Intercessory Prayer
ithout question, one of the most powerful prayer tools we have as believers is intercessory prayer. Intercessory prayer is when you step into the gap for another person and you then pray for that other person’s specific need before the Lord.
I really believe one of the main reasons this is such a powerful thing to do with the Lord is because this is a totally unselfish act, as we are praying for someone else’s needs before the Lord rather than any of our own.
There are several powerful verses back in the OT where God is actually looking for intercessors and wondering why He can’t find any. These verses are telling us that God is actually looking for intercessory prayer warriors – and if He is actually looking for people to intercede before Him from time to time, then that tells us we have a very good chance on getting Him to answer some of our prayers.
That is why this particular form of prayer is so powerful and so effective with the Lord, and why every Christian should include this in their personal prayer life with the Lord from time to time.

Intercessory Prayer has become my favorite now!! It use to be ALL about me. Until God spoke to me one day and said what about your family members, what about your chruch pastor, what about the chruch memembers, what about your manager, what about your community, the lonely, the hunger, the homeless, the widows, the abusive children, the drug dealers, the drug addictive, the child molester, their victims, the cashiers in the stores I shop, the drivers on the street, the unsave, the hurt, the backsliders and on and on I can go.
You see I was busy putting my requests and only mine request to God, at the same time complaining about these things and the way this world is because of it.
I could not see, I fit right into some of these things in my view was so sinful.
Now I have become a “Prayer Warrior” I intercede for all the things I use to complaining about and God has giving me the “Holy Spirit” to see things his way.I pray for myself at midnight.I prayer for others in the midday leaving no room for me to complain about anything/nothing.
Intercede for others is “VERY POWERFUL” It was’nt until I start praying for others that I begin to see my personal prayers answered.
Just look around,there is many people and things you can prayer about, intercede for other, espeically the Pastors and congreation where the focus seem to be on everything but the word of God,the president and this nation, our children etc… Get busy interceding for others, or stay busy complaining.
