I find your information informative but I feel the matter of generational curses needs to be explained in greater detail. Generational curses aren’t just related to a sin or bondage a parent has, that an offspring may develope a weakness to. The Bible speaks of generational curses as being curses that come on a bloodline for generations because of abomniable sins against God. I believe that most curses people are born with. The Bible says that curses can come for three or four generations. There are various kinds of curses spoken about in scripture. Some can last much longer and some forever if not removed through the anointing. I believe a prayer can bring some relief but the Bible says yokes are destroyed through THE ANOINTING. It requires the power of God released against that demonic root to drive it out. Devils aren’t giving up their place without a power that is stronger than they are. Simple prayers don’t work with deeply rooted spirits because the Bible says an ANOINTING is required to destroy the yoke. That often comes through the laying on of hands by a very anointed servant of God who understands spiritual authority and operates in it. It can also come through self deliverance if someone knows how. I have experenced it that way through fasting and knowing how to drive the spirit out with authority. These are my beliefs and experience, from studying deliverance in Bible school and reading about it in scripture. If you need help and can’t find it, seek out a powerful man or woman of God that knows how to drive out the enemy from your life. Most churches don’t have a clue about this, even in what is termed Spirit filled churches. But there are some that do. You might look for deliverance ministries online. This can be done over the phone as well, if there aren’t churches in your local area. Often African ministers will understand this because of all of the demonic activity they grow up with in African countries.

May the good Lord bless you abundantly for introducing me to a peaceful and joyous way of leaving through God the almighty Fathers guidance.
By the powerful prayer i have used to break the curse line brought down from the generation of both my Father and Mother down its entire generation line and ancestors be broken once for all in the name of Jesus Christ.

Glory be to God and all powers and praise to the Father , the Son and the Holy spirit.

I have been incorporating many of the prayers on this site and I have found the results moving and emotional!! I found a deeper sense of repentance and clearing by actually delving more in depth into how much I had created openings and or participated in creating way for my own attacks.

For Peter I will say this:
19 “Yet you say, ‘Why should the son not bear the guilt of the father?’ Because the son has done what is lawful and right, and has kept all My statutes and observed them, he shall surely live.

In this scripture the son has not sinned in the first place -

Ezekiel 14 “But suppose this son has a son who sees all the sins his father commits, and though he sees them, he does not do such things:

I took the breaking of the curse to mean when the sins visit the sons also.

So the father creates the opening or the attack and the child is in danger of being attacked similarly, though they have the free will not to make the same choices. They may be exposed to these specific types of sin because of the fathers, therefore causing them to do the exact same sins.

It is about the sins being taken up by the sons themselves, ultimately, which put the punishment on their own lap also.

All Christians can come under attack and that is why God gives us authority to cast out the demons. The unsaved cannot cast out demons. This verifies that Christians can and will be attacked but with a solution.

So you need to view this in terms of a son taking up the same sins as the father because the demons have set up camp, attacked the father and lay foundation to attack the sons and succeed.

For my family it is like the above example the alcoholism at varying levels on every member in every generation going as far back as I know to my Great Grandfather, and now I just found out that my Great Great Grandfather molested his daughters which might account for the abuse of alcohol in the first place with my Great Grandfather and then onto my Grandfather. It has now gone forward to myself and my cousin. Since I did not use alcohol my whole life it was not a longstanding attack on me but appears to be settling in on my youngest cousin as his father drank every single day.

For my husband there is a long line of workaholism and neglect. We have both done the prayers and are starting to see movement on both sides of each family. It is awesome!!

who is serious about closing the doors and ending demonic attack.

Now I can feel an attack from the outside and easily identify and stop it immediately. For anyone who has knowingly had a demon inside of them I can’t tell you peaceful and freeing this is!!

Peter,

The subject of generational curses on NT born again believers is a very controversial one. Many Christians do not believe it can apply to us. But every deliverance minister I have studied under all have found that this is real when dealing with demons.

I gave the verses and my own interpretation as to how it may happen in this article. This is one issue that will never be resolved this side of heaven and we will just have to wait until we get to heaven to see who had the right answer on this issue.

I intially had my own doubts about this until that case came in for me and the demons did not leave until she took the steps to break what may have been a curse line going back to her dad and his dad as explained in this article.

I put your post up to see if anyone else will want to comment on it.

I enjoyed reading your article but I find myself questionaing its validity in relation to that of a Born Again Christian. I have no argument with its standing in eference to Old Testament teachings, but certainly question its value to those “In Christ”.

Ezekiel 18:1-9 clearly state that generational curses will cease and infact have ceased even by the Word of the Lord, and He (The Lord) states the following in Vs 4 “Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father As well as the soul of the son is Mine; The soul who sins shall die”. and again He states the same in the same chaper and in Jeremiah, The Lord confirms this state, see the followings scriptures.

Ezekiel 18:19
Turn and Live
19 “Yet you say, ‘Why should the son not bear the guilt of the father?’ Because the son has done what is lawful and right, and has kept all My statutes and observed them, he shall surely live. 20 The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.
21 “But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 22 None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; because of the righteousness which he has done, he shall live. 23 Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord GOD, “and not that he should turn from his ways and live?

Jeremiah 31:29-34.
27 “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and the seed of beast. 28 And it shall come to pass, that as I have watched over them to pluck up, to break down, to throw down, to destroy, and to afflict, so I will watch over them to build and to plant, says the LORD. 29 In those days they shall say no more:
‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes,
And the children’s teeth are set on edge.’
30 But every one shall die for his own iniquity; every man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge.

A New Covenant
31 “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; aand I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for bthey all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

Considering these most important verses and that of 2 Corinthian 5:14-21, the understanding of the death of the old man spoken of in Romans 5 through 8 and the importance of “Knowing this” and “Reckoning this”, I respectfully suggest that the method you refer to has its limits in the Old Covernant, it is not and should not be considered to be part of the New Covenant.

I would be most interested to read your response, But please use scripture to establish your points and not ideals or experiences. What you say must stand the test of scripture.

Dear Sir it is also quite important to use the original name of Yahweh and Yehshua, undiluted and pure, remember that the principalities helped dilute the Bible. Encourage people to acquire the ASV etc, the KJV and NIV were clearly touched by unHoly hands. Please this is important. Saying Father, Lord, Your, son, is stand up comedy for them. They laugh but get adjitated by your tears and faith, and can disappear for even a number of years, but you have not bound them. They then return ten times the number they were at first. You can only do so by verbalising loudly and proudly the name of Yahweh and his only be gotten son Yehshua. They know them personally, more than any human does, and they fear them deeper than any many can possibly comprehend, but we have grace, we have the blood cells of Yehshua, flexing their strength, but when we’re under attack we call upon false names. You can command demons and satan out, as a personal command from you, but to banish them and receive a restriction order enforced by Yahweh, call upon him, by the blood of Yehshua. Amen. I can do all things in The Savior Yehshua, who strengthens me. I thank you.

Thank you so much, this website has really helped, i have been seeking the face of God, i am a christian born again last 5 yrs but my life has not changed, i feel like am standing at the same busstop, nothing is moving in my life, i have indulged in many stuff, i have attended deliverance services but nothing changed, just couple of relieve then back to zero, can’t work. I was praying and fasting ,was fed up with my life, felt like killing myself too, during the fasting period, i enquired from the Lord, what was wrong and He said withcraft, i just didn’t know what to say, i said, but am not a witch, He said, witchcraft verdict and curse of iniquity, am really confused.Pls, if you got insight on this ,help me, i want to be free, was looking for deliverance prayers and got to this sight, i believe the HolySpirit directed e here. I have done the above and i feel good, will continue to pray them, am in fasting too and have declared war against evil dreams, eating and sex in the dream. I would appreciate if someone could contact me please. I am not ashamed to say as it is, many christians out there are suffering and keeping quiet, i need my freedom in JESUS NAME. I came from a family of warlocks, witch and mediums. Although my parents they were not involved me and one of my brothers were drive to this world, since we were children, for exampel I remeber when I was 4 to 10 reading all I could find in supernaturals and I know realize that is not natural; my parents didnt have anything didnt practice this and my father was always mocking his mother because he found funny her witchcraft practice; but I was drive and I knew so many things with nobody telling me, I also was drive to read the Bible but only the prophetics parts and the Apocalypse, At the age of 9 or 10 I was practicing mental control with no body teaching me, I knew the brain was a massive machine, now I wonder how did I got the knoweldege.
I in several tiems of my life was driving to Christ, but I went away, I went to th e pitt and did have an horrible time, but I came back begin again and my total conversion to Jesus have take me years almost 15 to 20 years; I felt I still have ties because now that I am walking with Jesus, I can see right away the attack and I repoent of that though and go on.
BUt today looking for deliverance for a friend, I saw this in your website and decide to do it, and today I am fasting also, and I just do the prayr only appling it to my father and mother house and for my kids and grandkids.
I just finish and I feel like I have been doing a hour or more of exercise, I feel tired but in such a peace, like relieved.
