My demon encounter “Seeing a demon manifest through a woman”

I got a call from a friend one night who wanted me to come over and talk with her. She was saved but she was not living for Christ. She was back-sliding and she was asking for some guidance. Spiritual guidance. We sat there until about 1:30 in the morning. After a few tears and reading the word of God we had breakthrough! It was wonderful to see God move on this person and she was running back to him. That was only the beginning of what ended up to be one of the most profound moments in my Christian walk.

One of her friends had knocked on the door. She was a neighbor and someone who I thought looked familiar but could not place her. Then she started to say “Hey I remember you” “I met you in the doctor’s office when my son was sick” “Remember I was talking to you about looking for a job, and you told me about a job and gave me a number to call.” I said “Oh yeah that’s right!” Then we just talked and she sat down for a while with us. She asked what we were doing and I told her we were reading the word of God. She started to open up about things and then my friend pulled me into another room and began telling me what was going on with her life and I felt so bad for her. She was a complete mess.

She was depressed and lost and my friend told me that she had been trying to witness to her but nothing came from it. We returned to the table and we all got into a long conversation and it was mostly centered on this woman’s life and we mostly listened. I was telling them what God was doing in my life and I really did not know much on spiritual warfare, my knowledge was at best limited.

I have heard of demons being on and in people but have never seen one manifest itself to my natural eye. What I was about to see has changed my outlook forever! My intense passion for working with people who are tormented by demonic spirits, was brought on by what took place that night.

I was sharing with them the doors being opened up and that God was revealing himself. I was beginning to understand more. When I told them I was reading a book on spiritual warfare called “He Came To Set The Captives Free” By Rebecca Brown and started to share a little about what I was learning then this woman who was sitting across from me started to stare at me without blinking her eyes. It was like the other person could not see what I could see and after everything that happened I asked the other person did she know what had taken place and she had no clue.

The woman’s countenance began to change and she got this strange look about her. Her eyes had this look of something I have never seen before. I could tell this was not her and I had a clear understanding that it was a demon! It came up on her and it took control of her body and her mouth. It had such a condescending look and very hateful towards me. If looks could kill I would be dead.

Then it said to me “Hah, you know very little” It was making fun of me. At first I thought what is going on here. I know this person would not just come out and say that to me! It just stared me down like it wanted to kill me. I thought to myself why say that to me? Then it went away and the woman returned to her normal state. The other person who was there had no clue what had just happened!

For a couple of weeks I would replay that scene in my mind. Then I realized that the demon said that because I did know very little. I had only been in the start of learning spiritual warfare. But then I also thought for that demon to say that to me it must have known who I was in Christ and it was trying to intimidate me. Only can a Christian cast out demons. Demons do not recognize who we are, they only recognize if Christ is in us. If we have Christ then we have the power and authority over them.

After that night I thought to myself I never want that on me or my family or friends or anyone for that matter so I want to share with everyone that this is real and demons are real.
