Bob S. I will turn to differ with you a bit. Christ did die for all of us & for all our sins (Believers & Non Believers) either Past, Present & Future sins, but people only receive the forgiveness sins once they come to CHRIST through confession & repentance, of which God give them the forgivenes that has already been done long time ago, but when we sin again & or again those sins are not forgiven until we ask for forgiveness that's why his word says “My little children, these things I write to you, that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” (1 John 2:1) I strongly believe that this verse was talking to believers. So let us not think one confession cleansed even our future sins, we have to live by confessing & repenting from all kind of evil ways (Thoughts & actions). May God richly bless you all *It's a powerful Topic indeed. :)

Nicole,

THE WORD of GOD says this: Matthew 12:31-32

New Century Version (NCV)

31 So I tell you, people can be forgiven for every sin and everything they say against God. But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.

32 Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, now or in the future.

If you are truly sorry for what you have said and you have asked God to forgive you, then HE HAS FORGIVEN YOU!!! And once GOD has forgiven us, HE doesn't remember our sins any more!!!

Hebrews 8:12 (NCV) I will forgive them for the wicked things they did, and I will not remember their sins anymore.

As long as you didn't actually speak against the Holy Spirit, then you can be forgiven, if you ask!!! You would have to have intentionally spoken against HIM (the Holy Spirit)!!! If you had, you would have known it!!! So, ask God to forgive you for cursing HIM, and HE will, if you truly mean it!!!

There is no need to worry!!! That is a trick from the enemy!! If he can convince you that you cannot forgiven then he will take you to HELL!! Once you have repented, you tell that ole devil to shut up!!! He is a liar and the truth is NOT in him!!! John 8:44

It is the devil that constantly tells us that we are no good, NOT God!! Here is what THE WORD says about coming to GOD!!

2 Corinthians 5:17 New King James Version (NKJV)

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

So, Nicole, if you ask Jesus, He will save you and forgive you and cleanse you of your sins!!!

IT IS NOT TOO LATE!!!

Remember, Jesus died to save ALL of us of our sins!!! John 3:16

Well when you were talking about the "sin of the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit", here are some verses where is talks about that,

"31 Therefore I say unto you, Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men; but the blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. 32 And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in that which is to come."

And where is says "Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men" the part (unto men). When someone becomes a Christian they become a son or daughter of God, and if your not a Christian then your not a son or daughter of God, but your a son or daughter of man. And if your a son or daughter of man then your not forgiven, but if your a son or daughter of God then you are forgiven.

It has recently been revealed to me that the teaching of continuously confessing our sins has not been totally accurate. Yes we need to confess our sins for, All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." However once I have been forgiven this is where my change of theology finds its roots. I believe that when I was forgiven I was forgiven of "ALL" my sins. This however does not give me license to go out and do whatever I wish. The apostle Paul address this in Galations, You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. (Gal. 5:13) It is my stedfast belief that all of my sins have been forgiven past, presnt and future. Therefore to go before the throne of grace and ask forgiveness again for something that no longer exists in the site of God seems an afront to the grace bestowed upon us. I would much rather accept the grace, acknowledgethat I did not live up to God's standards, thank him that through all of it I am still his child, covered by the blood of the lamb, and sinless as the day that some blood covered me for the first time. Finally thank our heavenly Father for such a grace as was bestowed upon all men that will accept him.
