I was homeless, living in my small car, which was inoperative. Due to several persecutions in a row, I ended up parked on church property (at pastor's invitation). Welfare apartments were a block away. My car was hily visible and became the after-dark target for rock-throwing kids (even at 2 a.m. in the morning). I experienced alot of terror there, even after I hung window-protecting boards from the top-racks. (The Sheriff's Dept. is now calling threats of violence "terrorist acts.") What they did to me was a form of "terrorism." I wish I had known about pleading the blood of Jesus over my car. But I DID grow....from calling the police on my newly acquired 911 cell-phone....to getting out of the car, activating my personal defense hand siren and chasing them away! So, maybe I needed those expereiences to help me move THRU my fear. I hope there is no "next time," but in case there is....I'll plead the blood of Jesus around my car and me!!! The Conclusion of this article places ALOT of emphasis on the NECESSITY of one having a `very good, close, intimate, personal relationship with God ~ someone who lives and walks with God on a daily basis'....and that this is the person that `will then have God's divine protection on him......`no evil will befall you.' Folks need to realize that the Number One thing that puts and keeps you in an `intimate personal relationship with God....is NOT church-going or Bible study or tithing or singing in the choir or having your kids involved in church, etc. These are RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES. The Number One thing is SELF-HONESTY ! A close, personal relationship with anyone, including God, requires HONESTY. Some of you learned to hide things from your parents so you would not lose their love. Whereas other people cannot read your mind, you may "pull the wool" over people's eyes, from time to time (fool them about yourself). Don't play this game with God, cuz God CAN read your mind! God ADORES an imperfecet, broken, humble and honest person.............. but is DEAF TO a "perfect phoney." If you're not HONEST WITH YOURSELLF, how can you be honest with God? You wanna get closer to God? GET REAL ! Take off that mask of self-righteousness....and look at your "uglies." God already KNOWS them. You have a God and a Savior Who Love you Unconditionally! Be brave ~ DO IT!.....or you'll NEVER feel the Love of God. You'll just be living "in delusion." (And that's a "hell-of-a-way" to live).
