with all do respect, I must add my opinion being I AM a lesbian and know what it's like more than any hetrosexual does.
I had many questions myself, being that i AM A CHRISTIAN. I wanted to know for sure if I was ok with God. I did research and what I found was very simular to what "Alexei" said above. There are only a few scriptures on homosexuality (none on being lesbian). And both were referring to the laws of that time. There were many laws of that time that do NOT apply today, such as ... sacrificing animals, do any of us do that? clearly the Bible stated in some passages that it was a must to do that. Stoning our children when they are disobedient, do we do that now? I hope you see my picture here. I am not saying God changes his mind but I am saying that those were laws wrote for that time period and MANY of them are not considered today and many would be considered barbaric today, ie: "Stoning your child".
We did not have as many people in this world back then and I do not think beng lesbian or gay was well known as it s now, that is why there is not much talk on the issue at all (my opinion). All I know for sure is God created me for who I am. Jesus died in the cross for my sins just like everyone else and God loves me the same as anyone else and does not and will not throw me away just because of one small aspect of my life that I do believe I was born with. and ... like Mike said ... God does not bring us into heaven by what we do, he brings us by our faith in him and Jesus Christ.

Hello everyone,
If it’s okay, I would like to say a few things regarding my stance on this topic. I hope my words will be read with respect and with thorough inspection, for I must let you all know from the start that I have trouble fully understanding as to why some people may not accept the homosexual lifestyle. Please understand that I don’t intend on offending anyone. I, like many, am just a man with an opinion, looking for answers.
I would like to start off from the Biblical verses stated in the original text. “If a man lies with a man as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination”. At first glance, the point that is trying to be getting across seems obvious, but there may be an alternate interpretation.
Just a few verses before that, Moses says that it’s an abomination to eat shrimp (Lev 11:9-12) and to also eat rabbits and to plant two seeds in the same field, among other things. The Bible is the words of God spoken by people in the idiom of their time. That being said, in the Hebrew Bible, the word abomination means either “against tradition” or “against ritual”, never used to refer to something that is innately immoral. In the case of Lev 20:13, it is simply saying that when one is engaged in homosexual behavior, it was a violation of a cultural norm, not something that is innately immoral. So homosexuality may not be as bad as one may have thought.
For this part, I’ll express my thoughts with the words of Steve Simon. He argues, “How much of homosexuality is nature versus nurture? Is this something that you learn or acquire or is this something that you're born with? Is this just another lifestyle choice like skateboarding or gardening, or is this something that's innate with a human being? I believe that sexuality and sexual orientation are a gift from God. And I think that scientific evidence shows that more and more every day. Sexuality and sexual orientation are innate, and something that people are born with. When you can be alone with your own thoughts to ask yourself if that's true, if it's even possibly true, what does that mean to the moral force of your argument? Just ask yourself. And I guess to put it into the vernacular, that what I would ask is how many more gay people does God have to create before we ask ourselves whether or not God actually wants them around? How many gay people does God have to create before we ask ourselves whether the living of their lives the way they wish as long as they don't harm others is a godly and holy and happy and glorious thing?”
Another view point on the matter is that homosexuals are possessed by demonic spirits, which is the reason they are who they are. But let’s further dissect that notion. Demons are usually portrayed in the negative aspect, so I will assume that any person that is possessed by a demon has a negative effect on society and maybe even in general. But is the existence of homosexuals negative, or is it positive? Economically, if gay marriage were allowed, a vast amount of businesses would flourish. There have been many gay celebrities that have donated and contributed a large sum of money to charity and an even bigger chunk of their time to the improvement of our country. Since they cannot reproduce, it would give many children in orphanages a nice, loving home. Some may cringe at this and say that homosexuals cannot possibly be adequate parents. Why not? Similar to how African-Americans were (and still are treated), homosexuality teaches us that no matter how different you are, no matter what beliefs you have, no matter how you look or how you act, everyone deserves to live in a world where there is justice, fairness, wholeness, openness, acceptance, compassion and love.
At the end of the day, you have to ask yourself how and if homosexuality affects YOU. Why does it matter to anyone who is straight that a homosexual couple is tying the knot? I struggle to answer this question, because I believe that it doesn’t. Everyone deserves to live how they want, because life is too short to be anything but happy.

Satan does a fantastic job of making sinning not feel like sinning. whether or not you feel bad about it, sinning is still wrong and it will always be. God is the only one who can change a life. you have to be willing to give up everything for God. what you think you "want" isn't at all what God wants for you because He's the creator. He knows what is best for you. listen to God and be free. Set yourself free from sin and this lifestlye by God's grace. the problem is that people think they "love" the lesbian lifestyle but it's just Satan trying to ruin you. Don't let that happen.

I am on the fence. I am 100% christian and on the fence between seeking help for my lesbian activities and just staying this way. I can't seem to really shake it. I feel that it is the way I am, and I love it. It is intergrated into my life. I love it because I feel it is me.... It's like being a female and God telling you you are male despite all evidence and likes. I don't know what to do. I choose God above all but how do I even get rid of it? If it is not right then how do I loose it? I want to let it go but I love the culture and lifestyle. This doesn't feel like sin. At all. I have tried to let it go hundreds of times but never did it stick. I'm only 16... I just want to be right with God... Help me.

I have sympathy with such people who say they were born that way.
I do not know the answer and cannot judge.
Certainly no offspring would result in such a marriage, so this
could have been God's thought (?)
For myself I say leave them in peace to live their lives as a
couple as many do.
Changing partners without true relationship by any couple is wrong,
for marriage is a sacred bond. So to those who have had several
partners, who is the better or worst.
We have seen that AIDS caused much tragedy and one reason God would
not sanction such relationships. God only wants what is in our
best interests as a whole and loves us all.

The Bible is Gods words and laws given via his earthly chosen messengers - if you have a problem with the bible you have a problem with God.

I'm not Christian or gay,and have always been surprised that anyone that is gay would be Christian. As the author points out so eloquently, the bible is very anti-gay as far as men are concerned.
