I know the Lord has called me to lay hands on the sick. I have hesitated because I'm afraid I wouldn't know what to say but after reading your reply I feel like I can go forward. I believe that after listening to their pain (as you said) I will be able to pray effectively because I am a compassionate person and hate to see anyone suffering. I had almost the same experience, but with my son. God told me to lay hands on him and pray for his healing, and when I did I was healed also from a condition that was getting progressively worse.
