Dear anonymous, It does not matter what christmas has become. What matters is what it was when it started.... and that is truly pagan to the core. If you are refering to me as one who is self rightous I would have to say that is in error. I know I am a sinner and I need the guidance of the Holy Spirit every moment of my life. It is just that, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, That has showed me how truly wicked the phony christmas is. If one sees this idea as offensive or problem creating then it is my feelings that 1) more research needs to be done. 2) more prayer needs to be done. I always say, study and pray, study and pray.

The previous posts are missing the whole point of the article. There is a war on Christianity right now. It is the only acceptable form of discrimination in this country. I think as Christians we do need to fight this regardless if we feel that the bible doesn't mention celebrating the birth of Jesus. I Think God is happy whenever we worship and celebrate Jesus. Obviously, Christmas has become a commercialized mess and we should fight against this also. Remember how Jesus was being critized for healing on the sabbath, I think too many self- righteous Christians miss the big principals of the bible...loving God/ Jesus with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself. There are many good things that come out of celebrating Christmas...helping the poor, getting involved and getting many people into church come to mind. I was very happy to see this article here.

I guess it is clear for all to see that the trials facing God's church are not restricted to geographical bounderies. Our family has chosen to leave the so called "church" due to much false doctrine and error being preached. The ones who give us the most grief are those who study the Bible the least. When asked why we no longer attend the church's our reply is that the Lord showed us much false doctrine dominating the religions of today. The strange thing is that whenever we attempt to explain our beliefs and convictions by opening the Bible we immediately lose their attention. I myself am still suffering from the many years of religious programming I recieved from the church's as a result of believieing what I was told without seeing what the Bible had to say. If we just blindly accept what we are told then we cheat ourselves out of developing a relationship with The Holy Spirit. - Which is in fact what I believe is the true meaning of being a Christian, a personal relationship with our Lord, The Son of God, Jesus! God bless you all.

Thanks for your input.
We have to love our neighbours. Mine are all RCs
and think they are very religious and pious.
Yes, they no doubt think I am unchristian.
However, I myself married an Italian man and into
a catholic family.
I suffered enormous hatred from all of them.
Still, my husband loves me and is not religious,
so we live in peace together.
It must be hard for a child growing up in such a
family to ever change. So I just accept him as he
is, with free-will, and he accepts that I am a
Christian.
One son has married an Italian Catholic girl and
she is a lovely person, though my son is actually
anti-religion and does not believe. So I stay out
of their affairs and thankfully they live 3500 kms
away (so mother-in-law is silent).
It is quite acceptable to God to live together even
if one person is a Christian and one not.
However, my younger son was at one time dating a
nice Italian girl too. Yet, sadly, she turned to
being a Jehovah's Witness and gave my son the usual
ultimatum - join up or we are finished. Thankfully
he decided, with broken heart, to separate.

Life is not over until it is over. I pray for better
days. I do think the majority of people in general
and churches too have lost their way.

Where can true guidance and teachings be found?
Not from governments, or schools, or churches, or
in multiculturism. Australia is a multicultural
society but divided by religion.

God bless.

Jacqueline, I enjoyed your comments. Also it gave me a idea. I wonder if the neighbors think that we are guilty of spreading " anti-santatism "?

Good for you Nigel Hurst. Study and pray and be blessed in all that you do. My grandfather who has passed away did not celebrate christmas or have a pine tree inside of his house. He was very soft spoken and taught us by how he lived ( he set a good example. ) Twenty years after he died I found out on my own why he did not honor pagan customs. His family did not think him strange for his Christian beliefs. My, how times have changed! People in my family as well as others in the "church's" think we have lost our minds. It doesn't seem to matter to most that I can present sound biblical references as to why we should not observe pagan customs because most do not want to read the bible and find out that they need to change. They prefer to find a pastor that will reinforce their comfortable lifestyle. I can tell you that we have no shortage of things to pray about. God bless, E. Naranjo

One other thing, what did Jeremiah mean when he said, "For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hand of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not." Jeremiah 10: 3-4

President Bush is a member of the free masons, what secular pressure is he under and christmas has nothing to do with Jesus, he told us to remember his death at the passsover. It is his death that what saved us and not his birth and he was not born on the 25th of December. The calendar we follow was created by the Romans, which replaced the creator's calendar. Children are told to believe in Santa Claus and we know that he is not real who else knows if you are naughty or nice, but God. Why would parents lie to their children on the "so called" christmas day which "supposed" to be Christ's birthday aren't they breaking the commandments of God. John was the last disciple to die yet not one of his writings suggest anything about christmas or no other disciple for that matter. People need to do their research before opening their mouths. Mr. Bradley, I follow your website and read through your articles but this one I cannot agree with you. Please research Christmas and what it truly is.

1) Was Jesus born on 12-25-00 ? It is my understanding that is the date of the winter solstice that is and was celebrated by the pagans and later adopted by the roman catholic church along with ishtar, I mean easter. I think someone needs to do some research on the true "true meaning of christmas". You will be surprised and sickened by what you will find. Also study the word "mass" of christ mass. The new agers also speak of a christ to come. Not our Lord and Saviour either. But rather the illuminated or sun god christ that is worshipped on "sun" day. Look that one up too while you are at it.( sun day) I guarantee the truth will fascinate you. ( Study and pray, study and pray )!!!
