these were really demons in these kinds of houses, and that only the name and power of Jesus could drive them out, she quickly repented before the Lord with her involvement in both the witchraft and ghost hunting, as she knew now that God’s Word should be taken very literally on these kinds of matters.

She said she had been totally deceived by these demons during the entire time she was in the witchcraft and ghost hunting. She now goes around warning people about the dangers in engaging in these kinds of occult activities.

Please feel free to pass this great video onto your family and friends and anyone else you know who is thinking about engaging in this kind of occult activity. Here is the video:

<h2 style="text-align"center;">Powerful Video Showing the Development of a Baby From Conception to Birth

hey say a picture is worth a thousand words. In this article, I want to give you a very dramatic and powerful video showing you the development of a fetus in the mother’s womb starting from conception to actual birth.

Many people have changed their positions from pro-choice to pro-life once they have seen what a fetus really looks like inside the mother’s womb.

This video is from a man by the name of Alexander Tsiaras. He is an image-maker and the author of a book titled, “From Conception to Birth: A Life Unfolds.” He put together an amazing video showing what a fetus actually looks like at the different stages of its development inside the mother’s womb.

Once you see the graphic images of his video, there is simply no other conclusion we can come to other than life begins at the moment of conception, and that we are truly dealing with a real, live, human baby as it is miraculously growing inside the mother’s womb.

This growing and developing baby is not just a mass of undifferentiated cells. This fetus is a real, live, human baby given to us straight from the hand of God Himself and as such, we should never have it terminated because we may not like the set of circumstances it may have to be born into.

If you know of anyone who is still pro-choice, you may want to consider forwarding this article to them with this dramatic video, as these visual images are the real thing and clearly show how the different parts of the human anatomy are clearly developing right in the middle of a woman’s pregnancy.

Comments on the Joe Paterno Case

his article is being typed up on 11/9/11. I am sure many of you have heard of the big national scandal that has just erupted over Penn State University and their big time football program. Joe Paterno, who is the head coach of Penn State University, has now been fired, along with the president of this University.

For those of you who are not aware of what has just transpired, long story short, one of the defensive coaches of this team has been indicted by a grand jury for molesting 8 young boys between the ages of 8-13 over a 15 year period.

What has so many people upset is that back in 2002 one of the graduate assistants saw this defensive coach molesting a young 10 year old boy right in the middle of one of their locker room showers. The graduate assistant immediately went home and told his father about what he had seen.

Then he and his father told coach Joe Paterno about it. From there, Joe reported the incident to two of his superiors, with one of them being the athletic director. From there it went to the president of the University. And what happened after all this was reported up the chain-of-command? Absolutely nothing. None of these men reported the incident to the local police. They chose instead to try and cover it up so their University and football program would not be damaged and tarnished by this kind of extreme scandal.

What has people upset at Joe Paterno is they felt he should have done more than what he did once he had received the initial allegations from his graduate assistant. Joe has just released a statement saying in hindsight, he wished he would have done more about it at the time he had received these allegations.

As Christians, there is something we can really all learn from this sad and tragic story. Penn State University has one of the biggest football programs in the country. Millions of dollars are flowing through this University due to its big and successful football program. For those of you who know about Joe Paterno, he is considered a legend among college football coaches.

It is quite obvious that the reason no one reported this incident to the police for proper investigation is due to the fact that they did not want their reputation and integrity damaged and ruined as a result of this kind of scandal – especially with the perpetrator being one of their very own successful defensive coaches who had helped lead them to several national titles, along with some of these molestations actually occurring right in the middle of their own locker room showers.

Many feel Joe should have reported this matter to the local police himself once he found out that the athletic director and president of the University were not going to do it. Once he had received those graphic allegations from his graduate assistant, he should have taken the bull-by-the-horns and reported this matter immediately to the local police so they could conduct a proper investigation.

But since Joe did not follow up any further with these allegations, this man has probably molested more young boys before he was finally arrested, not to mention that he himself has now been fired, along with the president of the University and the 2 supervisors he had initially reported the incident too. Joe Paterno was the main man on this campus. He had more than enough clout, power, and authority to properly follow up on this matter if his higher-ups were not going to do it.

As the coach and leader of one of the biggest college football programs in the country, Joe had a duty and a obligation to protect the young boy this man had been molesting, especially since this man was one of his own coaches working directly for him. This was all occurring under his watch, and as the coach and leader of this football team, he should have stepped forward, taken the bull-by-the-horns and did the right thing, which was to report this matter immediately to the local police so they could set up a proper investigation.

As Christians, we are all called to be good soldiers of Jesus Christ. And as good soldiers of Jesus Christ, we need to come to the aid and defense of young boys and girls who are being sexually molested once we have knowledge this kind of heinous crime is being committed.

To turn a blind eye to this kind of evil crime because we do not want to get personally involved, or we do not like the consequences of what this kind of crime could unleash, is no excuse to turn away from it once we are directly faced with it.

The Bible says that the wages of sin will be death. And look what kind of death has just occurred because these 4 men did not do the right thing once they had the knowledge as to what was going on with their defensive coach:

Head Coach Joe Paterno has just been fired

The President of the University has just been fired

Joe’s two direct superiors were let go, along with both of them being indicted by the grand jury for perjury and not reporting this incident to the police

And the University will now have to deal with the stain of this scandal for many more years to come, not to mention all of the civil lawsuits that will end up being filed against them

And all of this could have easily been prevented right at the outset if these 4 men would have simply done the right thing and reported this incident to the police. Had they done so, they probably would have been looked upon as being real heroes. Now they have all lost their jobs and possibly the good reputations they used to have.

I will leave you with one last thought on this case:

What would Jesus Christ, King David, and Joshua have done had they been in the positions of these 4 men? Do you think they would have kept this crime all to themselves so they could protect the University and their big-time, money-making football program? Or do you think they would have taken this bull-by-the-horns and reported this crime to the local police so they could stop this predator from molesting any more boys?

I think we all know what Jesus, David, and Joshua would have done. They would have immediately come to the aid and defense of these young boys, and would have directly engaged with this man and would have stopped him dead in his tracks so he could not hurt any more young boys.

These 4 men had a chance to become real heroes, but because they did not do the right thing for fear of losing money to their football program and University, they will now go down as moral cowards who did not have the courage and bravery to do the right thing.

And Joe Paterno was really big on teaching his football players about ethics and morality. But when it came down for him to do the right thing on this matter once he had full knowledge of it, he simply dropped the ball. Now people will forever remember how he went out as a coach. His records will now have a black mark and stain on them that will never go away.

As Christians, we have to really be grounded in God’s Word and know how to be led by the Holy Spirit so we can make the right decisions in this life. Not making the right decision on this matter has cost these 4 men dearly. Let this sad and tragic story be a major lesson for all of us.

If any of you ever come across strong evidence that young boys or girls are being sexually molested like what had occurred in this case, again, report this kind of crime to the local police so they can set up a proper investigation. If you do not report what evidence you may have received, you have no idea how many more young boys or girls could continue to be molested by this person – all because you did not have the bravery and courage to at least report this crime to the police.

Again, what would Jesus do if He was down here and had enough evidence of this kind of crime occurring? I think we all know what He would do – and as followers and disciples of Jesus we should all do the exact same thing.

These 4 men did not do what Jesus would have done, and as a result, they will leave this University with a black mark and stain on their careers and reputations that will last for the rest of their earthly lives.

In the meantime, please pray for the children that were molested by this man if these charges end up being true, and all of the students at Penn State University so that healing and restoration can occur for what has just occurred.

If this case does nothing else, it should help raise public awareness of child molestation, and that we not turn a blind eye to it or refuse to engage with it when we do see it occurring in our own circle of influence.

I will now leave you with one verse that will sum up what should have been done by these 4 men at Penn State:

“Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” (James 4:17)

Do Not Fear Demons!

or those of you who want to learn how to war directly against demonic spirits, whether they be attacking you direct or someone else you are going to want to help out, the very first thing you are going to need to get a strong grip on is what I call the fright factor.

The first thing demons will try and do with you once you attempt to come directly against them in the name of Jesus is to try and literally scare the pants right off you. And unless you know who you really are in your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they may just be able to scare you away from being able to cast them off either yourself or someone else you are attempting to deliver from their evil grip.

Over the years, I would say at least 75% of all the Christians I have met would simply be too afraid to directly engage with any demons if they ever came across them in this life.

Even though they already knew they had the power of the Holy Spirit on the inside of them to be able to directly engage and totally defeat any demons who would come against them, they said just the fear alone of having to deal with that kind of pure evil would simply be too much for many of them, and they would prefer to let someone else do this kind of work for the Lord.

As a result, the Body of Christ has a major shortage of Christians who really know how to deliver someone from demons. Over and over again, we keep receiving emails from people all over the world who are looking for help in this area, and they literally cannot find one single person close to where they live at, including many of the local churches they are still attending.

And I have to believe that one of the main reasons they cannot find anyone in their areas is because too many Christians are simply too afraid to do this kind of work for the Lord, even though Jesus Himself has told us in the Great Commission command that He wanted all of us to cast out demons when it will be needed.

To those of you who are too afraid to directly engage with any demons, let me use this article to give you 17 very profound and powerful verses from our Bible that will show you that you literally, and I mean literally, have nothing to fear if you ever had to directly engage with any demons in this life.

Even though you already know about some of the other verses in the Bible about having no fear in your walk with the Lord, what you need to know in this realm so you do not let major fear overtake you and paralyze you is exactly why you should have no fear of any demon. And this is exactly what these verses are going to give you – exactly why you should have no fear of any demon, no matter how big, nasty, and evil he may be.

The Bible says the truth will set you free – but you first have to know exactly what that truth is and fully understand that truth it before it will be able to set you completely free. And these 17 very special verses will be giving you this major divine truth direct from the Lord Himself so His truth can set you free from any major fears you may have on engaging with any demons in this life.

Again, we do not want to try and place any major guilt trips on anyone for not wanting to do this kind of work for the Lord, but we have seen first-hand what demons can do to people once they launch a full-scale attack against them. In the Testimonies Section of our site, we have several bone-chilling accounts of demons trying to get 4 people to take their own lives.

Two cases in particular are “Suicide Attack#2″ and “Suicide Attack on a 6 Year Old Girl.”

In both of these cases, demons were trying to get a 6 year old girl and a young teenage girl to take their own lives. And had their own mothers not stepped into the gap and directly engaged with these demons, they might have been able to get one or both of these girls to actually take their own lives, as the pressure they were applying on both of these girls was very severe.

In the testimony titled, “Suicide Attack #2,” the mother told me she was scared to death of having to deal direct with any demons. But when her daughter came up to her one day and told her she was hearing voices inside of her head telling her to kill herself, and then she goes the next step and literally starts cutting on herself with a knife, her mother knew she had no other alternative but to directly engage with these demons, since the girl’s natural father was no longer around to do this.

In both of these cases, the demons were driven off both these girls very quickly and very easily on the very first attempt by both mothers. That is how much power and authority we have in Jesus, and that is why we should never be afraid to directly engage with these demons when they do move in for an attack on someone.

With the 4 suicide attack testimonies we have just in our site alone, I have to seriously wonder – how many Christians are being taken home way too early in this life, all because they either did not know how to directly engage with the demons who were attacking them, or they were just simply too afraid to do it in the first place.

The Bible tells us that before the devil will flee from us, that we have to “resist” him. Resisting the devil means you stand and hold your ground, and directly fight and engage with him. You do not sit there and let him beat you down.

The apostle Paul himself could not have said it any better when he told us that we do not “wrestle” against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, which are demons and demon powers. And again, notice the key word he is using in this verse – that we have to “wrestle” against these demons, which once again means we have to fight and directly engage with them once they start to come after us.

Once again, here are these two, key, powerful verses so you can see very clearly what the Lord wants all of us to do when having to face any demons in this life.

“Therefore submit to God. RESIST THE DEVIL and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

“For we do not WRESTLE against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)

If Jesus is giving us His divine power and authority to cast out demons, then you know this is something we should not be afraid to do for Him when it will need to be done.

The Scripture Verses

For those of you who are battling any kind of major fear on dealing with demons, let me give you these 17 very special verses that will fully explain for you why you should not have any major fear of demons. If and when you ever have to directly engage with any demons, pull these verses out and really study and meditate on them.

Get the knowledge and revelation they are giving you worked into your mind and belief system with the Lord, so you will have no doubt that you are already dealing with a defeated foe. Demons will have absolutely no power against you if you know who you really are in Jesus, and are not afraid to use the power and authority that He has already given to you.

I will go ahead and run all of these powerful verses together, and then I will point out to you exactly what the Lord is trying to show you. Even though many of these verses are in some of our other articles, I wanted to put all of them together just for this type of article since so many Christians have a major fear of dealing with demons.

Key in on the first 5 verses, as they completely set the stage for all of us in the area of spiritual warfare with demonic spirits. These first 5 verses are the most important of all, as they will show you that Satan and all of his demons are now defeated foes before the Lord. And if all demons are already defeated foes before the Lord, then we should have absolutely no fear in directly engaging with them.

“… that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.” (Hebrews 2:14)

“For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)

“Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” (Colossians 2:15)

“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:13)

“Therefore God has also highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven and of those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:5-11)

“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe. In my name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues, they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.” (Mark 16:15-18)

“But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” (Matthew 10:6-8)

“And He called the twelve to Him, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits … And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them.” (Mark 6:7,13)

“And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.” (Matthew 10:1)

“Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.” (Luke 9:1)

“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts. (Zechariah 4:6)

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

“For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit …” (1 Thessalonians 1:5)

“For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.” (1 Corinthians 4:20)

“… in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God …” (Romans 15:19)

The revelation these verses are giving us is what I call major one plus one equals two type revelation. Here are the 3 key pieces of revelation the Lord is trying to convey to us in these 17 powerful verses.

1. The first 5 verses simply say it all. These first 5 verses are the ones you are going to have to have underneath your belt if you are going to attempt to engage with any demons in this life. If you do not have a full understanding of these first 5 verses, then major fear and panic could literally overtake you if you try and take these demons head on without first realizing that Jesus has already defeated all of these demons with His sacrificial death on the cross.

If you do not see and realize that you are dealing with an already defeated foe, then major fear and anxiety could overwhelm you right in the middle of an actual battle with these demons, and you may then be forced to retreat and back down, all because you did not know what you already had with Jesus.

Many of these demons are very intelligent, and they will test you and call your bluff to see if you really know who you are in Christ. If you do not know what you already have available to you, these demons could then play you and drive you right out of the battle.

The very first verse says it all when it tells us that Jesus literally destroyed all the power that the devil has over people with His death on the cross. The 2nd verse says that Jesus literally destroyed the works of the devil. Key on the word “destroy.”

When the Bible says that Jesus Christ literally destroyed the works of the devil, this is the most intense and extreme word the Bible can use to tell us exactly what had occurred right after Jesus had died on the cross.

When Jesus destroyed the works of the devil, you know it means total and complete destruction and annihilation of Satan and all the supernatural works he is capable of throwing at us. That is why demons are no match for any born-again believer who knows who they are in Christ, and who knows how to wield the Word of God as their Sword. That is why Satan and his demons will flee from you once you start to directly engage with them under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

The third verse adds more to this when it tells us that Jesus totally “disarmed” principalities and powers, which again are referring to demons and their powers. The word “disarmed” is another very powerful word being used by the Lord to show us what had occurred when He died on the cross for all of us. When God uses the word “disarmed,” we are again talking complete and total disarmament of all the supernatural works and powers these demons are capable of throwing at us.

The 4th verse ends it very nicely when it tells us that we have flat out been totally delivered from the powers of darkness.

As a result of Jesus’ death on the cross, we all get to receive the Holy Spirit on the inside of us once we accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior. And once we receive the Holy Spirit on the inside of us, we will now have His supernatural power available to us to defeat any and all demons who will try and come against us in this life, as demons are cast out of people by the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

As such, no Christian should ever let any demons keep attacking and beating up on them since we already have the Holy Spirit and His divine power on the inside of us to totally defeat and drive out any demons who may come against us.

The 5th verse will now be the icing on the cake. This verse is telling us that every single knee shall bow before Jesus Christ – and this literally includes every single person on the earth and every single demon below the earth. This now makes Satan and all of his demons totally defeated foes before the Lord, and they now have absolutely no power against Jesus and every single born-again believer who has been saved through His name and His blood.

Burn these first 5 verses in your memory banks so you do not let major fear ever get the better of you in any encounter you may have with a demonic spirit. Again, I cannot emphasize enough the power that is on these first 5 verses and the revelation the Lord is trying to transmit to all of us.

Bottom line – Satan has already been TOTALLY DEFEATED and TOTALLY DISARMED by Jesus when He died on the cross for all of our sins. Satan and his demons are thus already defeated foes, and they are absolutely no match against any Christian who knows how to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, and who knows how to wield the Word of God as his Sword.

2. Verses 6 and 7 are the next two major power verses you will need underneath your belt to be able to successfully engage with demons. The first one is the one I have already mentioned at the top of this article. This verse tells us that if we submit to God, then the devil will actually flee from us if we resist him.

The 2nd verse then adds some more meat to this revelation when it tells us that the Lord has given us His direct authority and power to trample over serpents and scorpions. And demons are definitely serpents and scorpions. As such, we already have God’s power available to us to be able to totally defeat these demons when we do run across them in this life.

Notice Jesus also says in this verse that we will have His power and authority to trample over “all” the power of the enemy, and that “nothing” shall be able to hurt us. The words “all” and “nothing” are maximum intense type words being used by the Lord. As such, we should not be afraid to step into God’s divine power and use it when we will need it against these demons.

3. The last set of verses from 8-17 are all telling us one major thing – and that one major thing is that we all have the power of the Holy Spirit operating on the inside of us to be able to work for the Lord in this lifetime. And one of the works the Lord would like us to do from time to time is to directly engage and cast demons out of whatever situation we may find them involved in.

Remember – demons are cast out of someone by the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Conclusion

Again, if there are any of you being forced to engage with any kind of demons, and you are dealing with major fear on doing it, really study and meditate on the above 17 verses. These words are all coming direct from the Lord Himself, and you can totally count on this type of revelation being pure, 100%, solid truth since all of the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of our Holy God.

These 17 special verses are the absolute, bottom-line, basic truth on this entire subject matter, and this divine truth should help set you free from any major fears you may be having on engaging with demons.

Bottom line:

If Jesus is telling us that He has already defeated Satan and all of his dark supernatural powers with His death on the cross.

And then He tells us that we will have His divine power and authority to trample over and defeat this type of enemy.

And then He ends up telling us to actually go out and cast demons out of people – then we should have absolutely no fear in doing this kind of work for the Lord since He is directly commissioning us to do it for Him, along with anointing us with His divine supernatural power to be able to get the job done.

This is why we as Christians should have no fear of any demons – and should have no fear of doing this type of work for the Lord.

Are Christians Allowed to Curse Their Enemies?

e just recently received an email from one of our readers. The question she had asked us was whether or not we as Christians could curse someone else for something wrong they were doing to us. The reason she was asking this question was due to something she heard her own pastor do in one of his services.

Long story short, they had some problems with several women in their church. These women then left the church and started to bad-mouth the pastor and his church to others on the outside. Then at one of their Sunday services the pastor commented on what was occurring with these women, and then made the comment “to let everything they were saying come back on their head 100 times and everything be returned back upon them. “

Our reader was not comfortable with this kind of statement her pastor was making, and she then wrote in asking if this was a form of cursing and if so, whether or not he should be doing something like this. We wrote her back and told her we did feel this was a form of cursing and that he should not be doing something like this.

I have also heard some very well-known TV preachers over the years do something similar and again, I was never comfortable with this kind of rhetoric, as I felt they were crossing a line into actually cursing those who were trying to do them wrong.

As you will see in the Scripture verses I will give you in this article, I believe Jesus is asking all of us to live and operate at a higher level and standard now that He has already died on the cross for all of our sins and trespasses.. Back in the OT, there were several instances of His people cursing their enemies. The prophet Jeremiah had several times asked God to bring doom and destruction upon those who were coming after Israel.

However, when you look at the specific wording in the verses I will now give you, I do not believe the Lord wants us to engage in this kind of activity. In these specific verses, Jesus is telling us to love our enemies, along with blessing them and praying for them. He is not telling us to ask God to bring down any kind of death, doom, and destruction on those who are trying to hurt us.

As we have shown you in our article titled, “Battle Verses of the Bible,” God does have a war side to His personality and He will not hesitate to go into battle to protect you and your loved ones if you need Him to do it for you – but let God decide how He will want to handle each individual matter you may be dealing with. Do not ask God to kill or bring down any kind of bodily harm or major calamity on your enemies.

Granted, God did strike and kill some of Israel’s enemies back in the OT, but let Him decide how He will fight each battle and what kinds of judgments He will want to render against anyone who is trying to unjustly hurt you. This is His territory, not ours.

In some of the different Bible Dictionaries and Commentaries, the word “curse” or “cursing” means the following:

To call down evil upon others violently

A call for evil to rest on someone

Invocation of evil against one’s enemies

Notice in all 3 of these definitions, you are asking “evil” to come upon another for what they are trying to do against you. As you will see in one of the verses I will give you below, the Lord is flat out telling us that we are not to repay evil with evil. Instead He wants us to love them. bless them, and pray for them. He does not want us asking God the Father to strike them dead or cause any kind of major calamity to occur in their lives.

Again, this is the Lord’s territory, and He will be the One who will decide what kind of corrective action will need to be taken with the enemies in your life, not you or any of your close friends or family members.

I know when you have been viciously wronged by another person, you will have an initial knee-jerk reaction to want to exact some kind of personal vengeance. You will either want to try and take matters into your own hands, or you will want to ask God to strike them with some kind of heavy blow due to whatever evil this person may have just struck you with.

But again, when you study the specific wording in the verses I will now give you, God does not want us taking this kind of action or having this kind of vengeful attitude. He wants you to have just the opposite kind of reaction. He will want you to love them, bless them, and pray for them.

I will now go ahead and break these verses down under 3 specific captions so you can really see what the Lord is trying to tell us on this topic.

1. Bless Those Who Will Persecute You – And Do Not Curse

This first verse will completely answer this question for all of us. This verse is coming from the apostle Paul. This verse is a very simple one-liner, but in it is a direct command from the Lord not to curse those who are trying to persecute us in any way. Instead we are to bless them.

Here it is:

“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.” (Romans 12:14)

When Paul is telling us not to curse those who are trying to hurt us, I believe he is talking about cursing them in the way the above definitions are stating. I do not believe he is talking about curse words and swearing, which would be a different definition of this word.

You can tell by the context this word is being used in, that he is referring to using cursing to try and get evil to fall down upon someone else for what they may have done to you.

2. Love, Bless, and Pray For Your Enemies

These next two verses coming direct from Jesus Himself are now going to add more to all of this. In addition to Paul telling us to bless those who will try and persecute us and not to curse them, Jesus will now be asking all of us to actually love our enemies.

He is telling us in these two verses that we are to:

Love them

Bless them

Pray for them

Do good to those who hate you

If Jesus is telling us to love and bless our enemies, and to still continue to do good for them, this does not leave room for any type of cursing.

If God wants us to pray for our enemies, I do not think He will want us to pray that He bring down any kind of major misfortune or calamity on them, all just so we can get some kind of personal revenge for what they may have just done to us.

Here are two very strong and powerful verses direct from Jesus Himself on this tropic:

“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? … Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:44-48)

“But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. To him who strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also. And from him who takes away your cloak, do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.

But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Highest. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.” (Luke 6:27-36)

In the Sanctification Section of our site, we have a very good article on how God wants us to love other people in this life. The title of this article is, “The Power of Love.” In this article is a section on how we can learn how to love even the worst of our enemies in the way that God would really like.

Notice in the last verse it says that even God Himself is kind and merciful to the unthankful and evil and we should also be the same way in our dealings with them.

3. Vengeance Belongs to the Lord – Not To Us

These next set of verses will now put the icing on this entire subject matter. These next set of verses will very clearly tell us that any kind of vengeance in this life belongs to the Lord, not to us, or any of our family members who would like to try and get even for us.

Here are two extremely strong verses, telling us in no uncertain terms, that vengeance in this life belongs to the Lord and not to any of us.

“Repay no one evil for evil … live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves … for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Therefore if your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him a drink … Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:17-21)

“God is jealous, and the Lord avenges; the Lord avenges and is furious. The Lord will take vengeance on His adversaries, and reserves wrath for His enemies; the Lord is slow to anger and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked.” (Nahum 1:2-3)

The first verse simply says it all. This verse is telling us to “repay no one evil for evil.”

Per the above definitions on what cursing is all about, these definitions are all using the word “evil” in them. When you curse someone else, you are in fact trying to call down some kind of an evil act to fall upon them for whatever they have personally done to you.

By the way this first verse is reading, you are in direct violation of this command from the Lord every time you try and curse someone, as you are trying to repay an evil act done against you with another evil act on your part. The very last part of this verse is telling us not to overcome evil with evil, but to overcome evil with good.

As you can from the way these verses are reading, the Lord wants us to do just the exact opposite. He wants us to love them, bless them, pray for them, and feed them – not to curse them and wish that any kind of major calamity or harm come upon them.

In the Psychological Issues section of our site, we have another good article on just this one topic. The title of this article is, “Vengeance Belongs to the Lord.” This article will give you more good commentary on this topic if there are any of you out there who are wrestling with the Lord on this issue due to what someone else may have done to you.

Conclusion

When you put all of these verses together like you would pieces to a jigsaw puzzle, I think the revelation comes through loud and clear. Though there was some cursing done back in the OT, I believe God wants all of us to live at a higher level in the NT now that we all have the Holy Spirit living on the inside of us to help sanctify us and transform us.

When God is now telling us to love our enemies, along with blessing them and praying for them, I do not think there is any room to directly try and curse them for whatever evil they may have done to us. As the last two verses have told us, any kind of vengeance and payback in this life belongs to the Lord, not to us. As such, we should forgive all those who will trespass against us in this life and get on with the rest of our lives so we can complete and fulfill all of our divine destiny for the Lord.

When everything is all finally said and done, God will be righting all of the wrongs ever done to us by others in this life. That is why we can let go and let God, because it is now His job to take care of our enemies and what they may try and do to us in this life.

As you will see in reviewing the stories in our Testimonies section of our site, we can ask and petition God to come to our aid and help fight our battles when being unjustly attacked by others, but we have to let Him decide which strategies He will want to use and what kind of corrective action He will want to take when He does go into battle for us.

We are not to ask God to kill our enemies, or to bring down any kind of major calamity on them. I believe this is going too far, especially with how all of the above verses are being worded by the Lord.

The only Person who will be doing any kind of cursing in this life when it will be appropriate will be God Himself. Here is a good verse that will show you that God can curse someone if He will want to do so:

Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, from your kindred and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:1-3)

All in all, I think Christians should abide by what the Lord is telling us in these New Testament verses and stay away from trying to curse anyone, no matter what kind of evil they may have done to you.

With God going to be judging everyone for every bad thing they have ever done if it has not been covered under the blood of Jesus before they die and cross over, we can let all of this go into His hands and get on with the rest of our lives. This life is way too short to be wallowing in the hurts and injustices of our past.

e just recently come across a very powerful video on the abortion debate. This video was made by a Christian man named Raymond Comfort.

For those of you who do not know Ray Comfort, he wrote a very good book years ago on how to effectively witness to unbelievers. The title of his book was “Hell’s Best Kept Secret.” He has a very anointed ministry on witnessing to the unsaved, and this man has our highest recommendation for the type of work he does for the Lord.

He just recently put together this 33 minute video documentary on the abortion debate that is still raging across much of the world. What he did was to go out on the streets and interview several young adults on this debate. All of them initially were pro-choice, but after he had got done showing them another point of view on this debate, several of them changed their minds.

What he has done is compare what we are doing with abortion with what Adolph Hitler did with the extermination of 6 million Jews in the Nazi holocaust. Since he was able to change a few minds with this approach, he has named his video “180″ since several people did a complete 180 after he had got done interviewing them and showing them another point of view on this debate.

Bottom line – what we are doing with the wholesale slaughter of innocent young children still in their mother’s womb is no different than what Adolph Hitler did with the extermination of 6 million Jews.

Adolph Hitler was committing MASS GENOCIDE when he was targeting a specific class of people to exterminate. And in the same way, we are committing MASS GENOCIDE with the extermination of babies who are at a certain stage in the middle of the mother’s pregnancies.

And just as Adolph Hitler was using the “excuse” that the Jewish people had to be exterminated because he thought they were a lower class of people – in the same way, we are using the “excuse” to exterminate over 53,000,000 million babies since Roe vs. Wade because we do not like the present set of circumstances the child may have to be born into.

We already have our own article on this topic in the Current Issues section of our site. The title of our article is, “The Sin of Abortion,” if you would like to see our own commentary on this hot topic. We totally agree with Mr. Comfort in that abortion is simply first degree murder in the eyes of God and that life begins at the moment of conception, not when the baby is born through the mother’s womb.

We have embedded this video from Mr. Comfort right in this article itself so you would not have to go to another page. And again, please feel free to put it up on your facebook wall and pass it on to all of your family and friends. This video went viral shortly after it was put up on youtube. It had over 500,000 views shortly after it was put up.

Can A Person Be Saved After Their Death?

he other day we put up an article on Rob Bell and his very controversial book titled, “Love Wins.” For those of you who do not know about Rob Bell, he is a Christian pastor from Michigan who is trying to say that everyone will eventually end up in heaven. He is thus trying to take out the doctrine of hell and eternal damnation from our Bible.

His theory is that God’s love is so powerful and overwhelming, that it will eventually melt the hearts of every single person, thus no one will ever end up in hell for all of eternity.

He now has left the church he has been pastoring since 1999 and is seeking to spread his message of Universalism to a wider and broader audience. We feel he is going to be doing some serious damage to a lot of the people who are on the fence post with the Lord regarding their eternal salvation in Him.

With Rob now being a full-pledged Universalist, this now brings up the question that I want to address with this specific article. And that question is – can people get saved after they die and cross over, or do they have to get saved and born again before their death and departure from this world?

If Universalists believe that everyone will eventually get saved, then some of these people are going to have to get saved after they die and cross over, since many people will never find and accept Jesus this side of heaven.

As you will see in the specific Scripture verses I will give you in this article, God is making it very clear and very plain that we have to accept His free gift of eternal salvation through His Son Jesus this side of heaven, not the next. In other words, we only have this one earthly lifetime to find and accept Jesus, and we have to do it before we die and leave this world. If we think we can do it after we die and cross over, we will find out very quickly that we were sadly mistaken and will thus have to pay with our eternal lives in the most horrible place imaginable.

This is why what Rob Bell and the rest of the Universalists are preaching is so deadly and so dangerous. If someone is on the fence post with the Lord regarding their eternal salvation in Him, and then they hear a message from a Universalist like Rob Bell telling them they can still get saved with Jesus after they die and cross over, can you see what this will do to some of these people?

It will get them to put off making this life-altering decision until either later in their life or when they die and cross over. They will see no need or have any desire to want to repent since their sins will be forgiven anyway once they die and meet Jesus face-to-face for their eternal salvation. As a result, many people are going to be led straight into the pits of hell once they die and cross over as a result of putting off accepting Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior in this one earthly lifetime in which they had to do it in.

How some of these Christian pastors are falling for this demonic doctrine of Univeralsim is simply beyond me, as it goes directly against what God is telling us in His written Word on how He has the big picture set up with all of us.

Now I will go to the specific Scripture verses which will answer this question once and for all since these verses are all coming direct from the mouth of the Lord Himself.

The Scripture Verses

Study the specific wording I will now give you in these Scripture verses very, very carefully, as they will all clearly answer this question for you as to whether or not a person can get saved after their death and departure from this world.

Once again, I believe God is meaning exactly what He is saying in each one of these verses, and I thus see no room for any type of Universalistic doctrine in any of these verses.

1. It is Appointed For Men to Die Once – And Then We Face Judgment

This first verse, in my opinion, completely answers this question as to whether or not we can still get saved after our death and departure from this world. Here is the verse, and then I will point out a few key things to really grab a hold of.

“And as it is appointed for men to DIE ONCE, but after this the judgment …” (Hebrew 9:27)

Notice the following:

a) If God ever had any opening in one of His verses to let all of us know that we could still receive eternal salvation through His Son Jesus after we had already died and crossed over, this verse would be it. If this was a possibility with the Lord, then I believe He would have put that kind of statement in this verse. But notice He did not.

This verse is flat out telling us that we will only get one earthly lifetime to get our act together with Him. We are not going to be reincarnated back into another body to get several more chances to find and accept Jesus this side of heaven. We only have one earthly lifetime in which to be able to do this.

b) And then notice what it says after our one earthly lifetime is up down here – we will then all face judgment with God Almighty Himself. There is no wording whatsoever that we will get some kind of extra time on the other side to find and accept Jesus.

This verse is telling us that we are going to face judgment – and this judgment is going to be based on what we have done down here on this earth. There is nothing in this verse that will tell us that we will be judged on anything we will be doing on the other side once we die and cross over into it.

If God ever had one verse with a big huge opening in it where He could tell us that we could get saved after our deaths, this verse would be it. There is an opening in this verse wide enough and big enough to drive a mack truck through. But notice how short, sweet, and very straight-forward and direct-to-the-point this verse is.

Bottom line – we only have this one life down here on this earth to live, and after this one life has been lived, we will then die and cross over to face God for our own personal judgments on our lives. And again, this judgment is based upon what we have done down here on this earth, not for what might have occurred on the other side once we have died and crossed over.

The fact that God is completely leaving out any kind of possibility that we could get saved on the other side of heaven is flat out telling me this is not even a possibility with Him. We thus have to take this very serious verse at face value and believe what it is directly telling us. We cannot try and take this verse out, or try to discount it because it does not agree with how we think God should have the big picture all set up.

2. God Will Judge Us For the Works That Were Done in the Body

These next 4 verses are now going to add more to the first verse above. These 4 verses are specifically talking about all saved and born-again Christians. The first verse will completely set the stage for all of us.

This first verse is telling us that we will all have to appear before the Judgment Seat of Jesus, and from there, we will be judged for the things we have done in the body. The 4 keys words to really hone in on are things that we have “done in the body.”

I believe the word “body” is referring to our earthly, human, physical bodies. As a result, we will all be judged for the things we have done down here on this earth, not for what might have occurred on the other side once we had died and crossed over. And again, if there was any kind of possibility that we would also be judged for things that might have occurred on the other side once we had died and crossed over, then Jesus would have specifically told us so in this verse.

But when Jesus is specifically isolating all of the things we have done in our earthly physical bodies as to what will be judged, then you know He is talking about what we have done down here on this earth. This thus leaves no room or any kind of possibility that we can get saved on the other side of heaven.

Here are four more good verses to add into this argument:

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things DONE IN THE BODY, according to what He has done, whether good or bad.” (2 Corinthians 5:10)

“… and each one will receive His own reward ACCORDING TO HIS OWN LABOR.” (1 Corinthians 3:8)

“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone ACCORDING TO HIS WORK.” (Revelation 22:12)

“… I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you ACCORDING TO YOUR WORKS.” (Revelation 2:23)

The last three verses are all stating the same thing, that we are going to be rewarded by Jesus for the labor and works we have done for Him down here on this earth. And again, these are for works and labors that are done down here on this earth, not for might have occurred up in heaven once we had entered there.

Again, if there was any possibility that we could get saved up in heaven, then Jesus would have put that kind of specific wording in all 4 of these verses.

3. The Great White Throne Judgment

If all Christians will come before the Judgment Seat of Jesus for their own personal judgments in Him, then what kind of judgment will all of the unsaved have to face before the Lord?

This next verse will answer this question for you, and this judgment is called the Great White Throne Judgment. Here is the verse, and then I will point a few key things in this verse to really grab a hold of:

“Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.

The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:11-14)

Notice several key things in this verse:

a) This judgment is only for the unsaved, it is not for all born-again Christians. How do you know this? Because this passage is using the words that the “dead” are the ones who are appearing before the Lord for this final judgment.

Also note the wording that “Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them.” This phrase is telling you that all of the people who are appearing before the Lord in this last and final judgment are all coming from Hades, which is where they have all been during the 1000 year millennial reign of Jesus.

Born-again Christians are not dead, we are all fully alive, especially since we have now all died and entered into heaven, and then came back down with Jesus to rule with Him during the 1000 year Millennium Kingdom.

And then notice what the dead are being judged for? They are being “judged according to their works.” And again, these are works that were done down here on this earth, not for what might have occurred on the other side once they had died and crossed over.

b) Again, if there was any possibility that the unsaved could get saved once they die and cross over, this verse would definitely be telling us this. But once again, it does not. As such, we cannot attempt to add something to this verse that is not in there.

This verse, along with the 4 verses above about Jesus rewarding and judging us for what we have all done in the body, are all showing us that both of these judgments will be made on what we have done down here on this earth, not for might have occurred on the other side once we had died and crossed over.

How any Christian can fall for the doctrine of Universalism, when these kinds of verses from Scripture are all so clear and plain is just beyond me. If you believe that all of the Holy Bible is truly the inspired and infallible Word of our Holy God, then there is simply no other conclusion you can come to on this topic.

3. The Rich Man and Lazarus

The last verse I will leave you with that will also answer this question is the one on Lazarus and the rich man. After they had both died, Lazarus goes straight to Abraham’s bosom, and the rich man ends up going straight down into hell for the kind of life he had lived.

And then notice what happens next. The rich man is crying out that he is burning alive in a flame of fire. And then Abraham answers the rich man telling him that it is now too late. There is a great gulf separating these two places from one another and the rich man cannot cross over into Abraham’s bosom where Lazarus is now at.

Also notice the rich man says absolutely nothing about being able to make it right with the Lord after he had died and entered into hell. The implication is all there that this rich man immediately entered into hell right after his death. This verse is thus confirming the first verse listed above that we are appointed to die once, and then when we die, judgment is then set on our lives as to where we will end up going.

Again, this is another verse where there is a huge opening for the Lord to tell us that we can get saved after we die. But once again, there is absolutely no wording whatsoever in this verse that we can do this with the Lord. This verse is following the same pattern as the rest of the above verses are doing, all showing us that we have to find and accept Jesus in this one earthly lifetime.

Here is this verse, once more driving home the point that we have to get saved this side of heaven, not the next side:

“There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. So it was the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.

And being in torments in Hades (Hell), he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Then he cried and said, “Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, “Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’

Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father’s house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ Abraham said to him, “They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.’ And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.’ But he said to them, ‘If they did not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.’” (Luke 16:19-31)

Conclusion

If there was any kind of possibility that we could get saved after our death and departure from this world, then I believe God would be telling us so in these kinds of verses. But since He is not, we have to take Him at His Word and believe what these verses are literally telling us.

As we have said in our article titled, “The Reality of Hell,” the doctrine of hell and eternal damnation is without question, the most gut-wrenching and heart-breaking doctrine in all of the Christian faith. But just because this doctrine may not agree with how we would have arranged for the big picture to be set up does not mean we can try and discount it or take this doctrine out of our Bible.

This is the way our God has the big picture all set up, and woe to any man or woman who will try and take this doctrine out of our basic tenets and try to replace it with the false doctrine of Universalism. With all of us only having one short lifetime in which to find and accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, these Christians who are now teaching this false doctrine are treading on extremely dangerous and serious grounds with God the Father.

This false heretical doctrine is going to lead a certain amount of people into hell because they will think they have all of the time in the world to accept God’s free gift of eternal salvation through His Son Jesus, even to the point of believing they can accept this gift once they die and cross over to the other side.

To any of you who know other Christians who have fallen for this demonic doctrine, we ask that you continue to pray for them, asking God to bolt in there with His divine truth so they can get their wrong thinking straightened out on this very important issue.

We already have enough people who are going to end up in hell due to their own stupidity, stubbornness, and rebellion without making matters worse and teaching this kind of insanity, which is going to lead them even more astray from what the real truth is on how God has the big picture story of redemption all set up for the human race.

Comments on Rob Bell and His Controversial Book – “Love Wins”

his article is being typed up on 9/25/11. The other day I put up a blog post on Rob Bell leaving the church where he has been a pastor of since 1999. Rob is the one who has written a very controversial book titled, “Love Wins.”

In this book, he is trying to do away with the doctrine of hell. Just today I happened to come across his book at the bookstore. I sat down and scan read it to try and see where he was coming from.

He makes the statement in the book that God’s “love” is so powerful and overwhelming, that it will eventually melt everyone’s heart and everyone will eventually receive Him as their Lord and Savior.

As a result of God’s love being so powerful and overwhelming, no man will be able to resist Him and they will all end up eventually coming to Him for eternal salvation. As a result, no one will end up going to hell for all of eternity. And God’s heart and love will even be reaching the worst of the hardened sinners such as atheists, and people like Adoph Hitler and the other evil and despotic dictators who have walked our earth over the years.

Though all of the above really sounds nice, warm, and fuzzy, the Bible is painting a clearly different picture. In our article titled, “The Reality of Hell,” we give you all of the main verses on the reality of hell and that it will be for all of eternity for the people who are cast down in there.

How Rob can try and spin and sugarcoat these kinds of verses, when they are all very literal and straight-to-the-point is simply beyond me.

If God’s love can reach and melt every single human heart, then what happened with all of the angels who initially were in heaven – with 1/3 of them being cast out of heaven when they chose with their own free wills to rebel against the Lord.

My take is if 1/3 of the angelic race ended up rebelling and going against the Lord, then a certain percentage of the human race is also going to end up doing the exact same thing. And just as God prepared hell for all of the angels who have rebelled against Him, He is also going to allow all of the human race that will rebel against Him to suffer the exact same fate.

If Rob’s argument had any basis in fact, then 1/3 of the angels who had initially rebelled against God would have all been forgiven and they would all still be up in heaven right now. But the Bible is very clear they are not in heaven right now and they will all eventually end up in the Lake of Fire and Brimstone for all of eternity once the 1000 year millennial reign of Jesus has ended.

All in all, Rob Bell is proposing Universalism where everyone will end up in heaven with God and Jesus, and no human will ever have to suffer eternal torment and punishment in a place called hell. We already have an article on this topic titled, “The False Doctrine of Universalism.” In this article, we give you the specific reasons as to why everyone is not going to be making it into heaven.

Rob Bell is now going to leave his church for greener pastures. He said he now wants to take his message of there being no hell to a “broader audience.” Hence the title of his very controversial book – “Love Wins” – meaning that God’s love will win in the end and everyone will finally see the truth and accept Him as their Lord and Savior.

Again, we wish his theory was all true and correct, but for those of you who really know your God and your Bible, you know that this is not how God the Father has the big picture all set up. God is going to give everyone a free choice to make on this decision, and this is something that is not going to be an automatic.

With Rob Bell now going to take his message of Universalism to a wider and broader audience, we feel that he is now going to do some serious damage, especially to all of the unsaved sinners. Once the unsaved sinner hears this kind of message, they will see no reason to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior this side of heaven. They will think they will be able to get it all worked out with the Lord once they die and cross over. In other words, they will be lulled into a false sense of security.

Can you see how many of the unsaved will be led right into hell if they end up believing and falling for this lie which is coming straight from the pit of hell itself?

If these unsaved sinners think they will eventually end up in heaven, no matter what they do down here, and whether or not they ever formally accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior, they will have no immediate sense of urgency to make it right with God this side of heaven. As a result, they will continue to live in their sin-filled lives and do what they want to do, not caring who they hurt or run over in the process – all because God will end up forgiving them anyway and take all of them back in once they die and cross over.

How demons got a hold of this man to get him to fall for this kind of heretical lie is simply beyond me. This man was a Christian pastor and Bible teacher, and somehow and someway, he lost touch with what the real truth is regarding the doctrine of hell.

Again, this is why most of the Bible has to be interpreted on a very literal basis. For the most part, God is saying exactly what He is meaning to say. Once you try and take His direct, straight-to-the point, literal words and turn them into an allegory or metaphorical type speech, you will lose the literal translation of the Bible. And once you lose the literal interpretation of many of the verses in the Bible, you will then easily fall for these kinds of tricks and traps from the darkside.

As we have said in our article titled, “The Reality of Hell,” this doctrine is without question, the most heart-breaking and gut-wrenching doctrine in all of our Christian faith. This doctrine is so extreme, that many Christians cannot even meditate on it for very long before they have to pull out of it – for just thinking that a certain percentage of humanity will have to spend the rest of their eternal existence in a place like this with no chance of ever being able to make it back out again is enough to tear your heart into a million pieces.

But whether we like it or not, we cannot try and change or alter this doctrine, or try to take it completely out of our Bible because we cannot fully understand why God would have a hell in the way that He has set up the big picture. We have to take God at His Word on this doctrine.

And if God is telling us in no uncertain terms in His Word that there is a literal hell and that it will be for all of eternity for those who will end up being cast down in there, then we have to accept this doctrine with full faith and belief and not try to take it out because it does not agree with how we would have the big picture set up.

The Bible says we will only know in part while we are down here on this earth – and who are we to question God Almighty Himself on how He has the big picture all set up.

Once we get to heaven, we will be able receive answers to some of these tough questions. But until that glorious event finally happens, we have to have full faith and belief in that our God is a just, righteous, and loving God who has nothing but our best interests at heart.

And if God has created a literal place called hell, then we have to assume that He had very good reasons for creating it in the first place, and that we will be finding out exactly what those reasons were once we have entered into heaven.

With this man now leaving his church to reach a wider and broader audience, we simply ask our readers that you put this man on your personal prayer list and pray to God that He make a very strong move on him to get his wrong thinking straightened out on this issue.

This man needs to be seriously prayed for because he is now going to be leading a lot of the unsaved right into a major lie straight from the pit of hell itself, and from there, many of the unsaved will lose their one and only chance to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior this side of heaven.

The Bible is very clear on this issue – we have to find and accept Jesus this side of heaven, not when we die and cross over. If we think we can find and accept Jesus after we die and cross over, we will find out very quickly that it will be already too late. Eternal salvation from Jesus has to be received while we are down here on this earth. It cannot be received on the other side.

This is what the false doctrine of Universalism is teaching and as a result, many people are going to end up falling straight into hell as a result of following this demonic lie and doctrine. And then when a Christian pastor starts turning and teaching this kind of false heretical doctrine, this just makes matters even worse.

This is why we ask for all of your prayers for this man – not only for all of the unsaved that he might lead straight into hell as a result of this false teaching, but also for Rob Bell himself, as I would not want to fathom what the consequences could be on his day of judgment with the Lord if he ends up leading a lot of people into hell as a result of this false teaching.

If you would like to see our further commentary on the reality of hell and the false doctrine of Universalism, please go to these two additional articles:

“The False Doctrine of Universalism”

Again, I cannot emphasize enough how deadly and dangerous this demonic doctrine is and how we all need to pray for this man so he does not lead any more people astray from what the real truth is on the reality of hell.

Also, here is a good review of Rob Bell’s book that I just found on youtube from Matt Slick at carm.org.
