Nutrition And Christian Diets
As we all know, there are just a ton of books out there on diet and nutrition, and even a few on Christian diets and nutrition. However, as we also know, there is only one true Book that we have received direct from God Himself – and that one true special Book is the Holy Bible itself.
So when it comes down to what is proper diet and nutrition, I always find myself going to the one Book that will have the real truth in it – and that one Book is the Holy Bible.
And what do we find when we look in the Bible for what God’s opinion may be on how we should be eating in this life – quite of bit of information on exactly what foods God wants us to be eating and what foods He wants us to stay completely away from.
I personally believe that God has perfectly created all of the foods we should be eating down here as we journey through this life. It is only when man tries to get into the middle of it and change and alter the way God has perfectly made our foods that we start to get into major trouble, as our physical bodies were only meant to handle the foods that God has made for us.
For those of you who are looking for a very good book that deals with diet and nutrition strictly from a biblical point of view, we would highly recommend the following book:
“The Maker’s Diet” by Jordan Rubin
Long story short, this man had a bad case of Crohn’s disease. He literally tried every kind of diet under the sun with no success. He traveled to quite a few different countries looking for a diet that would cure him from this horrible affliction. He then had a friend who told him that he should check into the Bible to see what God had to say about what we should be eating in this life.
He then did major research from the Bible on what foods God was wanting us to eat, along with what foods we should be staying completely away from. He then changed his diet according to these biblical guidelines and within 3-4 months he completely cured himself of the Crohn’s disease.
Once again, God the Father knows exactly what we should be eating in this life. And not only does God have perfect knowledge in this realm, but He has also made all of the foods directly Himself that will properly sustain us while we are living down here on this earth.
For those of you who are looking for someone who has done quite a bit of extensive research on this topic, especially from a biblical point of view, you may want to check this book out, as he gives you many of the main Bible verses on this topic, along with specific guidelines of what we should be eating in this life.

If I come across any more good books on this topic from a good biblical point of view, I will add them to this list. And if any of you know of any other good books that deal with diet and nutrition from a complete biblical point of view, please pass over the titles and authors and we will then add them to the list, as many of the bad foods we are now eating are killing us and cutting our lives way too short.
I believe in the coming years ahead we will be seeing many more good books coming out on the connection between the Bible and what we should be eating in this life. Very few other books I have read on diet and nutrition have ever quoted or referred back to the Bible as to what foods we should be eating in this life.
Look for Christian diets and nutrition to become a very hot topic in the coming years ahead, as many of the baby boomers in our country start doing major research in this area so they can live good, quality, healthy lives as they enter into their retirement years. Many of the people back in the Bible days lived good, long, healthy lives, and the reason for that was because they were eating the foods that God had made for them to eat. Once again – our Father knows best!
