Proverbs 18:21 – Bible Verse for the Day

This next Bible verse for the day should be one that is not only memorized by all of us, but it is one that should also be kept front and center in our walk with the Lord so we never, ever forget to abide by the revelation that is in this extremely important verse.
This next verse will tell us that life and death are in the power of the tongue. Just stop and think for a moment what kind of important revelation is being given to us by the Lord just in this one-line verse alone.
Bottom line – what words we choose to speak out to other people in this life can either bring them life or bring them death. As a result, we should all learn how to clean up our speech and how we express ourselves to others.
We need to build up others as to who they are in Christ with good and positive words of encouragement and edification, not tear them down with words of condemnation, harshness, and criticism.
Parents with their children, spouses with one another, and friends with one another all need to abide by the revelation that is in this most important verse. If we do, we can then bring true life, peace, happiness, joy, and harmony in the environments we are now currently living in and working in.
Once again, here is this extremely vital and important verse straight from the Word of God that can literally change the atmosphere in the environment you are currently living in:
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” (Proverbs 18:21)
To those of you who are having a hard time in abiding by this verse, simply go to God the Father in prayer and ask Him, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to help clean up your speech life and how you express yourself to all of those around you. If you do, the Holy Spirit will then move in to help clean up your speech and how you talk and express yourself to others.
This is a deeper sanctifying type of work the Holy Spirit can do with each born-again believer if they will just simply go to God the Father in prayer and ask Him for this kind of help.

yes a very good verse–as a matter of fact god himself put it into practice today.my daughter sent me an e-mail that was very degrading and offensive.i went to him and cried out for his living water to be poured out thru me back to her and he gave me the most beautiful and loving words to speak to her that if she comes under the conviction of gods spirit there will be life for her.

I have loved todays reading about the power in the tongue . Having going through some difficulties myself right now , it has ministered to me to always talk positive and treat all those around me and even my enemies with a positive mind and atitude . I never know which words iwill be forced to swallow if ever they are returned to me.

When we talk about our love & rights, Unto what standards ?. The Bible states it to be of the manner foolish & abominations unto God. Sin which is death has no rights, which rights have been lost from the very beginning due to disobedience to the word of GOD.. But GOD in His wisdom, before the foundations were laid chose each one in His Christ. As Jesus Christ said “Be ye perfect as your Heavenly Father is” & this perfection is not found anywhere other than in the Christ preordained by GOD. So the way is, emptying all of our so called rights, loves, our whole selves & receive Christ to be In Him by Faith. For in Christ is all of ourselves in Perfection, the standard reguired of GOD, such that we be no more our old selves, but the new man born in Him, for them who are born of GOD cannot Sin. So in Him is all our love, rights etc, because in Him is life off the father, by the Holy Spirit. Without Him we are a nothing. By this we be in Him & He be in us, in being true to the words of Jesus Christ “I am in The Father & The Father in me” & “Without The Father I can do nothing”. HE is the way, in the Truth of Life to the Father. The only way.

I find this site to very unlifting and I compeled to throw a very important question out to anyone who can shed more light on how am feeling. What I find REALLY,REALLY hard to comprehend is the fact that I cannot say a bad word to a person, no matter what I am always there to pick people up when they fall. I should have been a councilor by this, because I talk to people who I know and who I haven’t even met on the phone,
Everyday on the other end of the line listening to people’s problems and trying to give words of wisdom and encouragement, but if I every encounter with a problem of my own, lord help me, there’s noone available to even listen or even to make a phone call to find out if am ok. I know am not the only person going through this phase but I have to ask God some serious question as to why people seeks to attatch themselves to me for help even in the smallest way,
Though I assist from the bottom of my heart with no question in mind, but sometimes even the same ones you put your life on the firing line for, they trun around and becomes your oppositions and deadly enemies. It pains my heat because of experiences am having, my heart is been ripped out torn in pieces and my reputation is been dragged through the muds, am hurting , am hurting, am hurting, am hurting is beyond words to explains. Who will understand me unless you have been through it.
Now I ask God, should I close up my heart of compassion ? because if I did I would’nt be hurting so much now. I could have easily walked away and allow people to sort their own problems out but I chose to stop by the wayside and help someone carry their load, but their load becomes my load is a very devasting way which has been going on for over TWO years. Did I make a mistake or am understanding the bible in a wrong way ? someone please tell me why.

I would want to share a comment i was given by a total stranger one day as i was coming out of fasting and prayer centre in one of the towns here in Kenya . The lady looked at me and said your heart must have many wounds and hurts and when i aksed her why this was her response
People with Good heart , jovial and happy tend to get hurt alot both by freinds , relatives and even strangers .Good hearted people have a temperament that is calm is nature and in one way or the other this people tend to have strong belief and connection with GOd .You see no human being can be able to handle or comfort you with the strength that you require and i believe that Only God offers you this . Sometimes you might feel very difficult and to stand up and move on , but when you do , u will be amazed because you will look back and wonder how did i do That ????? and this is when its said that its by His Grace that you were able. Do not despiar but instead try and find Joyy in helping those who are around you and one day and am sure of this God will give you someone who will take care of you without Questions ,Rules or a must do list . Am telling you this but i know some other days you feel like giving up but i also know that you always find a way to stand up because Our Lord has given you sufficient Grace

Momika….hahahaha same here.Same thing is happening to be,but you just cant give up now my sis.If you do now 3 persons will loose out 1;you,you will be loosing out on all the blessing of God in your life,if thats your calling there is nothing you can do about it but pray constantly and seek God’s guidiance.2;those you should be helping will also lose out on your help.3;God, he need you(us) to carrying on his work until he comes.He said go he therefore into the world preaching…encouraging etc. but he also said that your reward is sure.Leave all vengence in the hand of the lord.Ask God to give you the strenght you need on a day to day basis.I have the same problem and i use to question God and mourn but i am thanking God that i have over come with his help.Also ask God to grant you the gift of wisdom ,so that you dont over do anything to weary out your soul.Quess what it is still happening to me but i have learn to depend and trust God in this area of my life.Fuuny i saw this on facebook just now Read:”Dont feel bad if people only remember you when they need you or only when you are there for them.Feel privileged you are like a candle that comes to their mind when there is darkness”.So remember Jesus said that we are the light of the world and light cannot be hidden and when ther no light there is a problem in the main,and if you stop the devil will just find some nasty work for you to do instead.So my sugar pop, contnue to make Jesus proud by feeding his sheep with words of encouragement.I which my brother was here still to give him some encouragement but i cant so do it while you can and you will definetely reap a crown of life when Jesu comes for us.It may be hard but i can say that i am walking in your shoe as well.I will pray for a surplus of endurance and patience in your life Monika.Blessing to you and I rise my hat to you for youe wonderful work.

You probably get attacked by Satan in this area because you have a gift of encouragement. Do not let him get you down. Be true to yourself and the gift that God has given to you. God may be trying to teach you to comfort otherw with the comfort you have been comforted with by Him at times. I am not saying this is easy because it isn’t. I go through this kind of thing as well, but the Lord almost always encourages me to continue on and not give up. You may not see your reward in this life but certainly when we are with Him someday you most certainly will then.
Elizabeth, thanks for your words of encouragement but if I tell you that a few hours ago a friend of mine, not friend but someone I kew for years has ask me for my assistant in something very important, which I am in the position to do but am sorry I have to let her know that I am not getting myself involved in their affairs. She started preaching every scripture from the bible telling me that I have to help people and God wont bless me and my life will never be happy because I refuse to assist.
I told her she’s totally correct but she’s missing the part in the bible where God say he calls even the fools but He dosen’t keeps them. Because I refuse from helping, then I become an enemy to her now, one got to be careful who you surround yourself with and when to take neccesary steps. I cannot be this yes, yes person for each and averyone that I encountered with. She’s not concern about the pain and the sleepless night am having, all that interest her is to get my help. I told her my help cometh from the Lord so she can made the Lord her helper too.
I develope a new approach, anyone ask for help I will direct then to God because He’s the burden bearer, not me and what He done for me He will do the same for them. The eneny doesn’t use your enemy to attack you, he uses your friend, he’s sly and cunning and the only way to get into your life to destroyed it is by using these people to get a foot hold in your life to bring you down and the walked away, leaving you to pick up the pieces. Don’t get me wrong I will continue to help but I have to be very selective but then again when you have the heart that I have it’s hard to say no but today I say enough is enough, I am not helping.

Thank you for giving the Living Word. I have been attacked and wounded many times; when I’m wrong, when I’m right, when I get “it” and when I don’t get “it”, that at times I’ve allowed that to justify my own condemning words. Even today, I need this gentle admonition to edify, and build up with my words, as my blessed Jesus has for me, and He is worthy. Father, forgive me for my unloving words. Don’t give up folks, we need one another.
