I have started reading the bible again. In talking to friends I remember the story of some leader or King. This leader talked with two ladies claiming that a baby belonged to both of them. This leader told them, the only way he could settle this matter was to cut the baby in half. One lady said no, do not do that, give the baby to the other lady. This leader then placed the baby into her arms and said now I know you are the true mother.
Who was this leader or King.

I am learning about the bible daily but am a beginner. Where is the story of Moses and the golden lamb at in the bible? I was told that Christmas began as a pagen worship and that we should not celebrate Christmas was we know it. What are your thoughts.
