Chasing Jesus… Run After Him …. Run Fast……What Does He Really Want?

The transforming power of the love of Christ is available to all. Everyone of us can call out to Jesus and He will answer us. He will meet you right where you are at. Christians falter at times, but when they return to Jesus, He forgives them and strengthens their faith!

You see the love He has for you is not measured by how good you are, or how much good you do for Him. His love is you and me! God is love! We all fall short of the glory of God!

Those of us who pick up our cross and follow Jesus must be willing to die for Him! We must be willing to die to self…..meaning our sinful nature… it must be cut off, carrying it no more! For once we die in Christ We Live!

When Jesus saves us… and we ask for forgiveness of all our sins… and we understand we are sinners in need of a Savior, We ask…then Receive forgiveness, Jesus saves us, and we become born again. We are a new creature! Christians are to tell others about who and what Jesus has done in their lives. That is the duty or call of every Christian on this earth! We are saved for a purpose, just like we were born for a purpose!

Jesus loves when we ask questions for He uses those questions we have to teach us about Him and His ways! He will also use the challenges, struggles, adversity, to help mold and shape us and to draw us to Him!

Think about this, When things are going great in your life, Do you ever really ponder on Jesus? Is He the focal point? But let us change it around! When things are going bad in your life, Do you say Why God! Why! Why is this happening to me? God help me! Please Help me! Does that sound familiar?

We draw closer to God when things are bad… or we hit rough times. We tend to run to Him for help when we do not understand. God knows of these things well because He knows you better than yourself so He will use this as a way to draw you close to Him, Also for the purpose of allowing us to understand that we need Him!

And when we come to God for help for what ever reason, All He wants is our Honesty! Why? Simply put, He wants a relationship with us! A relationship is a two way door it swings both ways right? It is the same with our Relationship with Jesus …..You speak to Him…. And He will speak to you!

And this is one of my favorite quotes…. I love this because it is so very true!

“Christianity is not for people who think they’re already good! It is for people who KNOW they’ve FAILED and WANT HELP! “

Understand that it is so normal to have doubts we often think we have to get good to get God or clean up before we come to Him but in all reality He wants you just the way you are now…. And if your wondering why?

Listen to this…. We have to run out of our own strength, come to the end of our road before we can start walking the road He has for us… We need to come to a place where we are tired and have made a complete mess of ourselves and our lives before saying God could you please Help me? For it’s only when we finally come to the end of our road, God can put us on a new road… a new journey…. a new adventure…..filled with…love, peace, joy, power, anointing , fire, a real zest for life and for Him!

Christians follow Jesus because we believe in Him! And even when we do not understand all of His ways or His plans… We trust the love He has for us… the promises He has made to us.. For He died for our sins to give us life everlasting! And if just if we are willing to give up our own plans for the future, we can participate in Jesus plans!

But really this is the most profound yet so true of a statement… that often time many neglect to understand…. it was so true in my own life as just in one year I have begun to truly see change in my life.. God has brought me into this whole new world and I thought I was there already… yes I was saved in 1999 and God was changing my life then… but it was not until a little over a year I started really growing..

God has gave me a wonderful Husband a great family… Two beautiful churches.. ( We love both of them so we can not let go of either one.. so we go to both! we are so blessed!) Both churches have been so helpful in my walk with Christ. I have learned so much… The love I have received from Covenant has been truly comforting and they are like a healing balm to my soul. Just had to share that…

I said all that to say this…. IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO BE FAMILIAR WITH JESUS TEACHINGS, JESUS TRUE FOLLOWERS LOVE HIM, SUBMIT TO HIM AND HIS AUTHORITY, AND OBEY HIM! AND LET ME POINT OUT HIS AUTHORITY IS NOT HIM POINTING HIS FINGER AT YOU SAYING LOOK AT HOW BAD YOU ARE , NO IT IS HIS PROVISION IN OUR LIVES… HIS LOVE.. HE PLACES INSTRUCTION (THE WORD) IN OUR LIVES FOR OUR PROTECTION NEVER FOR OUR HARM!

These last few weeks have been life changing for me.. I can not even begin to share and speak of the love, joy, peace, that have flooded my heart… as I have sought out to chase Jesus… I am running after Him and I will not stop! And I challenge each and every one of you to do the same and just see what happens in your lives!!!!
